Abstract:The stability test of the extract from Mallus doumeri leaf showed that it need to avoid light, and could keep better stability in acidic condition and in the temperature less than 60℃. The tolerance of the September of the extract was superior to March and June.

Abstract:The stability of aqueous of sea buckthorn leaves flavonoids extracts under different conditions including temperature,pH,air,oxidizing agents,reducing agents,carbohydrates and food additives were studied.Results showed that aqueous of sea buckthorn leaves flavonoids extracts exhibited high stability at room temperature in neutral and weak acid environment.It was stable to some common food additives.But high temperature,alkali,oxidizing agents and reducing agents should be avoided and it should be stored at room temperature in a sealed dark.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the factors influencing the stability of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid and investigate the antioxidant activity of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid in vitro.METHODS The stability of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid in different solvents,temperatures,pH values,and illuminations were measured by HPLC.And its antioxidant activity (DPPH free radical scavenging capacity) was measured by UV.RESULTS The stability of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid was influenced by the solvent,pH value,temperature and illumination.3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid showed strong DPPH free radical scavenging capacity [3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid's IC50 value was (372.56±l.04)μg·mL-1,Vc's was (294.54±l.03)μg·mL-1].CONCLUSION It is recommended to be stored in acidic aqueous solution under low temperature and light protection condition during the separation,purification and analytical process.3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid will have broad application prospects in pharmaceutical,foodstuff,cosmetics and fine chemicals industries as an antioxidant.

Abstract:This paper studies the extraction of essential oil from Diospyros L.leaves by steam distillation.The optimum extraction technological conditions according to orthogonal tests are as follows:adding 8 times water(w/w) ,dipping for 1.0 h,stirring for 20 min,then steam distilling for 2 h.Different growing and storing periods showed different yields and the highest yield occured on October and decreased from 3.71%(0 month) to 2.13%(12 months) during (storing).The essential oil extracted by steam distillation is light yellow liquid with faint scent of Diospyros L.leaves,which would be a good spice for perfume in food,tobacco,drink,ect.and would be a new resource of natural fragrance and flavor.

Abstract:This paper deals with the effect of several factors such as heating level, pH value and sugar addition on the stability of water solution of bamboo leaf flavonoids (BLF), taking total flavonoids and scavenging activity to O~(.)_(2) as indexes. The results show that BLF water solution was of high heat stability in subacid environment, the optimal pH located in the range of 4.5-5.0 and 10% sugar content was helpful to the stability and activity of BLF.

Abstract:In this study,the extraction of astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis was investigated by mixture organic solvents and the stability of astaxanthin were study.The response surface methodology was adopted in this paper and the Box-Behnken Design was applied to the study of the effects of extracting temperature,extracting time and liquid-material ratio.The experimental results showed that the best extraction conditions were:extracting temperature 51 ℃,extracting time 42 min and the ratio of material to liquid 1∶640.Under these conditions,the rate of astaxanthin is 92.04％.The property of astaxanthin was unstable and easy to be decomposed.The content of astaxanthin stabilized when temperature were lower than 40 ℃;the light of sun and UV could seriously damage astaxanthin;the metal ions of Zn2+,Cu2+,Fe2+,Mg2+,Na+ and Ca2+ had huge impacts on the astaxanthin;however the antioxidant of VC and Na2SO3 could damage the astaxanthin and the BHT could barely protect astaxanthin from oxidation.The results indicated that the degradation of astaxanthin could be slow down with little metal ions under the condition of refrigeration in the dark.

Abstract:The aroma components in secondarily formulated flavor blocks of different storage durations were analyzed by solvent extraction combining with GC/MS.The changes of these components were evaluated by principal component analysis and t-test.The results showed that the aroma components in the samples could be satisfactorily extracted by dichloride methane with good repeatability.The results of GC/MS analytical data processed by principal component analysis and t-test reflected the variation of the samples as a whole and significance of changes of individual aroma component during storage,which provided reference for the evaluation of the stability and storage duration of secondarily formulated flavor blocks.

Abstract:Under the ultrasonic extraction,tartaric acid acidified ethanol solution as extractant was used to extract anthocyanin from solanum tuberdsm. Influence factors of solanum tuberdsm anthocyanin's stability were explored such as different metal ions,acidity,and temperature. The experimental results showed that its optimal condition of extraction was 0. 5% tartaric acid aqueous solution as extractant,material ratio 1∶50,and ultrasonic extraction( 40 Hz) for 30 min. Extraction yield came to 1. 003 mg / g. In temperature of 5 ~ 60 ℃,solanum tuberdsm anthocyanin's stability was good. When the pH of 2 ~ 4,the color was good and metal ions of Fe3 +,Cu2 +,and Ag+affected the stability of solanum tuberdsm anthocyanin.

Abstract:this paper studied extraction parameters of the liquid extract from Eucommia ulmoides leaves by orthogonal experiment extracting time:30 min,temperature:80℃,ratio of leaf to water: 1∶20.transmittancy of the extract were influenced by temperature:lower under higher temperature and longer time.Higher temperature must be avoided in extracting process.Transmittancy of E.ulmoides was highest at pH 4~5.Extraction liquid was easier to browning,so adding β-CD 、Na_2SO_3 and Vc can prevent browning.
Study of the Volatile Profile Characteristics of Longan During Storage by a Combination Sampling Method Coupled with GC/MS

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) is a kind of subtropical fruit, but it has a very short shelf life under normal ambient conditions. In this work, a combination sampling method, including headspace solid phase micro-extraction (HSSPME), simultaneous distillation extraction (SDE) and steam distillation (SD), was used to study the volatile profile characteristics of longan at the fresh and deteriorated storage phases followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) detection. The study would provide a method for investigating the volatile profile characteristics of longan during storage and some helpful clues for quality discrimination.RESULTS: In total, 28 and 22 volatile compounds of fresh and deteriorated longan were identified. Alkenes and esters were the main volatile components of longan. beta-ocimene accumulated, whereas allo-ocimene and 3,4-dimethyl-2,4,6-octatriene decreased during storage. Different volatile profile characteristics at the fresh and deteriorated storage phases obtained by HSSPME were specified by principal component analysis (PCA). Typical volatile compounds were distilled by a common model strategy.CONCLUSION: The volatile profiles of longan during storage were studied using a combination of sampling methods followed by GC-MS detection. Five typical volatiles contributing significantly to the difference in volatile profile characteristics of longan at the fresh and deteriorated storage phases were distilled using a common model strategy. These compounds are potential bio-markers for longan degradation. Tentative results suggest that combining HSSPME with conventional volatile isolation methods would provided more representative data on changes in the volatile compounds of longan during storage and some helpful clues for quality discrimination. Effects of Different Storage Times on the Stability of 12 Traditional Chinese Medicine Decoction Pieces

Abstract:As storage time increases, the quality of traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) may change, and stability is an essential aspect of ensuring the safety and efficacy of TCMs. In this study, the effects of different storage times on the stability of 12 decoction pieces were evaluated. High-performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the contents of the active components in the 12 decoction pieces. The chemical composition data were analyzed using fingerprinting and clustering heatmap (CH). Results showed that during storage, significant variations (relative standard deviation > 10%) were observed in the levels of paeoniflorin in Paeoniae Radix Alba and Paeoniae Radix Rubra, hesperidin in Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride, bufothionine in Siccus Bufo and chlorogenic acid in White Chrysanthemi Flos and Lonice Raejaponicae Caulis. However, calycosin-7-glucoside and calycosin in Astragali Radix Praeparata Cum Melle and chlorogenic acid in Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, Yellow Chrysanthemi Flos and Mori Folium were all <10%, which is consistent with the CH. Decoction pieces can be stored for up to six months, but it is recommended that volatile oil-containing and animal-based decoction pieces should not be stored for more than one month. This study provides new perspectives for the stability and quality control studies of TCM.

Abstract:[Objective]To extract and purify flavonoid from Pteridium aquilinum var.latiusculum,and to study its stability.[Method]Extracted with 70% alcohol,content of flavonoid from Pteridium aquilinum var.latiusculum was determined by UV spectrophotometry.Effect of temperature,illumination,pH value,stabilizing agent,carbohydrate and metal ions on the stability of flavonoid were investigated.[Result]The content of flavanoid in root of P.aquilinum var.latiusculum reached as high as 4.264 0%.Except for carbohydrate and pH value in 4-6,effects of other factors like natural light,highlight,reducing agent and Mg2+,Al3+and Fe3+ on the stability of flavonoids from Pteridium aquilinum var.latiusculum were distinct.[Conclusion]This study provides theoretical evidence for the further application of Pteridium aquilinum var.latiusculum.
Study on Thermal Stability of Rosmarinic Acid in Different Solvents and It's Degradation Products

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the influence of temperature and heating time on the stability of chemical reference of rosmarinic acid in different solvents,and main degradation products of rosmarinic acid in the most unstable media were identified to expound its degradation pathway.METHODS Rosmarinic acid was dissolved in water,70％ ethanol and methanol respectively,heated at different temperatures (20-100 ℃) for 4 h and sampled every hour.The response peak area that before and after heating were determined by HPLC,the remaining percentages of rosmarinic acid were calculated and the main degradation products were identified by HPLC-MS.RESULTS When heating temperature was ≤60 ℃,the remaining percentages of rosmarinic acid in water,70％ ethanol and methanol were all ＞95％,and the remaining percentage of rosmarinic acid in methanol was higher than the others;when rosmarinic acid was heated for 4 h,the residual rates of rosmarinic acid in water and 70％ ethanol were both reduced significantly,while unchanged in methanol.Rosmarinic acid was the most unstable in water among three solvents.Hydrolysis of ester bonds,double-bond addition reaction and oxidation were the main degradation reactions of rosmarinic acid in aqueous solution,and these reactions could produce the major degradation products,such as salvianic acid A,caffeic acid,procatechuic aldehyde,salvianic acid C and its isomer,etc.CONCLUSION Rosmarinic acid is much more stable in methanol than in 70％ ethanol,and the most unstable in water.The stability of rosmarinic acid reduces along with temperature rising and heating time increasing.Thus,methanol is suggested to be a suitable solvent for rosmarinic acid in its research.The temperature should not exceed 60 ℃ and heating time should not exceed 4 h in its extraction,separation and preparation process.

Study on the Bacteriostasis of Some Kinds of Chinese Herbal Medicine Extracting Solution

Abstract:The aim of the research was to provide basis for applying Chinese herbal medicine in the antisepsis and freshness.Extracting solution from 13 kinds of Chinese herbs such as Taraxacum mongolicum,Chrysanthemum indicum L.,Crassostrea gigas,Artemisia argyi,Folium isatidis,Stemona japonica,Ophiopogon japonicus,Zedoary turmeric,Alpinia officinarum,Polygonum cuspidatum,Ligustrum lucidum Ait.,Gleditsia sinensis Lam.and orange peel were prepared to study their spontaneous infection conditions and their bacteriostasis on malic mildew.The extraction rate of T.mongolicum,F.isatidis,S.japonica,O.japonicus,P.cuspidatum,L.lucidum,G.sinensis and orange peel were higher,more than 20%.The extracting solution from C.gigas and A.officinarum had best bacteriostasis,which appeared infection phenomena on the 9th day.The extracting solution from S.japonica and P.cuspidatum had greatest bacteriostasis.And the greater the concentration of extracting solution was,the stronger the inhibiting ability was.5% A.officinarum extracting solution,10% S.japonica and O.japonicus extracting solution almost inhibited the growth of malic mildew.3 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine extracting solution had more obvious inhibition effects on malic mildew and had certain antibacterial ability under natural exposure conditions.The extracting solution from S.japonica,A.officinarum and O.japonicus had best inhibition effect on malic mildew and that from C.gigas and A.officinarum had strongest antibacterial ability.

Abstract:Antifungal and preservation effects of the extracts or compounds from 28 plant species on apple and tomato fruit were examined.The results showed that the essential oil from star anise exhibited significant preservation effect on Fuji apple,the optimum concentration was 125 μL·L-1.For Jinpeng tomato fruit,compared with 0.25 μL·L-11-MCP treatment(control),significant antifungal and preservative effects were achieved by cinnamaldehyde,essential oil from star anise,geraniol,ethanol extracts from mentha haplocalyx,salvia miltiorrhiza,with optimal concentrations of 125 μL·L-1,125 μL·L-1,125 μL·L-1,1 mg·mL-1 and 2.5 mg·mL-1,respectively.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To observe the stability of oleanolic acid dropping pills.METHODS Accelerated tests at high temperature,high humidity and under strong light and long-term testing at indoor temperature were carried out.RESULTS The moisture absorption of oleanilic acid dropping pills was serious,the stability of oleanolic acid dropping pills was very good under packaging,shady and dry conditions.CONCLUSIONS The expiry date of oleanolic acid dropping pills is set at 1 year temporarily.

Abstract:Abstract A valid, novel, and comprehensive evaluation method for assessing the quality of Magnolia officinalis leaves (MOLs) from different origins has been established based on multiwavelength fusion fingerprint, quantitative analysis, and antioxidant activity screening. The four wavelength fingerprints for MOL samples at 258, 266, 290, and 327 nm were collected by high performance liquid chromatography, and then data fusion was conducted. In addition, the content of multiple components was determined by high performance liquid chromatography at four wavelengths. 1,1-Diphenyl-2-pyridyl hydrazine scavenging assay was applied to study in vitro antioxidant activity. The effective distinction of 18 batches of MOLs was realized based on hierarchical cluster analysis, principal component analysis, and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis combined with multiwavelength fusion fingerprint. The orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis model exhibited huge advantages in distinguishing among different samples and screening three quality markers of the tested samples, including rutin, isoquercitrin, and chlorogenic acid. This established method of multitechnology fusion is simple, reliable, and efficient for the qualitative and quantitative bioactivity evaluation of MOLs. This study aims to investigate the development of new medicinal parts of traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs), so as to enhance the efficiency of utilizing TCM resources and promote the high-quality development of the TCM industry.
Inhibition of citral degradation by oil-in-water nanoemulsions combined with antioxidants

Abstract:The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of oil-in-water (O/W) nanoemulsions combined with six different natural antioxidants on the stability of citral. Acidic emulsions (lecithin-stabilized palm kernel lipid in pH 3 buffer) containing 1000 ppm citral and 1000 ppm antioxidants (black tea extract, ascorbic acid, naringenin, tangeretin, β-carotene, and tanshinone) were stored at 25 and 50 °C, respectively. The emulsions with and without antioxidants were analyzed by solid phase microextraction gas chromatography (SPME-GC) to monitor the degradation process of citral and the formation of different off-flavor compounds, such as α,p-dimethylstyrene and p-methylacetophenone. The results suggested that encapsulation of citral in emulsions and the addition of the appropriate antioxidants (β-carotene, tanshinone, and black tea extract) could greatly enhance citral's chemical stability during storage.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To select stublizers based on the variation of the content in the chlorogenic acid solution. METHODS Samples were subjected to the classical isothermal accelerated stability test with different conditions investigated. RESULTS Self-life of chlorogenic acid solution,taben NaHCO_3 and EDTA 2Na as stabilizers,pH adjusted to 2-4,was about 97 days at 25℃ and 613 days at 4℃.And that without stabilizers is about 29 days at 25 ℃ and 160 days at 4℃.CONCLUSION For preparing liquid preparation including chlorogenic acid, these methods for stability can be considered.
