Abstract:In our study,a comparative test of 11 new,fresh-eating and glutinous corn varieties was carried out with"Suyunuo No.5 "as control.The results showed that the yield of "Heinuo270","Xiameinuo No.1","Tianxiangcaiyu "and"Gengyunbainuo"were significantly higher than control variety.These varieties had good characters and could be further extended at reasonable scale.

Abstract:The physic-chemical index and nutrition composition of three sweet corn hybrids(Chaotian No.3,Tetian No.1and H5008)planted in Zhejiang province were analyzed and compared with that of the universally planted hybrid maize Yedan13and some related items of rice.The results showed that the content of sucrose,fat,fiber,Vc,β - carotene,hydrolyzed amino acids and minerals of all the sweet corn hybrids were much higher than that of Yedan13.The essential amino acids of sweet corn were very rich,and the content of lysine and threonine of sweet corn which were the limited amino acids for maize is about two times of that of Yedan13and rice.Therefore,the nutrition of sweet corn is very rich.

Abstract:The results from studying the forage quality of 6 green forage maize varieties and their adaptability in four regions of Guizhou province showed that Yucao 2 with high yield,good forage quality,good stability and wide adaptability should be popularized in Guizhou,and Qiandan 16 with high yield and good forage quality could be popularized in Guiyang and Xingyi region of Guizhou province.

Abstract:New jute variety, “Zhonghuangma No.1( former name C90-2)”, was bred from progeny of 71-8×79-51 backcrossed with 79-51, by systematical selection and recurrent selection method for six generations selection in 1990. In the variety yield comparison test in 1993-1994, it's average yield was 2814.00kg/hm2, which was 14.32%more than that of the CK Yueyuan No.5. The average yield of C90-2 was 2808.00kg/hm2, 13.59%higher than that of CK Yueyuan No.5 (2472.15kg/hm2) in the national jute regional trial at 5 locations for 2 years (2002-2003), and the difference was to significant level. Its average strength was 401N, fineness 439.0m/g, better than that of the CK. The main Characteri stics of the variety were larger plant, thicker stem, higher resistance to anthracnose disease, high yield stability and wide adaptability, which is one of the most promising varieties at present and can completely substitute imported “Bangladeshi fiber and provide material for civil luxurious jute product.

Abstract:The present experiment has been conducted to screen some new corn varieties with high yield and resistance suitable for planting in Xincheng county of Guangxi.A comparative test of corn varieties was undertaken in Panshui village,Chengguan town,Xincheng county in 2009.The varieties Zhengda 999,Ruiheng 269,Dika 008,Taipingyang 98 and Nanxiao 201 showed strong growth vigor,high yield and strong resistance to disease,insect and abiotic.These varieties were found suitable for planting widely in Xincheng county.Varieties Ruiheng 666 and Yumeitou 168 performed normally in the field,the increase in yield was not significant as compared to control variety Dika 007.The two varieties affected severely by rice sheath blight disease,and need to be investigated further.Variety Dongdan 80 showed low yield and lesser resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses,and variety Lucheng 133 was characterized by short ear length and low yield,both of these varieties were not suitable for planting in Xincheng county.

Abstract:The investigation of rice varieties stability for amylose content (AC), gelatinization temperature (GT) and protein content (PC) was carried out using additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model in three locations and two years. Eighteen tested varieties were further clustered and evaluated based on the phenotypic values of three quality traits and their Di values from the AMMI analysis. The results showed that the genotype by environment interactions, the differences of phenotype and stability of AC, GT and PC among different genotypes and environments were all significant at 1% level. Also, only one variety, W002, had high stability for all the three quality traits. Additionally, in consideration with the phenotype of AC, GT and PC, and their stability in rice varieties, etc., four rice varieties, W002, Zaofeng 9,Guangling Xiangjing and Nanjing16, could be also applied as breeding parents to improve eating quality and stability of rice.

Abstract:Taking Qi 319,9801,Chang 7-2,Zheng 58 and Ph 6 wc,five maize inbred lines of different grading of grain seed as the test material,by seed length,width,thickness and weight determination,seedling growth test,field seedling growth test,as well as plant growth and maturation index observation,had researched the influence on different grading grain of maize seed vigor and plant growth.The results showed that: among five maize inbred lines four to five grading grain type(big flat,big round,small flat,small round and no grading),the seed vigor of big flat was the highest.The majority of inbred line classification particle type on middle heading time period,plant height,ear height,blossom,blossom beginning period of flourishing period,spin,spin the flourishing period,early maturation time and grain number per spike showed no significant influence,but they has significant influence on the seed weight at harvest time.

Abstract:Crop variety regional trial is the basis of variety registration.The precision of regional trial directly influences the merits of approved varieties.According to new national certification standards,new rice varieties should yield more than 3% compared with the control,requiring much higher precision of the experiments.Since 1999,the national rice regional trials in northern China have been implemented for 10 years.It is extremely important for the variety approval committee to known that whether or not the experiments precision can reach the national registration requirements.Based on the data from rice variety regional trials in northern China from 1999 to 2008,we analyzed the experiment error precision(EP) and variety comparison precision(VCP) at two experiment levels.The results was as follows:(1) The average coefficient of variation(CV) and relative LSD(RLSD) in one-location-one-year experiments were 4.3% and 7.4% respectively,indicating the trials were well controlled.Both EP and VCP in one-location-one-year experiments were desirable.(2) The average CV and RLSD in most of multi-location-one-year experiments were lower than 5% and 3% respectively.The EP and VCP in multi-location-one-year experiments were desirable and met the requirements of the State Variety Approval.(3) Under the existing design of experiments,reducing experimental errors in the trials is the main way to improve the accuracy of one-location-one-year experiment.In addition to reducing experimental errors in the trials,the appropriate increase in the number of experiment sites is also a very effective choice to improve the accuracy of multi-location-one-year experiments.

Abstract:Biological organic fertilizer in glutinous corn were used as comparativ e tria l of randomized blocks in order to study its effects on the yield and quality of glutinous corn and soil chemical properties.I ts result indicated the followin g fa cts.Firstly,biological organic fertilizer kept glutinous c orn growing we ll and photosynthetic efficiency high.At stem elongation stage,the fertilizer efficiency of biological organic fertilizer caused significant grain filling rat e better than other treatment.Second ly,the yields of glutinous corns receivin g the big tri-element fertilizer were increased by 6.0%～6.9%in contra st with two chemical fertiliz er treatments,is 12688.97Kg ·hm-2 .Thirdly,the biological organic fe rtilizer can effectively improve th e q uality of glutinous corn than the c hemical treatment,crude pertain content of glutinous corn in the big twi-elemen t fertilizer and the big tri-element f ertilizer treatment is 11%,10.8%respectively.Finally,applying the bio logical organic fertil izer to glutinous corn can effectively decrease the nitra te and salt content in soil.

Abstract:By analyzing the sedimentation value of 38 varieties of 10 different trial areas in the south of Huanghuai area wheat regional trial, it was demonstrated that the high-Gluten varieties are Shaannong981, Gaomai8901, Zhengmai3666, Xinong979, Xin9408, Yumai34, PH6911, Zhengmai005; near low-Gluten varieties are Zhengmai004, Lunxuan987, Zaokangl and the other are mid-Gluten varieties. Variety plays a decisive role in the production of good-quality wheat. While different ecological conditions also effect wheat quality greatly. The best trial area of quality appearance is Fuping of Shaanxi Province which is followed by Xinxiang of Henan Province, Guoyang of Anhui Province,Xuzhou of Jiangsu Province, Yangling of Shaanxi Province, and the worst one is Zhoukou of Henan Province. The research supplies scientific accordance for wheat variety evaluation, popularization, utilization and good regional division.

Abstract:In 2012 the middle and late ripe group of conventional early rice varieties' regional trial in Guangdong province,11 new varieties were reviewed from a comprehensive evaluation of the yield,quality,disease resistance and agron-omic traits,etc.According to the test results,4 kinds of Varieties such as Gufengzhan,Huahang33,Chantezhan and Jin-glisimiao,were outstanding on overall performance,proposed to arrange the reexamination and production test in 2013;Five varieties such as Yuebiao No.1,Huangsiruanzhan,Sanyixiangzhan,Shanqingzhan and Zhongguangsimiao,whose hi-gh yielding was poor or bad,the quality did not meet the quality grade,recommended termination tests;Zhonghangsimi-ao due to its high susceptibility to rice blast,was not recommend the Guangdong Province cropping and recommended termination test;Combined with the regional trial results in 2011 Huangguangyouzhan was identified outstanding on ov-erall performance,recommended variety approval.

Abstract:The effects of variety and processing method on feeding values of corn(Zea mays L.) were studied.The corn varieties of Zhongyuandan32,Nongda86,Nongda95,Nongda108,and NongdaGaoyou115 were harvested at dough stage and then processed for 45 d as whole-crop silage,stover only silage,or stover stack,respectively.The analytic results of samples indicate that the pH of the whole-crop corn silage was significantly lower than that of stover silage(P0.05),and the lactic acid content was significantly higher(except for Nongda 86)(P0.05).The CP content of the whole-crop corn silage was significantly higher than that of stover silage(P0.05),and the NDF and ADF contents were lower.This inferred that the fermentative quality and nutrient contents of whole-crop corn silage were better than those of stover silage.The CP content of stover stack varied among varieties,and the NDF and ADF contents of stover stack were higher than those of silages.This inferred the lower nutrient quality of stover stack.The CP content of whole-crop corn silage of Zhongyuandan32 were significantly higher than that of others(P0.05),and the fiber content of which was moderate.In general,the whole-crop corn silage had better feeding values and the Zhongyuandan32 performed better than others.
Study on Drought Resistance and Harvest Index of Different Genetype Corn Varieties under Different Moisture Gradient

Abstract:The study focused on yield,drought resistance and harvest index of 17 genetype corn under four moisture content gradient.The results showed that:The yield variance was significant under different moisture content gradient(P0.05);In rainy condition(water cost:325.6mm),the mean yields of Nongda 108,Zhongyu 9 and Dongdan 60 were higher than the other 14 genetypes,reached 980.2 kg/hm2,the rate of growth was 27.5%;The mean yields of Xianyu 335 and Zhengdan 958 were higher than the other 15 genetypes,reached 17.31%、22.17% and 18.25% respectively in 363.6 mm,421.6 mm,469.1 mm water cost.The variance of drought resistance of different genetypes was significant,there was close relationship between drought resistance under different moisture content gradient and yield under rainy condition.Although drought resistance of Xianyu 335 was moderate,but because of good adaptability and yield ability,it′s applied widely.When the drought resistance index reached to moderate,corn showed not only drought resistance but also yield ability,the index under extreme moisture gradient was not significant.The harvest index of Xianyu 335 was about 60%,so it was the highest among 17 genetypes,this showed it has strong ability of light contract iodide transformation.

Abstract:Taking eight fresh broad beans Cixi Dabaican,Sucan No.2,Japanese Dabaipi,Lingxi Yicun,Haimen Daqingpi,Shangyu Tianjiqing,American Horsebean,Tongxian No.6,and an independent developed new line long pod broad bean,as experimental materials to study the growing period,agronomic character and fresh yield under the cultivation condition of greenhouse.The results indicated that the long pod broad bean performed the best in terms of pod and grain yield,followed by Japanese Dabaipi,while the comprehensive character of Shangyu Tianjiqing was the worst.

Abstract:The general aspects such as yield,quality and the resistance of hybrid rice in Guangxi have been studied using these hybrid rice combinations which have been certified and registered by Guangxi Committee for Crop Variety Registration from 2000 to 2005.It was pointed out that the yield,resistance and quality of hybrid rice could not fully meet with the real needs.It was put forward that elite germplasm of wild rice was essential for making breakthrough in hybrid rice breeding,and hybrid rice selective breeding should be strengthened.In order to enrich the diversity of hybrid rice type and further improve the yield,quality and resistance,super hybrid rice combinations should be selectively bred according to the ecological conditions in Guangxi by fully exploring the wild rice germplasm resources in Guangxi.

Abstract:A comparison experiment of several commercial varieties for summer-autumn rearing in Zhejiang Province was carried out in the present paper. The results showed that the combination 871×872 was relatively high in cocoon and silk quantity and quality characters but lower in fluoride tolerance, therefore, it was considered to be more suitable for distributing in the areas with light fluoride pollution. The combination Xia7×Xia6 was stronger in constitution, good in economic characters and relatively higher in fluorine tolerance. It might be the best one in comprehensive characters for summer-autumn rearing in the countryside of Zhejiang Province.

Abstract:The field experiments of different density of waxy corn variety ZhenghuangnuoNo.2 were done at Zhengzhou in 2008.Comparison analyses were carried out by different density during the growing time,the traits of plant and ear,yield,quality.The results showed that the density had a significance effect on yield and quality.The yield was increased with densities increasing when the density is less than 90 000 plants.Protein content was increased,oil content was fall down with densities increasing,starch content not obvious.The results gave some scientific basis for the popularizing of this variety in a larger scale.

Abstract:The comparison trial on 8 flue-cured tobacco varieties(seven new varieties: HY-1-X,0508,CZ-43,HZ07-5-1,03-15-5,03-4-3 and MS101* GK8;one control variety: K326) was conducted in Longhui,Hunan province in 2012.The results showed that the comprehensive characters of CZ-43 was best,and its yield,output value,average price,the proportion of superior tobacco leaves,and the proportion of superior and medium tobacco leaves were higher than those of the control variety K326.So CZ-43 was suitable for popularization and application in Shaoyangregion.

Abstract:Sixty rice varieties and germplasm resources introduced from IRRI and fifty from China were researched and evaluated to rice bacterial blight,blast disease and main agronomic traits in 2006～2007 in Guangxi.The result showed that there were twenty-three varieties with high to moderately resistant to bacterial than the others.Accounting for 20.91% of the total evaluated varieties;and eighteen varieties with resistant to blast,accounting for 16.36% of the total evaluated varieties.At the last,seven varieties were selected with resistant to bacterial blight and blast disease,and their main agronomic traits had a great discrepant.It was indicated that there were diversified hereditary for these resources.So,it is very high value in using them to breeding new varieties(combinations) with high yield and disease resistant.
