Abstract:According to the fault types and characteristics of vacuum system of large aluminium vacuum brazing furnace,main problems of the existent fault diagnosis of vacuum system are analyzed.A fuzzy Petri net model and reasoning algorithm is represented which are based on the fault tree analysis,aiming at the uncertainty and fuzziness of fault diagnosis of the large vacuum system.And the example of fault diagnosis of diffusion pump not working the validity and efficiency of our model and algorithm are proved.

Abstract:Performance of the most existing fault detection and classification methods can only be guaranteed when each of their own assumptions are met. In other words, a method works well in one condition may not perform well in another. In this paper, a new analytic hierarchy process (AHP) based fuzzy decision fusion system is proposed to tackle the fault classification problem. The AHP approach is introduced to determine the priorities of different classifiers, which are further utilized as the weights in ensemble system. Comparing to conventional equal weighted fusion system, the proposed fuzzy fusion system is able to provide more rational and convincing fault classification result. Effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy fusion system with model evaluation is verified through the Tennessee Eastman (TE) benchmark process.

Abstract:Fault tree analysis (FTA) is a widely used reliability assessment tool for large and complex engineering systems. The conventional fault tree analysis method, which contains AND, OR, and Voting gates, etc., can efficiently build an analytical model to represent combinations of component failures that cause the failure of a system. However, due to its limited modeling capability, we may confront difficulties when modeling dynamic systems which involve complicated dynamic characteristics such as sequence dependency and functional dependency. Markov-based dynamic fault tree analysis (DFTA) extends the static FTA by introducing additional gates to model such complicated interactions among events. In many circumstances, it is quite difficult to obtain an accurate system reliability estimate due to limited data. To overcome this issue, a fuzzy dynamic fault tree model is put forth to assess system reliability. To obtain the membership function of the fuzzy probability for the top event of the studied fault trees, the extension principle is employed to calculate the associated membership function via a pair of parametric programming problems. Finally, a case study is presented to demonstrate the application of the proposed approach for the hydraulic system of a CNC machining centre.

Abstract:The deviation of SDG node is fuzzed as qualitative fuzzy deviation,and the new deviations of child nodes are fused into the possibility of fault source of parent node with the analysis of the character of fault information transfer and the adventage of dealing with different malfunction cases.Then the fault diagnosis method based on SDG and fuzzy fusion is built,including SDG modeling,n-ary fault source test and fault diagnosis involved.An example of fault diagnosis on aluminum reduction cell shows the validity of the method.

Abstract:Fault prediction means predicting whether faults occuror not based on historical and present data. This paper first illustrates abrupt fault and slow change fault. The performance parameter of false alarm rates and missed alarm rates are expatiated. The key problem in fault prediction is pointed out. The main methods of fault prediction for dynamic systems are outlined, including neural network, expert system and fuzzy neural network methods. Gray system, particle filter and time series methods are analyzed. Fault prediction disadvantage of gray system and particle filter are illustrated. Excellence and disadvantage of neural network are expounded. The characteristics and typical applications of main fault prediction methods are introduced. Finally, the actual research actuality and existent problem of fault prediction are brought forward. The research trend of fault prediction is pointed out.

This paper introduces the basic conception of Agent, describes the theory and structure of Multi-Agent system, specifies fuzzy set theory, and establishes the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation modal which meets this fault diagnosis system. On this condition it designs diagnosis network configuration, states the fault diagnosis process of the whole system. Abstract:Fault tree analysis (FTA), as an effective reliability assessment tool, is a widely used in analyzing the risk and reliability of large scale and complex engineering systems. Dynamic fault tree analysis (DFTA) extends the static fault tree by defining additional gates to model the complicated interactions, and in most case, Markov models can be used to solve dynamic gates. In many real systems, it is quite difficult to evaluate the probability of failure events preciously due to many uncertainty factors. To account for the uncertainty resulting from the lack of sufficient data or the subjective adjustments from experts, a fuzzy dynamic fault tree model is proposed to assess the system reliability when acquiring precious probability of failure event is impossible. With the aim of obtaining the membership function of the fuzzy probability of the top event, the extension principle is employed. The proposed method and algorithm are demonstrated by a case study of the hydraulic system of a specific CNC machining center.

Finally,the practical maintenance of high voltage generator illustrates that the model is useful in supplying the effective instruction to the optimal maintenance scheme in practice.

Abstract:A novel approach based on fuzzy logic system (FLS) is introduced to short-term load forecasting (STLF).Traditional methods to choose membership functions and fuzzy control rules mainly depend on the experience from experts in professional fields and technologic faculty. In this paper, however, a genetic algorithm based approach is developed to achieve parameters of membership functions and fuzzy control rules.Thus,the difficulties in building forecasting system, to some extent, can be disposed. At last, this new system is tested in actual environment and proves its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic short term load forecasting system.

Abstract:This paper proposes a new method of synthesizing judgment information provided by multiple decision makers.The assessment of the group priorities is formulated as a fuzzy linear programming problem,maximizing the group's overall satisfaction to get the group solution. Abstract:Based on the status monitoring and evaluating of high voltage circuit breaker in domestic and international,fuzzy theory was applied in assessing condition of the HVCB.Firstly,the fuzzy analytical hierarchy was adopted instead of analytical hierarchy which made the judgment more consistent.Then,the paper discussed the main factors of HVCB's condition and evaluated the importance of them.Finally,the multi-layer fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for HVCB was presented,and an example was analyzed.

Abstract:Accurate assessment of system reliability with limited or insufficient statistical data is difficult. This paper presents a method which overcomes the drawbacks of traditional fault tree analysis (FTA) by using FTA based on possibilistic measures and fuzzy logic. This method is designed specifically for situations wherein reliability and safety assessment is imprecise by nature and necessary statistical data is scarce. Based on fundamentals of fuzzy logic, failure possibility is first defined and then fuzzy variables are characterized in the context of possibility theory. Next, subevents in FTA described with natural language are viewed as a collection of elastic constraints of fuzzy variables. Fuzzy rules are generated from linguistic quantification and meaning inference in fuzzy logic. Lastly, an example is used to illustrate the proposed analytical method and reasoning mechanism. Unlike previously reported fuzzy FTA or fuzzy logic-based FTA, this method is an integration of the possibilistic approach and the fuzzy logic-based reasoning approach which is of potential value for creating expert knowledge databases. It can also be applied to other aspects of reliability engineering, addressing ambiguous and subjective uncertainty problems qualitatively and quantitatively.

Abstract:In this paper, we attempt to argue that the uncertainty coming from fuzzy information is ubiquitous in an intelligent fault diagnosis system and that fuzzy pattern recognition is an appropriate tool for the diagnosis of faults in complex devices. In the first place, the characteristics of the faults in a complex equipment system are introduced along with the fuzzy pattern recognition method and principle in intelligent fault diagnosis systems. Then, on the base of the above discussion, the paper gives an applied approach to fault diagnosis that combines the valve value rule with the maximum membership degree rule. Lastly, the practicability and validity of the method is illustrated through a practical example.

Abstract:A fault diagnostic system based on multilevel fuzzy neuralnetworks is presented. According to multilevel, besides the fault spectrum knowledge sets established, there are frequency spectrum characteristic knowledge sets, vibration change characteristic knowledge sets and fault position characteristic knowledge sets. Moreover, there is a more careful description about main functions. In this paper, there is a more comprehensive description about their learning algorithm of the first and third levels neural networks based on fuzzy structure radix function, and the second level neural networks based on fuzzy logic, the problem of fuzzy rule with exponent growth has been solved. By emulation test, the system has been investigated in material application to fault diagnosis in large machinery of some refinery.

Abstract:To deal with the complexity of power transformers and the variety of fault mechanisms,a fault diagnosis method based on the fuzzy theory and the support vector machine(SVM) is proposed in this paper.In this method,the fault data are firstly preprocessed using fuzzy theory and then identified using SVM in which multi-objective classification and diagnosis results are achieved by employing the one-against-all method.To counter the difficulty of parameters decision in SVM,the multi-layer adaptive algorithm and the k-fold cross validation method are combined to optimize the parameters.Fault diagnosis cases analysis results show that the proposed method can overcoming the conventional diagnosis methods shortcomings of missing codes and absolute coding borders,and it is with more accurate and suitable in practice applications.
