Abstract:Software component plays an important role in the AUTOSAR development process. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical modeling method for AUTOSAR software components, using which developers can conveniently create an AUTOSAR system. Taking into account the various software models of AUTOSAR application layer, we provide three diagram models to properly group the software components into four layers and a component library to improve reusability of component models. In addition, the hierarchical development of the model, along with auto-generation of XML description, is demonstrated based on the application case study of a door light control system.
A Dynamic Model of TCP/IP Networks

Abstract:With the rapid development of Internet, congestion becomes one of the major problems to be solved in network communication. Many congestion control schemes have been figured out to ensure the robustness and stability of TCP/IP networks. They are usually classified into two categories: end-to-end, such as TCP control algorithm, and Active Queue Management (AQM) schemes. However, most of these schemes are based on expert experience, not on the network dynamic characteristics. For this reason, the purpose of this paper is to analyze TCP/IP networks in control theory. Specifically, a fluid-based data transmission dynamic model is built for a simple TCP/IP network with a single bottle-neck link, then this simple network is decomposed into several basic parts with respective dynamic models. The model of the whole network is thus built from synthesizing models of sub- networks mentioned above. Based on the proposed dynamic model, performances of TCP/IP networks can be estimated and new algorithms for congestion control can be developed. This model is well validated by comparing the analytical results with the NS simulation results.

Abstract:2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile communication systems are run concurrently now, and the trend is, new air interface standards are rapidly developing and emerging. As to unify different air interfaces as much as possible thus eliminate the disadvantages caused by this diversity, we proposed a unified mobile protocol stack. We built a Standard Air Interface Functional Model (SAIFM) as a functional abstraction of different air interfaces, and then constructed our mobile protocol stack according to this functional model. During this progress we found that the Component Technology fitted the structure of our SAIFM very well, so we united the SAIFM with the so called Network Sub-Protocol Component Framework (NSPCF) technology. In order to optimize its performance we also consulted the technique used in Linux Loadable Kernel Module and finally implemented the Component Based Unified Mobile Protocol Stack (CB-UMPS) which is highly compatible and extendable, and thus realized a multi-mode mobile cell phone.

Abstract:Software reliability is an important parameter to evaluate software,and post-development evaluating methods are commonly used.Based on the present hierarchical-component system reliability model,the relativity between the components in the same level was studied.A fairly applicable and hierarchical-component-matching software reliability evaluating model was proposed and extended to a common component-based software reliability evaluation model.With this model,software reliability can be forecasted during the development process,and can estimate part of the IPv6 protocol stack software's reliability.

Abstract:Modern embedded systems tend to be heterogeneous in the sense that components in a system have diverse interaction styles. Composition of subsystems with very different characteristic complicates embedded software development and challenges understandability, composability, and scalability of models. The paper describes a model driven component framework, Pcanel, to solve this problem. It proposes a hierarchical model structure and semantic framework that supports heterogeneous components. Pcanel drives component execution by models of computation, allowing the formal analysis, verification and validation of the embedded software. Models explicitly represent the designer's understanding of the system, and capture the requirements and the design of the application. The paper presents the principles and techniques of Pcanel in details. Examples in terms of real systems are given that illustrate how Pcanel addresses the heterogeneity nature and the assurance issues of embedded software composition.

Abstract:For implementation of complex embedded system models on operating system, a new embedded operating system kernel based on model-driven architecture called Pcanel was proposed. When the kernel provided a component-based runtime environment, finely granular component was defined as basic entity, . and component frameworks were taken as the architecture for controlling component computation. Abstract computation models in design phase were mapped on the component frameworks to solve functional problems of embedded systems,and the component frameworks controlled the executions of components to solve non-functional problems. In the transition system,the control flow of compenent was separated from computation flow by introducing a formal transition system of state and action in Pcanel, and the composition of frameworks was implemented in a formal recursive way. Experimental results indicate that Pcanel can be flexibly applied in complex embedded systems. With resriction on the component model,the composition and verification of components can be achieved more easily.

Abstract:The architecture and implementation of network protocol stack is very important for network communication. And now CMP(Chip Multi-processor) architecture is the trend of CPU because of its excellent parallelism and high efficiency. So this paper proposes a Component-based Network Protocol Architecture(CNPAM) based on Intel Multi-core. In this architecture, two important modules are brought in: distribution module and migration module. Distribution module takes charge of distributing close function components to the same core group in which the two cores share the L2 cache. And migration module guarantees the load balance of all cores. The performance of CNPAM gets a significant improvement.

Abstract:The development of distributed, concurrent software in embedded systems is becoming increasingly complex and error-prone. Model-based integration of reusable components is advocated as the method of choice. To this end, we propose a framework to support component-based model integration, hierarchical functionality composition, and reconfiguration of systems with continuous and discrete dynamics. In this framework, components are designed and used as building blocks for integration, each of which is modeled with abstract ports, reactions, and communication schemes. It uses hierarchical composition to hide the implementation details of components, and keeps the components at the same level of hierarchy interacting under a well-defined model of computation. Code generation takes the design decisions down to the final running system. Within this framework, embedded software can be constructed by selecting and then connecting components in a functionality repository, specifying models and transforming them to executable codes.

Abstract:TCP/IP network stack is irreplaceable for Web services in datacenter front-end servers, and the demand for which is growing rapidly for emerging high concurrency network service applications (including Internet, Internet of Things, mobile Internet, etc.) especially. The existing network stack schemes often face the dilemma between the data center server resource utilization (i.e., high CPU efficiency) and application service quality (i.e., low tail latency). We break this dilemma via a flexible architectural design QStack, which simultaneously achieves CPU efficiency and low tail latency in user-space network stack for front-end datacenter server. QStack proposes elastic framework and application definable full-datapath priority, such that the network stack collaboration among CPU cores horizontally and coordination across network layers in fine grained vertically on demand. We prototype QStack on commodity servers. Testbed experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of QStack over state-of-the-art user-space network stack designs.

Abstract:Component is to have a solution to reuse software and the introduction of its attempt to a low self-up, pre-and large-scale custom-assembled to resolve the problem created the software system. On the market today there are a number of components-implemented model which have been widespread used. However, due to commercial secrets, companies or organizations are reluctant to develop a component model to integrate complete programs, which make it difficulty to carry out cross-component model interoperability. In this paper, a new component model is proposed based on the Web Service technology and the strong Assembly and Disassembly of components. By separating the component-based applications with the framework of the internal components, the proposed component model is reusable and consistent to multi-platforms. The analysis of relationship between the system framework and the component model proves that component management and mutual operations are implemented inside the system framework, and the systems based on the component model are open, flexible and maintainable.

Abstract:A new software architecture model based on remote component cache algorithm for high performance and stability was proposed. This model made cooperation between local and remote components with complex calculations were done at remote components and local components were responsible for the construction of system framework and business logic. The abstract definition of component, component agent, connector and component cache were described, and the LRU (least recently used) mapping arithmetic and the component cache mechanism were discussed. The experimental results show that the algorithm scheme can greatly improve the system performance in different software architecture.

Abstract:Software reuse and software development based on components becomes inevitable trend in software engineering development and industrial production, which can improve software productivity and quality effectively. Through the analysis for difficulties of software development and use based on existing component implementation models, a design-layer-oriented component model is proposed supporting composition on interface, and its effects on component composition are expatiated. Abstract:In this paper we present an architecture named Component-Based Mobile Protocol Framework (CBMPF). In this architecture, all wireless protocols are divided into components by different policies. CBMPF has three parts: Wireless Protocol Component Library, Wireless Protocol Component Development and Test Platform (WPCDTP) and Embedded Operating System for Dynamic Load (EOSDL). Wireless protocol components are the base of the CBMPF. Thus the protocols or part of them on the mobile devices can be replaced by the protocol or components from the remote library in order to use wireless protocols more flexibly and more efficient. The experimental results show that our CBMPF works well for wireless protocols.
