Abstract:In this paper,we study the oscillations and asymptotic property for nonlinear second order neutral differential equations: [a(t)b(x(t))h((x(t)+px(t-τ))′)]′+q(t)f[x(t-σ)]=0. Our conclusions generalize some known results.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of neutral stochastic differential systems with variable delays and give sufficient conditions to ensure that the zero solution is asymptotically stable in the mean square by means of a generalisation of Banach's contraction principle. These conditions do not require the boundedness of delays, nor do they ask for a fixed sign on the coefficient functions. The results are shown to improve the previous globally stable results derived in the literature.

Abstract:In this work, a new sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of the neutral differential equation of the form ddt[x(t)+px(t−τ)]=−ax(t)+btanhx(t−σ) is established. The condition expressed in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI) and dependent on both the delays τ and σ is less restricted than that given by J.H. Park [Delay-dependent criterion for asymptotic stability of a class of neutral equations, Applied Mathematics Letters 17 (2004) 1203–1206].

Abstract:This paper delves into the asymptotic and oscillatory behavior of all classes of solutions of fourth-order nonlinear neutral delay differential equations in the noncanonical form with damping terms. This research aims to improve the relationships between the solutions of these equations and their corresponding functions and derivatives. By refining these relationships, we unveil new insights into the asymptotic properties governing these solutions. These insights lead to the establishment of improved conditions that ensure the nonexistence of any positive solutions to the studied equation, thus obtaining improved oscillation criteria. In light of the broader context, our findings extend and build upon the existing literature in the field of neutral differential equations. To emphasize the importance of the results and their applicability, this paper concludes with some examples.

Abstract:Abstract The oscillation theory of differential equations is an important branch of performance of differential equations, which is widely used in engineering control, vibration mechanics, mechanics, and industry. Therefore, the vibration performance of different parts has attracted people’s attention, and a lot of research work has been done. For a special class of delay differential equations - advanced piecewise continuous differential equations, the oscillation of numerical solution is discussed. The θ − method is used to discretize the equation, and the numerical method is obtained to keep the oscillation of the analytical solution of the equation, progressive conditions. At the same time, four different states of the dynamic behavior are discussed in detail for the analytical solution and the numerical solution respectively. Some numerical examples further verify the corresponding conclusions.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, under some ordered conditions, we investigate the existence of positive ω -periodic solutions for a class of second-order neutral functional differential equations with delayed derivative in nonlinearity of the form ( x ( t ) − cx ( t − δ ))′′ + a ( t ) g ( x ( t )) x ( t ) = λb ( t ) f ( t , x ( t ), x ( t − τ 1 ( t )), x ′( t − τ 2 ( t ))). By utilizing the perturbation method of a positive operator and the fixed point index theory in cones, some sufficient conditions are established for the existence as well as the non-existence of positive ω -periodic solutions.

Abstract:In this article, we study the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions, and stability of the zero solution to the nonlinear neutral system $$ \frac{d}{dt}x(t)=A(t)h\big(x(t-\tau_1(t))\big)+\frac{d}{dt}Q\big(t,x(t-\tau_2(t))\big) +G\big(t,x(t),x(t-\tau_2(t))\big). $$ We use integrating factors to transform the neutral differential equation into an equivalent integral equation. Then we construct appropriate mappings and employ Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem to show the existence of a periodic solution. We also use the contraction mapping principle to show the existence of a unique periodic solution and the asymptotic stability of the zero solution. Our results generalize the corresponding results in the existing literature. Abstract:The oscillation and asymptotic behavior of solutions of a general class of damped second-order differential equations with several sub-linear neutral terms is considered. New sufficient conditions are established to fulfill a part of the gap in the oscillation theory for the case of sub-linear neutral equations. Our main results improve and generalize some of those recently published in the literature. Several examples are given to support our results.

Abstract:In this paper, by using the Riccati transformation and integral inequality technique, we establish several oscillation criteria for second-order Emden–Fowler neutral delay differential equations under the canonical case and non-canonical case, respectively. Compared with some recent results reported in the literature, we extend the range of the neutral coefficient. Therefore, our results generalize to some of the results presented in the literature. Furthermore, several examples are provided to illustrate our conclusions.

Abstract:In the sense of an arbitrary time scale, some new sufficient conditions on oscillation are presented in this paper for a class of nonlinear third-order delay dynamic equations involving a local fractional derivative with a super-linear neutral term. The established oscillation results include known Kamenev and Philos-type oscillation criteria and are new oscillation results so far in the literature. Some inequalities, the Riccati transformation, the integral technique, and the theory of time scale are used in the establishment of these oscillation criteria. The proposed results unify continuous and discrete analysis, and the process of deduction is further extended to another class of nonlinear third-order delay dynamic equations involving a local fractional derivative with a super-linear neutral term and a damping term. As applications for the established oscillation criteria, some examples are given.

Abstract:This work aims to derive new inequalities that improve the asymptotic and oscillatory properties of solutions to fourth-order neutral differential equations. The relationships between the solution and its corresponding function play an important role in the oscillation theory of neutral differential equations. Therefore, we improve these relationships based on the modified monotonic properties of positive solutions. Additionally, we set new conditions that confirm the absence of positive solutions and thus confirm the oscillation of all solutions of the considered equation. We finally explain the importance of the new inequalities by applying our results to some special cases of the studied equation, as well as comparing them with previous results in the literature.

Abstract:The convergence problem of the family of the deformed Euler–Halley iterations with parameters for solving nonlinear operator equations in Banach spaces is studied. Under the assumption that the second derivative of the operator satisfies the Hölder condition, a convergence criterion of the order 2+p of the iteration family is established. An application to a nonlinear Hammerstein integral equation of the second kind is provided.

Abstract:This work is devoted to the development of methods for constructing asymptotic formulas as x→∞ of a fundamental system of solutions of linear differential equations generated by a symmetric two-term differential expression of odd order. The coefficients of the differential expression belong to classes of functions that allow oscillation (for example, those that do not satisfy the classical Titchmarsh–Levitan regularity conditions). As a model equation, the fifth-order equation i2p(x)y′′′′′+p(x)y′′′′′+q(x)y=λy, along with various behaviors of coefficients p(x),q(x), is investigated. New asymptotic formulas are obtained for the case when the function h(x)=−1+p−1/2(x)∉L1[1,∞) significantly influences the asymptotics of solutions to the equation. The case when the equation contains a nontrivial bifurcation parameter is studied.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we describe a method to solve the problem of finding periodic solutions for second-order neutral delay-differential equations with piecewise constant arguments of the form x ′′( t ) + px ′′( t − 1) = qx ([ t ]) + f ( t ), where [⋅] denotes the greatest integer function, p and q are nonzero real or complex constants, and f ( t ) is complex valued periodic function. The method reduces the problem to a system of algebraic equations. We give explicit formula for the solutions of the equation. We also give counter examples to some previous findings concerning uniqueness of solution.
