Abstract:In the case of mineral resources being exploited by many running units, the right of the mineral resources is shared by them all. Since no agreement on allocation of exploitation right is done, they are in a non-cooperative competition situation. This paper first puts forth a multi-stage dynamic decision-making model of mineral resources corresponding to different technology levels of the running units, and then gives the optimal decision-making on exploitation and the ideal allocation of exploitation right by a special case of this model, which can lead to the maximum profit over the exploitation term of the mine resources.

Abstract:In this paper, the author utilizes the game theory to analyze the interest expression, game strategies and the inter-game relation of stakeholders including government, developers, land-contributing units and citizens in the major projects. Then the game model is built to focus on the game relations between the government and landcontributing units as well as citizens, aiming to identify factors that promote the balance. Finally, the game solutions are proposed.

Abstract:The focus of this paper is to develop a theoretical framework for analysis and design of distributed optimization problem in multi-agent systems by using the language of game theory and cooperative control methodology. In the framework, a piecewise-constant and binary-valued matrix in the cooperative control theory is introduced to describe the sensing/communication among agents and to cope with the practical situations where the information sharing may be in a distributed, dynamically changing and local manner. Based on information acquisition/communication model, state based ordinal potential game is designed to capture the optimal solution to distributed optimization problems in multi-agent systems by appropriately specifying local objective function for each individual decision maker. It is worth noting that the proposed analysis and design methodology has the advantages that the resulted equilibriums are capable of solving the distributed optimization problems even if the corresponding communication topologies is local, time-varying and intermittent. Meanwhile, the minimal requirement for the communication among the agents is provided to ensure the global objective is desirable under the new framework.

Abstract:In this paper, the distributed optimization problems of multi-agent systems with directed communication topologies are investigated by using the game theory. In particular, a new general non-cooperative game model, termed state based weakly acyclic game, is provided to solve the problem. Based on this approach, the desired global objective is achieved by designing local objective function for individual agent to make coordination decisions. It is worth noting that all the obtained equilibria are thus solutions to the proposed distributed optimization problems with directed and time-varying communication topologies. Simulations on consensus problem in multi-agent systems are provided to verify the validness of the proposed methodology.

Abstract:Aiming at the difficulty of transforming multi-objective optimization problem to game problem which was about determining the strategy set for each partition of game players,a multi-objective optimization method was proposed by using uniform design experimentation,regression analysis and F test statistic to ob-tain data bases for fuzzy clustering and combining cooperative competition game.Taking reducer design opti-mization as an example,performance of the method was analyzed and verified.Compared with the traditional single-objective optimization method,the experimental results show that the multi-objective method has fast convergence rate and high computational efficiency,and it is unneccessary to determine the weight of each tar-get,which has engineering application values.

Abstract:The relationship between the choice of travel modes and traffic resources configuration is an important problem of transportation theory.Only two types of travel modes,namely,autobus and private car are considered,and a two-level game model has been formulated with the purpose to make reasonable and sufficient use of the limited traffic resources.The upper level of the model aims to maximize the total social profit,which describes the relationship between administrators and travelers;the lower level reflects the game equilibrium of the autobus travelers and the private car travelers.Finally the three-step method is adopted to solve the model.At last the application of the model as well as the algorithm is illustrated by a numerical example.

For the purpose of filling this vacancy,this paper constructs multiple objective risk decision models with principal and subordinate hierarch decision-making by fuzzy stochastic simulation technology,the multi-objective degree of satisfaction computation,principal and subordinate hierarch game decision method,and evolutionary game solution technology with particle swarm algorithm.The result is convincible after a case study.

Abstract:The Z-number is the most general representation of real-life information with reliability, and it also exhibits the highest descriptive power from the perspective of human cognition. This study focuses on the development of a computationally simple and effective Z-number model to address game problems by systematically comparing pairwise strategies derived from different players. The processing of Z-numbers requires computing fuzzy and probabilistic uncertainties; then, the cloud model is suggested to handle bimodal restriction in Z-numbers. In this manner, a novel concept of asymmetric normal Z-value (ANZ) is proposed. Subsequently, the concordance/discordance index and outranking relations of ANZs are suggested based on classic outranking rules. Next, an innovative game model is established by modeling the outranking relations of strategies of different players under multiple criteria. Finally, an illustrative example concerning enterprise market competition is provided to demonstrate the established model.

Abstract:In recent years, equilibrium is the most generally used solution concept in game theory. This idea may be a state-of-the-art interpretation of a method game. Each player has an accurate prediction of other players’ behavior and acts consistent with such a rational prediction. This paper aims to apply the game theory idea of equilibrium as a decision-making tool to develop a simple method for solving a multi-objective decision-making problem with any number of players to achieve an equilibrium point. Game theory and Nash equilibrium have been used to determine the equilibrium point of multi-objective decision-making problems of production planning in non-cooperative environments. A mixed and conditional N-player model was proposed as a development of the Nash model. The method was applied to a second-square planning problem with multiple constrained objectives (with linear constraints) in order to allocate a larger share of the sales market in a situation where all objectives were in conflict with each other. Effective solutions were first obtained using the bl constraint method, and then, an effective equilibrium point was extracted using the proposed method. Since the problem-solving method was discrete, the effective equilibrium point was reduced, and the results were used for making decisions about six products in the competitive market.

Abstract:In the striking phase of modern warfare, commanders’ decision-making is of extremely high complexity, which calls for the development of human-machine hybrid decision-making techniques. In this study, we propose a multi-agent task assignment method based on the situation field and game theory for the human-machine hybrid decision-making system. The problem is firstly modeled as a multi-objective game problem after situation assessment. Then the differential evolution algorithm is utilized to obtain the optimal assigning suggestions for commanders to choose from. Simulations and experiments are conducted to demonstrate the real-time performance and practicability of the proposed method. The winning rates of all the strategy suggestions exceed 55% when the two sides are comparable. Due to the innovative incorporation of the situation field and game theory, the proposed method enables a comprehensive understanding of the environmental situation and the adversarial nature of the striking phase. The method also achieves a sensible optimization of multi-agent task assignment for multiple objectives to combine human and machine intelligence.
Solving Method of Multi-disciplinary Design Optimization Based on Nash Equilibrium

Abstract:A method for solving conflicts in multi-disciplinary design optimization was proposed. Nash game equilibrium theory was applied to model the relations between the design players, and the advantages were discussed respectively. This method allows that each discipline adopts its own design optimization technique, and then integrates within the frame of this method. At last, the validity of this method was proved via an experimental case. The results show that the method does not need systematic coordination, and the information communications among every discipline are convenient.

Abstract:This article constructs a multiobjective super conflict grey target negotiation consensus approach to possibly solve problems of multiobjective group consensus. This approach considers relationships and behaviors of decision-makers (DMs), and the influence and constraint of the objectives by maximizing the satisfaction of DMs and the moderator and by minimizing the coordination cost. It first defines DMs’ initial bull’s-eye and consensus bull’s-eye, develops a multiobjective super conflict grey target negotiation consensus system, and constructs a multiobjective super conflict grey target negotiation consensus approach. Second, by making use of the theory and methods of grey target decision-making, grey relational analysis, super conflict, and group consensus, this article establishes a multiobjective super conflict grey target negotiation consensus approach for two situations: with or without any objective constraint. Third, by considering limited compromises and tolerance behaviors where DMs have compromise limits and cost-free thresholds toward the consensus bull’s-eye, we further optimize the consensus approach by employing parabolic utility functions in compromise intervals to reflect DMs’ risk-appetite attitude and then discussing how to reasonably allocate the consensus budgets based on tolerance intervals. In the end, we use the challenge of the transboundary pollution of the Taihu Lake Basin to confirm the validity and rationality of our proposed model.

Abstract:With the development of society, intelligent games have gradually become a hot research field. This article proposes an algorithm that combines the multiattribute decision-making and reinforcement learning methods to apply to multiagents' decision-making for wargaming artificial intelligence (AI).This algorithm solves the problem of the agent's low rate of winning against specific rules and its inability to quickly converge during intelligent wargame training. At the same time, a multiattribute decision-making method based on the entropy-weight method was proposed to obtain the normalized weighting for each attribute that feeds into a deep reinforcement learning model. A simulation experiment confirms that the real-number multiattribute decision-making-proximal policy optimization (PPO) algorithm of multiattribute decision-making combined with reinforcement learning presented in this article is significantly more intelligent than the pure reinforcement learning algorithm.

Abstract:Abstract The issue of agricultural non-point source pollution has attracted the attention of the state and the masse. In the non-point source pollution control organizations which composed of the governments, farmers and fertiliser sellers, due to the characteristics of rational economic body, the phenomenon of ”market failure” and ”government failure” may occur in the process of non-point source pollution control. In this paper, the author applies game theory to analyse the main behaviour characteristics of the three main bodies, and constructs the incomplete information dynamic game model that the government, farmers and fertiliser sellers participate in. According to the results of the equilibrium solution of the Haysani Axiom model, it is found that the decisions made by the three bodies of the government, the fertiliser seller and the farmer in the behaviour choice stage have a great influence on the behaviour choice of the other two bodies, and the process of each strategy choice by the three bodies is a dynamic game process of the three bodies. Finally, according to the main influencing factors reflected in the equilibrium solution, proposed the related non-point source pollution control countermeasure suggestion to the government main body.

Abstract:Game theory refers to the method in which one of the interacting parties obtains the decision-making information of the other party and uses it to influence the other party in turn. Therefore, game theory is also called "game theory". Game theory can be divided into cooperative game and non-cooperative game. In recent decades, the theory of game theory has developed rapidly with the establishment of John Nash and has been applied to many fields such as medical, engineering, military, and business. In this paper, the author starts from the basic definition of game theory and analyze the prisoner's dilemma, concordance fallacy, median voter theorem, Gounod model, Bertrand model, iterative deletion of dominated strategy, etc. through specific cases. The research results show that game theory has been widely used in the economy. For bilateral games, the results of Nash equilibrium are unstable. The research in this paper broadens the theory of game theory and has important practical significance for the application research of game theory.

Abstract:A classic model to study strategic decision making in multi-agent systems is the normal-form game. This model can be generalised to allow for an infinite number of pure strategies leading to continuous games. Multi-objective normal-form games are another generalisation that model settings where players receive separate payoffs in more than one objective. We bridge the gap between the two models by providing a theoretical guarantee that a game from one setting can always be transformed to a game in the other. We extend the theoretical results to include guaranteed equivalence of Nash equilibria. The mapping makes it possible to apply algorithms from one field to the other. We demonstrate this by introducing a fictitious play algorithm for multi-objective games and subsequently applying it to two well-known continuous games. We believe the equivalence relation will lend itself to new insights by translating the theoretical guarantees from one formalism to another. Moreover, it may lead to new computational approaches for continuous games when a problem is more naturally solved in the succinct format of multi-objective games.

Abstract:Game theory is the study of decision problems in which there are multiple decision makers and the quality of a decision maker's choice depends on both that choice and the choices of others. While game theory has been studied predominantly as a modeling paradigm in the mathematical social sciences, there is a strong connection to control systems in that a controller can be viewed as a decision-making entity. Accordingly, game theory is relevant in settings with multiple interacting controllers. This article presents an introduction to game theory, followed by a sampling of results in three specific control theory topics where game theory has played a significant role: ( a) zero-sum games, in which the two competing players are a controller and an adversarial environment; ( b) team games, in which several controllers pursue a common goal but have access to different information; and ( c) distributed control, in which both a game and online adaptive rules are designed to enable distributed interacting subsystems to achieve a collective objective.

Analysis of a Triopoly Cournot Game with Capacity Constraint and Heterogeneous Players

Abstract:In order to study the influence of parameters on the dynamics of triopoly game, this article constructed a triopoly game model with capacity constraint and three different decision-making rules: bounded rational method, adaptive method and naive method. By employing the iso-elastic price function and the logarithmic cost function, numerical simulations were carried out to analyze the effects of the output adjustment speed and the weight and the capacity constraint on the model's dynamics. The results show that improper values of the output adjustment speed and the weight can induce chaotic variation of the three players' outputs. Moreover, the increasing output adjustment speed can cause higher average profit for the player with bounded rational strategy while the increasing weight can induce higher average profit for the player with adaptive method. Furthermore, when the capacity constraint drops, the three players' average profits will decrease their outputs' amplitude as well. From the view point of maximum profit, naive strategy is optimal among the three strategies.
