Abstract:Spatial load forecasting (SLF) is of special importance inplanning of urban power network.In this paper,SLF for Dahao District,Shantou City is made,using fuzzy evaluation and transportation model to achieve optimal land allocation.The forecast results can satisfy the practical demands.

Abstract:The character and difficulty of distribution power network planning is how to deal with its uncertainty, which was studied separately in different stages such as in load flow. Fuzzy theory is applied to whole process of distribution power network planning with taking several uncertain factors into consideration, such as load pattern, investment and price level. A methodology for fuzzy load prediction, fuzzy power flow calculation and fuzzy optimization is presented. Based on describing both load and power flow with L-R type of fuzzy variables, a brief and practical method is developed, i.e. the left boundary, right boundary and medium value of load prediction are used to calculate the corresponding values of power flow. This method is not feasible in transmission network planning, however, adaptable in distribution power network planning. Examples show that robust planning schemes can result from the fuzzy planning.

Abstract:ABSTRACT:Spatial load forecasting is precondition and foundation for distribution network planning. Existing researches focus on theoretical innovation and accuracy improvement of forecasting method, neglecting load distribution research. Based on clustering analysis and non-parametric kernel density estimation, a method of spatial load distribution is proposed. Taking Zhejiang power grid as example, spatial load research samples are classified according to a two-level partition of urban development types and land use types. Then typical load density distribution characteristics are extracted in all kinds of samples using the proposed method. Finally, industrial, commercial, residential and other spatial load distribution patterns are analyzed, providing reliable support for distribution network planning.

Abstract:Load forecasting is necessary for economic generation of power, economic allocation between plants (unit commitment scheduling), maintenance scheduling, and for system security such as peak load shaving by power interchange with interconnected utilities. A novel hybrid load forecasting algorithm, which combines the fuzzy support vector regression method and the linear extrapolation based on similar days method with the analysis of temperature sensitivities is presented in this paper. The fuzzy support vector regression method is used to consider the lower load-demands in weekends and Monday than on other weekdays. The normal load in weekdays is forecasted by the linear extrapolation based on similar days method. Moreover, the temperature sensitivities are used to improve the accuracy of the load forecasting in relation to the daily load and temperature. The result demonstrated the accuracy of the proposed load forecasting scheme.

Abstract:In view of the load density method based on intelligent algorithm heavily dependent on the sample and hardly applicable,a spatial load clustering and integrated forecasting method of distribution network considering regional difference is proposed.Firstly,power users and regional information on different cities and different types are obtained through massive investigation.Secondly,according to an analysis of the inadequacy of the current load classification mode,a method based on typical daily load curves is put forward to check the sample load classification label and select the proper samples.Thirdly,a full sample space is constructed by the selected samples,which is further classified into a hierarchical sub-sample space according to a two level partition of regional property and checked classification label.Finally,a support vector machine (SVM) is built with the most similar sub sample space to the plot to be predicted,thus the spatial load distribution is obtained.An actual case shows the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method,which meets the accuracy requirements.

Abstract:It is well known that electric load is closely related to weather especially in summer and winter. Taking the load forecasting in a provincial power grid as example, the weather data used in traditional load forecasting are globally and whole date, such as maximum and minimum temperature in the province. The weather forecasting has been developed to be able to predict hourly in area of a province. This paper uses the hourly area weather data for load foresting. The issues discussed include: dividing areas, weather data synthesis, load forecasting strategies and so on. Finally, the practical application results in Henan Power Grid are given to validate the methods.

Abstract:With the promotion of the new urbanization and beautiful countryside macro policy in China, the process of the urban￣rural integration accelerates, which drives the fast increase in the demand of the rural power network. In the background of the new urbanization and beautiful countryside, the analysis of the demand of the rural power network has the important practical significance to the establishment and improvement of the development model and construction standard of rural power network. Combining the power demand characteristics of rural power network in the background of the new urbanization and beautiful countryside, the power demand evaluation indexes for town are established and the analogy forecasting method is proposed based on full sample space, which could extend the load forecasting from a single dimension to hyperspace. It is applicable to the big data environment where the power data intersected the economic and social development in the process of urbanization. On this basis, this paper synthesizes the three classic forecasting methods, including the regression analysis method, the grey model and the per capita consumption method, and proposes a combination forecasting method based on the goodness of fit empowerment, which could realize the automatic optimization adjustment of weight. The numerical example results show that the combination forecasting method can improve the accuracy and reliability of the forecasting results.

Abstract:It is closely related between distribution networkplanning and the nature of the urban land-use property.Subarea load is calculated based on the property of the urban land,and combined with load forecasting,whichcan be used as a basis for load density forecasting of spatial load forecasting.It has practical value for improving the accuracy of load forecasting in distribution network planning.The least squares method and the similarity search method are used to study the situations of sufficient and insufficient sample datum in the actual planning,so that the load density prediction can follow the rules and be the prerequisite for the prediction of spatial load.

Abstract:Electric distribution system planning is to provide an economic expansion plan to meet the future demands in its territory. A forecast of the future electric demand and its geographic distribution is a prerequisite for distribution planning. The quality and accuracy of this forecast have a large influence on the quality of the electrical distribution system planning. Spatial load forecasting emerges to provide a more accurate prediction of both the magnitudes and locations of future electric loads. Since the load growth pattern is dominated by its land-use (residential, commercial, or industrial), the land usage study of small area is important to capture the future loads accurately. There are many factors which will affect the customer land-use decision, for example, distance to highway, distance to urban pole, and the costs. The customer's preferences can be estimated based on these objective factors. Then the land utilization and the electricity consumption can be estimated. Since the objectives sometimes are conflicting with each other, it can be cumbersome to use conventional cost function approach to determine the land usage decision. This paper applies a fuzzy multi-objective decision making scheme to the urban redevelopment and spatial load forecasting, which is more naturally and straight forwardly used to handle the spatial load forecasting problem. An example is used to illustrate the proposed methodology.

Abstract:Abstract The 3D real-view platform technology builds a power load forecasting platform in urban distribution network planning. The completion of this system can provide integrated support for power load forecasting in power distribution line planning, and further provide a three-dimensional foundation platform for power load forecasting analysis and calculation software in power distribution planning. Urban distribution network planning is an important task for power supply companies. The quality of its construction directly affects the development of urban economy and the improvement of people’s quality of life. This paper combines the years of work experience to introduce the importance of power distribution network planning, which optimizes the structure of the power distribution network, which can ensure the safe operation of the power grid, reduce power loss, improve power supply reliability, and accurately predict power loads. Abstract:As one important part of urban planning, distribution network planning is necessary to be comprehensively assessed to improve decision-making level and investment benefit. Some factors, such as anti-disaster ability and regional feature, have not been considered in existing researches. Considering these two factors, a novel comprehensive assessment method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, combining existing researches, anti-disaster ability is introduced in the index system which includes security, reliability, economy, flexibility, cooperativeness and anti-disaster ability; Secondly, based on analytic hierarchy process, the impacts of regional economy, disaster distribution and geography on the weights of each index are analyzed, proposing a comprehensive assessment method considering regional feathers; Finally, a twelfth five-year planning scheme in a city is taken as a case to analyze the practicability and effectiveness.

Abstract:With the rapid urbanization, electrical infrastructure spreads to raw areas without existing loads. How to achieve accurate long-term load forecasts based on land use plans is a realistic problem. On the other hand, load forecasting (LF) should be extended to high spatial resolutions to guide middle-or low-voltage planning and time domain to consider the impacts of distribution generations and diversified users on multi-period system demands. A data-driven bottom-up spatial and temporal LF approach is proposed in this paper to solve these challenges. Land plots are treated as basic LF resolution to describe available multi-attribute data in smart grids andmodern cities. Kernel density estimation and adaptive k-means are adopted to aggregate typical load densities and profiles of different land use types. Stacked auto-encoders are utilized to forecast the unknown plot load quantities. The neighbor plot loads are summed up to obtain the estimated loads of larger areas based on clustered load profiles. Case studies demonstrate that the proposed LF is more applicable than benchmark methods both in accuracy and application potential. The estimated hierarchical spatial and temporal results are of great significance to guide load balancing, power system planning, and user integration in different voltage levels.

Abstract:Spatio-temporal load forecasting (STLF) is a foundation for building the prediction-based power map, which could be a useful tool for the visualization and tendency assessment of urban energy application. Constructing one point-forecasting model for each electricity cell in the geographic space is possible; however, it is unadvisable and insufficient, considering the aggregation features of electricity cells and uncertainties in input variables. This paper presents a new STLF method, with a data-driven framework consisting of 3 subroutines: multi-level clustering of cells considering their aggregation features, load regression for each category of cells based on SLS-SVRNs (sparse least squares support vector regression networks), and interval forecasting of spatio-temporal load with sampled blind number. Take some area in Pudong, Shanghai as the region of study. Results of multi-level clustering show that electricity cells in the same category are clustered in geographic space to some extent, which reveals the spatial aggregation feature of cells. For cellular load regression, a comparison has been made with 3 other forecasting methods, indicating the higher accuracy of the proposed method in point-forecasting of spatio-temporal load. Furthermore, results of interval load forecasting demonstrate that the proposed prediction-interval construction method can effectively convey the uncertainties in input variables.

Abstract:Aimed at unattended load forecasting,in auto-operating short-term load forecasting system for Shenzhen power network the automatic closed loop operating modes of information acquisition,load forecasting and reporting the schedules to higher authorities have been implemented.The authors integrate both intelligent self-diagnosis module and self-management module with original system,implement the functions of auto-diagnosis of error in forecasting process and auto-management of operation results,and improve the unattended mode to meet the requirement of “reducing the personnel and improving benefit” in electric power industry reformation.In addition,the contents on concepts and methods of forecasting algorithm organization and reasonable prediction precision analysis are presented,and the practical operation situation of the system is summarized.

Abstract:Abstract Traffic flow forecast is the basic content of urban traffic planning, its planning will play an important role in the development of small towns. Therefore, this paper takes Nanliang town as an example, analyzes the topography of Nanliang Town, and then makes planning on the functional zoning and spatial structure, the layout of various types of land and road network, On this basis, the “four stage” demand forecasting method is used to study the development of Nanliang town’s traffic demand. The original unit method and ulchis gravity model are used to predict the trip generation, the trip attraction and the distribution of traffic volume. The Dijkstra algorithm is used to calculate the shortest path. After that, the all-or-nothing assignment method and the improved multi-path Logit method were respectively adopted to allocate the space OD amount of various travel modes to the specific road network, and the traffic flow distribution results under the two allocation methods are obtained respectively. According to the distribution result chart, it can show that the improved multi-path Logit method is closer to the reality, it can provide theoretical support for the study of urban traffic demand.
A novel distributed short-term load forecasting method for large power grid

Abstract:Power load is quite sensitive to the meteorological factors in most of power grid. In Large Power Grid (LPG) which covers vast area, weather conditions could vary greatly from one district to the others, such as provinces in China and states in USA. It's necessary and difficult to take meteorological factors into account in short-term load forecasting for LPG. In this paper, a novel method of short-term load forecasting is proposed for LPGs, named Subnet-summation-method (SSM). The LPG is divided into some subnets. The load of each subnet is predicted taking its weather conditions and historical data into consideration. There is difference between the load of LPG and the summation of load of LPG's subnets. The difference is caused by different statistic-scope. Statistic-scope coefficient (SSC) is defined. SSC can be predicted through analyzing the recent days. Then, the summation of the predicted load of each subnet is calculated. Finally, the summation is revised according to SSC. After revising, the predicted load of LPG is gotten. Some improvements of SSM are also proposed in this paper. According to practical application in some provinces of China, it's proved that the new method is a simple method with high and stable accuracy.
Saturated Load Forecasting Model under Complex Urbanization Characteristics

Abstract:With advance and intensification of urbanization, power load in some big cities begins to present a feature of saturation. In this paper, a saturated load forecasting model under complicated urbanization characteristics is proposed. In this model, main urbanization factors influencing power load, i.e. population, economy and area, are analyzed. With regard to complicated data environment caused by diversified urbanization characteristics, principle component analysis and wavelet transform are used to get urbanization characteristics with low dimension and high independence principle components and their corresponding fundamental frequency components. Finally, saturation capacity and its corresponding time are given by constructing correlation models between principle components of urbanization characteristics and power load. Case study of Shanghai shows saturation point and growing point of power load in future and reveals mechanism of urbanization characteristics influencing saturated power load.
