Abstract:Web-based parts library is important to the realization of mass customization. In this paper, the development status of web-based parts library is introduced and compared. At last,some suggestion to develop an adaptation to our situation's web-based part library is proposed.

Abstract:Web parts library (WebPlib) can be used to promote share and reuse of parts in large scale. Firstly, the building methods of WebPlib were studied, including building parts family, parts description based on tabular layouts of article characteristics, parts description based on functional and structural semantic characteristics and application of parts ontology. Secondly, the framework of an application project of WebPlib was presented. Thirdly, the foundation and application of parts ontology library were researched to solve the problem of varieties of structures and names in enterprise parts families. Furthermore, some key technologies were discussed. Finally, an application example was provided.

Abstract:To promote the ordering of parts classification and correlation in Web-based parts library,methods and technologies of Web 2.0 were introduced into Web-based parts library.Firstly,the difference between Web 2.0-based parts library and Web 1.0-based parts library was analyzed,and the key technologies involving in Web 2.0-based parts library were summarized.Secondly,the framework of Web 2.0-based parts library was presented.Around this framework,the application technologies of Web 2.0 technology in parts library were studied,furthermore,combining Web 2.0-based self-organizing model,parts library's self-organizing technology and tag ontology construction and maintenance's self-organizing technology were studied.Finally,the prototype of Web 2.0-based parts library management system was developed to provide a novel way for promoting the popularization of parts library's construction,maintenance,use and the ordering of resources in parts library.

Abstract:In this paper, a web-based parts library management system - webParts is studied. WebParts allows engineers and designers to search for component information semantically and construct digital product design chain according to the information. WebParts is built based on PLIB standard (ISO13584) and "tabular layouts of article characteristics technology"(GB/T10091). According to the PLIB standard, a dual description method (semantic description and logical expression level) is used to express component information. The data dictionary (ISO13584-42) is used to description component information at semantic level. Because the typical structure and function feature are not described explicitly in component data dictionary (PLIB ontology), a semantic feature description dictionary (ontology) is added in the data dictionary. At logical description level, a tabular layouts of article characteristics is extracted from PLIB dictionary (especially the part characteristic) according to some rules. At last, three kinds of part search method provided by webParts are introduced.

Abstract:Web-based parts library is a main tool to realize parts resource sharing. Integrating numerous supplier libraries that are autonomous and heterogeneous and providing end user a uniform query interface is a primary requirement for successful implement of Web-based parts library. To solve these conflicts which occur in the integration process, in this paper, we build a PLIB ontology model and the dual hierarchy description model of parts library based on data dictionary technology (PLIB ontology). And then the integration algorithm of numerous supplier libraries is presented based on the two models.

Abstract:In order to implement the share and reuse of parts resource in networked collaborative design, method combining standard technology with XML to build parts library was put forward. At first, based on PLIB the conceptual model and hierarchical organization of parts resource were built. Then, the formalized-expression and storage for parts resource adopting tabular layouts of article characteristics were implemented. Thirdly, each rule of mapping the two kinds of data mode, EXPRESS and tabular layouts of article characteristics, to XML schema was presented to realize the parts library data conversion and transmission in network environment. Abstract:The difficult problem of how to expand the parts library dynamically is analyzed.Model parameters-driven part design method is proposed.Taking the injection mold parts as an example,the parts parameters′ complexity is analyzed.The single inheritance structure method is proposed to describe the parts parameters,and the multilevel data storage structure is proposed as the way to store the parts parameters,so that the 2D table(or complicated tree-like table) is simplified as a linear data structure.Each record of this data structure contains only one parameter for the parameter control relation.In such a way,the serial and standard part library is constructed which can be expanded dynamically.With this part library construction method,offline edit function of the 3D parts is realized.

Abstract:It is necessary to use libraries of parts when using CAD software. But, deficiencies and problems exist in most libraries, so we developed a part management system called GS-PM. Based on features, but not geometric information, it not only improves efficiency but also enables some applications of higher levels, for instance, the parts can be used in different CAD software. This part library can work in client/server mode to share information. It can also be applied to establish a customized visual part library (a Web part library), which can build parts dynamically according to the user's needs

Abstract:Standardization of mechanical parts across enterprise and in large scope is benefit to promote the reuse degree of parts and improve the specialization and co-ordination of industrial production. In this paper, a user-group requirements based approach for standardization of part is proposed. The main idea of the approach is to collect, statistic and analyze the users’ requirements of mechanical parts through the web-based parts library and then construct the evaluation index system to instead the traditional parts spectrum analysis which used in GT (Group Technology). The key steps and methods are discussed and the application case is introduced for verifying the proposed approach.

Abstract:In order to satisfy diverse customer requirements with reasonable costs and high quality, as well as share and exchange information of part and product among collaborators, take master structure of product family and parts library standard into account, a means of information modeling of customized product design based on parts library is proposed, system architecture and implementation method are discussed in detail. According to the orders, the customized product structure would be derived from master structure by the configurable design process and the new part would be derived from master model through variant design. Meanwhile, part model information is expressed by parts library standard in which provided capability to describe part information in multiple domain and perspective. Abstract:— 3D part library is an ideal approach to reuse the existing design and thus facilitates the modeling process, which will enhance the efficiency. In this paper, we implemented the thought on the SolidWorks platform. The system supports the functions of type and parameter selection, 3D template driving and part assembly. Finally, BOM is exported in Excel format. Experiment shows that our method can satisfy the requirement of die and mold designers.
