Cultural characteristics of pathogenic fungi of rice brown spot

Abstract:The conditions of mycelial growth and spore generation of pathogenic fungi of Bipolaris oryzae were stud-ied, such as light, pH, temperature, carbon source and nitrogen source. The results showed that the myelia grew best un-der light dark alternate(12 h/12 h), 25℃ on the PDA medium with pH 9, sucrose as carbon source, and glycine as nitro-gen source. The colony morphology varied under the conditions of different media, light, carbon and nitrogen sources. The condition of 24-h full light, 25℃, pH 9, soluble starch as carbon source, and potassium nitrate as nitrogen source was the best of spore germination.
