Image Matching Based on Edge Gradient

Abstract:The paper proposes image matching algorithm based on edge gradient. The algorithm takes into account the edge position and gradient, and then estimates the best matching position on the basis of morphologic dilation. Experiments for both synthetic and real images show that the proposed method has advantages of high matching accuracy, simplicity, and no parameter.
