Abstract:A gray correlation analysis(GCA) method based on improved analytic hierarchy process(AHP) weight is proposed to evaluate water quality of typical cross-sections(Hangzhou Section) of the Grand Canal comprehensively.It is always focused on evaluation of the main pollution factors,water quality of the four sections and spatial trends of comprehensive water quality in the whole Hangzhou Section.A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on the improved AHP weight is used for validation and comparison.It is shown that the evaluation results of two methods are basically the same;but AHP-GCA is more objective and its calculation progress is more convenient.

Abstract:In the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), Saaty's consistency index is performed to ensure that the preference information, provided in an individual judgement matrix, is neither random nor illogical. Based on the extension of Saaty's consistency index, this paper proposes a consensus index to measure the difference between the individual preference values and the collective preference value in AHP group decision making. Furthermore, based on the consensus index, we propose a consensus prioritisation method to obtain the collective priority vector for AHP group decision making, and develop a non-linear programme model to automatically reach acceptable consensus in a local context (a unique criterion). The consensus model in this paper can optimally preserve original preference information in reaching acceptable consensus (in some sense). A genetic algorithm also is designed to solve this non-linear programme model.

Abstract:As a tool to identify customer needs and translate customer requirements into technical responses, the house of quality (HOQ) has become one of the most useful techniques in total quality management, especially in the context of quality function deployment (QFD). Recently, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been recommended for prioritizing the customer voice in HOQ. In this paper, we recommend that AHP be applied not only to the customer voice, but also directly to the technical responses. Since the decision-maker can select either the prioritization matrix method or the AHP method for HOQ applications, an understanding of their advantages and disadvantages becomes important. In this paper, we compare these two methods in terms of practical applications in industry leading to the general conclusion that if time, cost and difficulty are the major concerns in product improvement, the prioritization matrix method is preferred; where accuracy is the major requirement, the AHP method would be a better choice.

Abstract:Quality function deployment (QFD) is one of the key techniques of modem quality engineering, whose. core is the establishment of House of Quality (HOQ). This article will apply the HOQ to the process of in the improvement of investment and financing service environment of public utility construction in villages and towns, and establish the system hierarchical model taking the improvement of investment and financing service environment of public utility construction in villages and towns as the target. The enterprise's requirement will be deployed to characteristics of the investment and financing environment of public utility construction in villages and towns and the system hierarchical model will be transferred to the HOQ for characteristics of the investment and financing service of public utility construction in villages and towns further which reflects the enterprise's requirement truly through applying the AHP to make the quantitative analysis. The subjectivity and blindness of the investment and financing service could be avoided and the improvement of investment and financing service environment of public utility construction in villages and towns will be more pertinent.

Abstract:Using the results of previous studies of service quality attributes, five sets of quality measures are identified. These indicators or measures, through the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), are then accurately and consistently weighted. The priority weights are, in turn, incorporated in a goal-programming model to help select the “best” set of quality control instruments for customer data collection purposes. The paper proposes a decision aid that will allow weighting (prioritizing) of a firm's unique service quality measures, consider the real world resource limitations (i.e., budget, hour, labor, etc.), and select the optimal set of service quality control instruments. The paper addresses two important issues: how to incorporate and decide upon quality control measures in a service industry, and how to incorporate the AHP into the model. A real world case study illustrates the application of this combined analytic hierarchy process and goal-programming (AHP–GP) model.

Abstract:In AHP, it is difficult to transform a evaluation matrix to some coherence one. Some factors are easy to satisfy coherence. We chose AHP. Since others are hard, we choose the method of Fuzzy-Decision. In building the system of suppliers evaluation in SCM, it is practical to choose, subdivide and fit together the 23 basic factors Weber suggested. Evaluation factors are classified as two types: qualitative one and quantitative one. To get the evaluation result, the first one is decided by expert, the other is based on data, to process the data, subjection-function method and frequency method are suggested.

Abstract:In view of uncertainty degree of judgment in group-evaluation problem, a new method combined the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) with the basic theory of triangular fuzzy number was given in this paper. A real case study of personnel selection in Matlab environment demonstrated its application and examined its effectiveness. The use of this proposed method indicates that it is easier for the evaluation team not only to obtain impartial and reasonable resulting value, but also to arrive at a consensus decision. Moreover, the consistent degree of decision or opinion of each decision element from different expert can be showed clearly.

Abstract:A comprehensive asphalt pavement construction quality control evaluation system and a computer program for this system were developed to improve asphalt pavement construction quality in China. The system was developed on the basis of the uncertainty analytic hierarchy process and used a large amount of data collected from actual asphalt paving construction projects and laboratory test results from various provinces and regions in China. The 33 indices incorporated into the system were selected by a panel of Chinese asphalt pavement experts. The indices included parameters related to materials, equipment, personnel, and the construction process that were deemed important in improving quality and performance of asphalt pavements. Weight factors for each of the 33 indices and the higher-level parameters in the three-level hierarchy system were generated by utilizing the uncertainty concept, which allowed the experts to assign relative importance between any related pairs of indices. The program was able to generate rating scores for asphalt pavement construction quality. Through evaluation of the rating scores among the parameters and indices generated by the system, potential problems in an asphalt pavement construction project could be detected in a timely manner and corrective actions applied to remediate the deficiencies detected by the system. The system, the first of this kind developed for assessing the quality control of asphalt pavement construction in China, has been used to monitor several major asphalt pavement construction projects in the country.

Abstract:Objective:Using analytic hierarchy process(AHP)method to construct the risk evaluation of medical equipment.Methods: Combine the professors’ suggestion, data of maintenance and quality control to several medical equipments in different hospitals. Screen six kinds of medical equipment, including infant incubator, high-frequency electrotome, defibrillator, ECG monitor, ventilator and infusion pumps.Results: Ventilator has highest risk and need to be concentrated.Conclusion: The results can guide quality control, patrol, and maintenance.

Abstract:<p>Food safety risks has received great attention in all world. And the reasonable effectiveness of security warnings can reduce public panic and risk losses. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved risk early warning method for food safety detection data based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) integrating the quality control analysis method. The AHP based on the entropy weight can obtain risk values for food safety component data. And the risk matrix of the risk component is obtained by the risk probabilities of the components. Then the corresponding risk levels are calculated using the quality control analysis method to release the risk warning information. Finally, a case study of dairy product safety data from the GuiZhou province in China is conducted to verify the feasibility and reliability of the proposed method. Moreover, the proposed method can scientifically and reasonably determine the risk level information. Furthermore, the risk management is provided to effectively reduce risk losses of the country though relevant quality inspection departments.</p>

Abstract:In this work, the authors propose the integrated application of CSP-1 plan and Dodge-Romig rectifying inspection plan with expected inspection cost, expected replacement cost, expected warranty cost, expected quality loss for conforming product, and expected quality loss for non-conforming product per item. The quality characteristics of product is considered as the normal distribution with nominal-the-best and symmetric quadratic quality loss function. The CSP-1 plan is firstly applied in the process control. The optimal combination of parameters is obtained from the minimum expected total cost per item produced under the specified average outgoing quality limit (AOQL) protection. One needs to have the optimal clearance number, sampling frequency, and specification limit coefficient. Then Dodge-Romig rectifying inspection plan is applied in the product improvement. The optimal sample size, clearance number, and quality investment are obtained by minimizing the expected total cost per lot under the specified consumer's risk.

Abstract:The present research explores the collective influence of quality assurance and postponement on a hybrid multiproduct replenishing-delivery decision-making. Assume the required multiproduct has a standard (common) component, and our replenishing-delivery model has incorporated a two-phase postponement strategy. The first phase makes all standard components and hires an external supplier to partially provide the required parts to cut short the needed uptime. In contrast, the second phase fabricates the finished multiproduct in sequence. To ensure the desired merchandise quality, we apply a quality-assurance action to the in-house processes to screen and remove scrap items and rework the repairable defects in both stages. Upon completing each merchandise, these products are transported to the customer in n fixed-quantity shipment in fixed-time intervals. We employ math modeling and formulating approaches to gain the overall supply-chain operating expenses comprising subcontracting, fabricating, stock holding, transportation, and customer holding costs. By minimizing system operating expenses, this research determines the optimal replenishing-delivery policy. Lastly, we give a numerical example to demonstrate our study’s applicability and usefulness/capability for facilitating managerial decision-making.

Abstract:Because predictions of transportation system reliability can provide useful information for intelligent transportation systems (ITS), evaluation of them might be viewed as a beneficial activity for reducing traffic congestion. This evaluation procedure could include some alternatives and criteria in a discrete decision space. To handle this evaluation process in an uncertain environment, a novel uncertain multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method is put forward in this paper. Considering the validity of uncertainty theory as a measure of epistemic uncertainty, we first introduce it into analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and provide the whole calculation procedure of the approach. The proposed approach is employed to evaluate regional travel time belief reliability in a case study. Additionally, a comparison is performed between the results of uncertain AHP and other MCDM methods to examine the efficiency of this method. These analyses show that uncertainty theory is particularly suited to be employed combination with the AHP method.

Abstract:This paper establishes the comprehensive evaluation index system according to the features of railway emergency plans. The index system is characterized by complexity of the hierarchy structure and imbalance of index distribution. This paper analyzes these features and their impacts and errors caused to the traditional AHP. Accordingly, in order to reduce the adverse influence and errors, this paper improves the traditional AHP in construction of the hierarchy structure of indexes, and quotes the G1 Method in calculation of weighted values of indexes. Finally it gives an example of a Qingzang railway emergency plan to verify the rationality and reliability of the proposed method. And it points out the application scope of the method in other fields.

Abstract:AHP (analytic hierarchy process), as a comprehensive safety evaluation method combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, has been used in many fields of safety and environmental science. The applications of AHP, improved AHP, FAHP (fuzzy AHP), improved FAHP and gray AHP in safety and environmental science were analyzed, summarized and prospected. The major factors affecting the work of occupational hazard supervision were analyzed. Considering the advantages that AHP can decompose the complex issues and provide the scientific basis for the choice of optimal decisions, it was proposed to use AHP in the fields of occupational hazard supervision.

Abstract:Calculating arithmetic-weighted average value of environmental quality comprehensive index is a common method in environmental quality comprehensive evaluation.And the Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) method is a main method for determining its weight.In order to overcome the uncertainty due to different judgments based on different environmental information and criterion,an improved AHP method is designed for environmental quality comprehensive evaluation.The process of the improved AHP method involves the following key procedures.First the parameters y_i1 and y_i2 are calculated based on the environmental monitoring data.Second the pollution factors are put in order according to the symbol and value of y_i1 and y_i2.Third the different numerical value,which represents importance of each factor,is given to each pollution factor in light of seating order of factors.And forth the factor weights are achieved by the judgment matrix formed on the pairwise comparison of factors.Therefore,the weights of pollution factors are completely based on the monitoring data.Moreover,because the state of environmental pollution will change with time and space it is necessary to give different weight to each factor while evaluating environmental comprehensive quality in different periods and different regions.The improved AHP method can just be used to compare environmental comprehensive quality objectively among different periods and spaces.
