Abstract:A class of stochastic time-delay nonlinear systems was studied. A controller designed such that the closed-loopsystem was exponentially stable. It was shown that the stabilization via output feedback could be solved by a Lyapunov-basedrecursive design method.

Abstract:This paper is focused on the problem of robustly stabilizing linear uncertain time-delay systems when the full states can not be measured. The systems under consideration are linear systems with time-varying unknown-but-bounded uncertainty and delayed state. An observerbased dynamic output feedback controller is presented to quadratically stabilize the system. A sufficient condition for the robust output feedback stabilizability of the system is derived based on Riccati equation approach and the control law can be constructed by solving two algebraic Riccati equations. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the obtained results.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the robust control analysis and synthesis problem of linear time-varying uncertain systems with delayed state and control when the full state can not be measured. A dynamic output feedback controller is derived to quadratically stabilize the linear time-delay system with norm-bounded uncertainty via introducing a linear delay-free state observer. Sufficient conditions for the existence of robust output feedback control law are derived and two synthesis methods are presented for robust output feedback control law to uncertain time-delay systems. One is to construct robust output feedback control law by two equivalent linear time-invariant structural description for the sufficient conditions and the control law can be obtained by solving two Algebraic Riccati Equations(ARE). The other method is to transform the sufficient conditions into two Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) problems and the control law can be obtained by solving two LMI. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the obtained results.

Abstract:AbstractThe robust output feedback stabilization problem for a class of uncertain linear time‐delay systems containing a saturating actuator is studied in this paper. The systems are described by state differential equations with bounded time‐varying uncertain parameters and unknown constant delay in the state. New criterion for robust stabilizability of the uncertain time‐delay systems is presented and the corresponding observer‐based robust output feedback controller is derived in terms of the solutions of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Simulation results show that the obtained method is feasible.

Abstract:In this paper, we focus on the design of output feedback controller for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems combined with event-triggered control approach. The designed event-triggered threshold is related to the output signal, which further reduces the tracking error. Besides, by co-designing backstepping control method and the event-triggered strategy, the corresponding assumptions for input-to-state stable (ISS) with respect to the measurement errors can be removed. The stability analysis result shows that all signals in the closed-loop system are bounded and the tracking error is bounded by a small constant depending on event-triggered threshold parameter. Simulation results show the performance and effectiveness of the designed controller.

Abstract:In this paper, the input-output finite-time stability and stabilization for distributed parameter systems was studied. The concept of input-output finite-time stability for distributed parameter systems was defined. By employing Lyapunov functional theory, sufficient conditions of input-output finite-time stability for distributed parameter systems were given. Sufficient conditions for the existence of distributed state feedback controllers which ensure the closed-loop distributed parameter systems be input-output finite-time stable were also proposed. Finally, a numerical example was given to illustrate our results.

Abstract:This paper investigates the issue of output feedback stabilization for networked control systems. The randomly sampled measurement process caused by the time-varying channel load is modeled as a Markov chain. An event-driven transmitter, which depends on the measurement sampling period, is introduced to transmit the control signal. In order to achieve a less conservative result, a novel output feedback controller, including both sampling and event-driven transmitter-induced delay indexes, is proposed. The sufficient and necessary condition for the mean-square stability, the stochastic stability, and the exponential mean-square stability for the closed-loop system is established, and the controller is designed by using the cone complementarity linearization approach. Finally, based on the ZigBee real communication channel, a cart and inverted pendulum system is shown to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:This paper focuses on robust stabilization analysis and synthesis for linear time-varying uncertain dynamic systems with delayed state. A dynamic output feedback controller is presented to quadratically stabilize the plant for all admissible uncertainties and the sufficient conditions for the existence of output feedback robust stabilizing controller are derived. Two equivalent linear time-invariant structural descriptions for the time-varying uncertain systems with delayed state are obtained to get the controller gain matrix and the observer gain matrix.

Abstract:This paper addresses the output feedback stabilization problem of linear systems with time-varying delayed states and controls. The proposed controller can be obtained by solving a special algebraic Riccati equation. It is also shown that the stabilizing controller design of a given delayed linear system via dynamic output feedback is equivalent to that of an augmented delayed linear system via static output feedback. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:Recursive design scheme of decentralized output feedback global stabilization in probability was presented for a class of large-scale parameter strict-feedback nonlinear stochastic systems with time delay. A new form of stochastic control Lyapunov function with time delay was proposed to construct decentralized output feedback memoryless controllers which achieved global asymptotic stability in probability for the considered systems. The inverse optimal controllers are redesigned with cost functional includes penalty on control effort, and when it has an infinite gain margin.

Abstract:In this paper, the output feedback stabilization problem is investigated for a class of low-order stochastic nonlinear time-delay systems with the lower-triangular form, where the powers of chained integrators are arbitrary real numbers between 0 and 1, and the multiple time-vary delays act on each system state. Because of the existence of low-order nonlinear terms, the system is not feedback linearizable and differentiable. Based on an extended adding a power integrator approach and a stability theory of stochastic continuous systems, an output feedback controller is systematically designed to ensure the global strong asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system. In the controller design, the negative effect of the multiple time-varying delays is counteracted by skillfully constructing a novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, and the observer gains are determined by developing a recursive selection procedure. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:The output feedback stabilization for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems in lower‐triangular form is discussed. The key feature of the studied systems is that both of time‐delay factors and sensor measurement error are considered into system modeling. To handle these uncertainties in unmeasured states, a form of full‐order state observer is introduced to rebuild the states of the systems. By developing a simple but efficient control scheme, a linear output feedback controller coupled with two different static gains is designed to stabilize the whole system. In contrast to the conventional Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach, a framework of stability analysis based on Lyapunov–Razumikhin function is proposed for the closed‐loop stochastic system. The advantage of the proposed method lies in the superior capability of tackling various types of time delays. Specially, the time derivatives of time‐delay terms can be no less than 1, or even unbounded. Finally, two examples are shown to validate our theoretical results.

Abstract:The problem of static output feedback control is investigated for discrete singular systems with Markovian jump. Two necessary and sufficient conditions for the discrete singular Markovian jump system to be regular, causal and stochastically stable are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. Two kinds of design methods of the desired mode-independent static output feedback controller are given. The explicit expressions for the desired controller are also given. Abstract:This paper is concerned with the issue of stabilization for the linear neutral systems with mixed delays. The attention is focused on the design of output feedback controllers which guarantee the asymptotical stability of the closed-loop systems. Based on the model transformation of neutral type, the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method is employed to establish the delay-dependent stability criterion. Then, through the controller parameterization and some matrix transformation techniques, the desired parameters are determined under the delay-dependent design condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and the desired controller is explicitly formulated. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of output feedback stabilization of stochastic planar nonlinear systems with output constraint. By introducing some new nonlinear mappings, adding a power integrator and homogeneous domination techniques, according to different value ranges of the homogeneous degree in the same form of assumptions, we establish two new design and analysis frames of output feedback stabilization to achieve respectively stochastic asymptotic stability (or asymptotical stability in probability) and stochastic finite-time stability of the trivial solution of the closed-loop system while guaranteeing the requirements of almost sure boundedness of the closed-loop signals and the symmetric output constraint.

Abstract:<p>This article addresses the problem of global output feedback stabilization for a class of time‐varying delay nonlinear systems with polynomial growth rate. The systems under investigation possess two remarkable features: the output is perturbed by an unknown sensitivity function that is not differentiable but continuous, and the nonlinearities are bounded by a polynomial function of the output multiplied by unmeasurable state variables. The new full‐order observer is established by introducing a dynamic gain and filtering unknown nonlinearities and time‐varying delay. With the help of the transformation skill and the reasonable combination of several systems, this article proposes a linear output feedback controller with the dynamic gain and completes the performance analysis based on the construction of two integral Lyapunov functions. Finally, a simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of control strategy.</p>
