Abstract:Focusing on the herdsmen's income status, and promoting the rational distribution have thesignificance on maintaining the frontier stability, enhancing national unity, and building harmonioussocienty. based onanalyzing the herdsmen's income level and its composition, this paper decomposeddifferences of income sources. The results showed the contribution of wage income was the highest betweenherdsmen income and farmer income. However, the contribution of operating income was the highest amongherdsmen incomes in five major pastoral areas. The paper hereby proposed some corresponding strategies.In order to ensure the sustainable increase of herdsmen' income, it is necessary to broaden income sources.Thereby reducing the proportion of operating income to narrow the gap among five major pastoral areas. Tonarrow the gap between herdsman income and farmer income, we should improve the herdsmen's humancapital level to promote the growth of herdsmen's salary income.
