Abstract:Objective To explore how to establish a modern hospital management model featuring the corporate governance structure in public hospitals after absorbing public welfare capital. Methods Based on relevant literature, a survey and analysis were made of the operation in the past 10 years or so of the People's Hospital of Dongyang, which established the corporate governance structure after absorbing public welfare capital. Results Absorbing public welfare capital, developing public hospitals with multiple investment providers, and establishing the modern corporate governance structure contribute to the separation of regulating and running, the establishment of a multiple capital structure, the establishment of a multiple structure of supervision, and the professionalization of operation and management on the part of the president. Conclusion Absorbing public welfare capital is the first choice in medical ownership reform and establishing the corporate governance structure fits in with public hospitals' goal of gaining social benefits and achieving sustainable development.
