Abstract:Conventional GIS system can't express the complicated relations between objects.In order to solve this problem,the GIS data model is studied,then a geographic object data model is given in express highway based on the OpenGIS geometry data model,and at last the express-highway-GIS-T-system based on the object data model is implemented to enhance the capability of data representation in conventional GIS system.After that,a further extended GIS_T system is presented to users: Highway mangers who view that the system is according to the management criterion in the express highway,developers who view that the system is complete object-oriented,map operators who view that the system represents the real world.

Abstract:The distance and retail store attraction have effect on consumer shopping action. Recently most relative quantitative modeling study on retail location did not simultaneously consider those factors including traffic network, traffic grade, store attraction and competition based on GIS. This paper aims at these shortages and attempt to integrate above factors and make quantitative analysis about large scale shops based on accessibility method, breaking point laws and GIS technique. The result indicates that accessibility of large scale supermarket in Shanghai central city is good, the west of city is better than east. Shops' market region areas in near out ring are greater. Trade areas between inner loop and middle loop are smaller. Market size near out loop and inside inner loop is greater. Market scale of between inner loop and middle loop is smaller. This study can make urban planner know about retail network layout. Managers can quickly understand the shop trade areas and provide the consult for choosing shops location. ©2009 IEEE.

Abstract:Recently most relative quantitative modeling studies on retail location,based on GIS technology,did not consider factors simultaneously including traffic network,traffic grade,store attraction and competition.Considering shortages mentioned above,this paper attempts to integrate these factors and make quantitative analysis of large scale shops based on accessibility method,Gasa laws and GIS technique.This study,taking the large scale supermarkets in Shanghai central city as an example,applies the concentric buffer method,sector analysis and nearest neighborhood analysis to explore the supermarket spatial features.Trip cost method is used to investigate quantitatively supermarket accessibility,then delimitating market area is simulated based on trip cost analysis and Gasa rules.The result indicates that the whole accessibility of large scale supermarkets in Shanghai central city is good,and the west is better than the east.Trade areas around the outer ring are greater.There is obvious polarization among Gasa shops' trade areas and size.The characteristics mentioned above show that areas with intense competition among supermarkets coexist with areas lack of supermarkets,and there are grade differences between supermarkets' market size and functions.This study can provide references for urban planners in the aspect of retail network arrangement.Managers can quickly understand the shop trade areas and provide consult for choosing shops location.Some tips for selection of retail locations can also be provided.Although our research suggests that we provide more effective methods toward trade area definition,several problems should be solved in future.Further studies should be done on demand,and purchase ability and residential trip habits from consumers shall be taken into consideration.

Abstract:Now the most important reason that limits the development of our country's supermarket chains is the costly and inefficient logistics delivery.A nice logistics delivery system can well improve the efficiency of logistic delivery.This paper make a in-depth demand analysis,designed a efficient logistic delivery system by using WebGIS.We can get the stock control strategy in the conditions of keeping the optimum amount of inventory by bringing optimal control theory into the delivery scheme analysis,and with the help of the hamiltonian and co-state equation,providing a reference for the supermarket purchasing.

Abstract:The characteristic of the traditional commercial retail net location model is the static model based on statistics. Three key factors which include population,economy and market competition impact the commercial retail net location. A new evaluation model of commercial retail net location is based on weight setting and Geographic Information System,the application flow of this model is described. In addition,typical application is done in public information service platform of Luohu District of Shenzhen City base on this model. And it validates the feasibility of this model.

Abstract:ABSTRACT The market saturation issue of urban shopping malls has attracted considerable attention in China in recent years. In order to rapidly identify potential over-supply zones and inform policy-makers, this study developed a new model by integrating a weighted Voronoi diagram and crowdsourced data. The model was then tested in the city of Hangzhou, China. First, crowdsourced data such as user reviews of shopping were collected to measure the weights of malls. Second, by using population and floor space as parameters, an over-supply index was established for over-supply zone delimitation. This study offers a fast and low-cost approach for measuring consumption activities at a fine scale, and shows the merits of integrating classical analysis models and big data. Moreover, long-term user reviews and recommendation datasets with timestamps could be used to monitor the status of market health. From a bottom-up perspective, the market boundary map and over-supply index could constitute an important database for policy formulation through crowdsourced data.

Abstract:Based on GIS,this paper proposes a distribution center location model with geographic gaps in the selection area.Using the modified distance function of GIS on such location model,we find the discontinuous and non-convex property of the object function.Then a new approximate algorithm is proposed to solve the model.Finally,a numerical example is given to illustrate its efficiency.

Abstract:Abstract By using the POI data of Gaode, we screened out the life supermarket system, and studied the spatial distribution characteristics of life supermarket system and its spatial symbiosis with the surrounding residential areas. The analysis found that: 1 The spatial distribution pattern of Chongqing’s main city supermarkets is consistent with the "multi-center group" urban structure. The development of supermarkets in the main urban area presents the "Matthew Effect", and it still faces several major business districts within the inner ring and its surroundings. Centralized, another university town relies on stable student group demand, showing a new growth direction; 2 Convenience stores have relatively homogeneous cluster characteristics, are mainly developed on more mature commercial areas, and have achieved rapid growth in recent years increased by 1.2 times; 3 The overall distribution of imported merchandise stores in the main urban area is small clusters, and the concentration degree in the GuanYinqiao area is the most prominent. Compared with other types, the concentration degree is higher in the Haier Road area near the bonded port area; 4 Living areas with a high degree of compounding of the living supermarket system around the community are mainly distributed within the inner ring and have a high degree of spatial fit with the major business districts. Outside the inner ring, they are mainly distributed in the north of Beibei City, Beibei Old City, Yudong- and Lianglu.

Abstract:With economic development and social progress, geographic information science is playing a more and more important role in tourism development. Many spatial analysis methods have been used in planning and design of scenic development programs. In this paper, the application of geographic information systems is illustratedfrom three perspectives. DEM model, Voronoi diagram and Space syntax are used to help achieve suitable land use, rational scenic spots layout, and traffic systems, with which tourist split-flow may be attainable. This study enriches tourism planning methods, which may make tourism planning more scientific and operable.

Abstract:Supermarket chain stores, acting as a model of retail formats, are booming in China, and logistics distribution is one of the key determinants to lower costs. This paper employed a specific case-supermarket Wu Dongfeng by using the system dynamics method to illustrate the efficiency of factor analysis. The research makes the following findings: we can adjust the delay time of the distribution center receiving rate; the adjustment time of chain store has a great impact on the distribution center storage and we should pay attention to its controlment.

Abstract:Urban pickup and delivery (PUD) activities are important for logistics operations. Real operations for general freight involve a high degree of complexity due to daily variability. Discrete-event simulation (DES) is a method that can mimic real operations and include stochastic parameters. However, realistic vehicle routing is difficult to build in DES models. The objective is to create a DES model for realistic freight routing, which considers the driver’s routing decisions. Realistic models need to predict the delivery route (including time and distance) for variable consignment address and backhaul pickup. Geographic information systems (GIS) and DES were combined to develop freight PUD models. GIS was used to process geographical data. Two DES models were developed and compared. The first was a simple suburb model, and the second an intersection-based model. Real industrial data were applied including one-year consignment data and global positioning system (GPS) data. A case study of one delivery tour is shown, with results validated with actual GPS data. The DES results were also compared with conventional GIS models. The result shows the intersection-based model is adequate to mimic actual PUD routing. This work provides a method for combining GIS and DES to build freight operation models for urban PUD. This has the potential to help industry logistics practitioners better understand their current operations and experiment with different scenarios.

Abstract:One important advantage of Geographical Information System (GIS) is its spatial analyses. According to researches and applications, the best way to implement the spatial analyses is to use the tool of model. However, many GIS systems lack spatial model base in different degrees, which in a sense constrains the spatial analysis ability of GIS. But different from common models, the spatial models must cope with and operate complex spatial data that bring many specific difficulties. So the development of spatial model is very slow compared with that of GIS applications and the related requirements. Introducing the COM technology, this paper studies the reusable spatial model base that is independent to specific applications. Then, based on the study a model base frame is advanced and its implementation is discussed. Our study shows that introduction of COM technology into GIS spatial model base, not only can enhance the reusability of GIS software, but also can help the realization of GIS spatial analyses. Because of the complexity brought by the spatial data, more issues remain to be further studied.

Abstract:Spatial competition is an important way to analyze the relation and interaction among rural settlements. Spatial competition can continuously promote the development and evolution of rural settlements, and determine spatial distribution of rural settlements. Taking Jintan city as the study area, this paper analyzes influencing factors of spatial competition, and construct the general factors index system with 21 general factors. Analytic Hierarchy Process was applied to determine the weight of each index. Finally we can get the classification distribution of spatial competition of rural settlements. Result shows that the distribution of spatial competition of rural settlements coincided with the main agricultural economy development area.

Abstract:The optimization of the e-commerce logistics distribution path has always been an important research object in intelligent control. Based on the geographic information system (GIS) platform, this paper proposes an improved ant colony algorithm for the logistics distribution path optimization model based on the GIS platform. Firstly, ArcGIS software is used to solve the problem of complex networks and realize the selection and output of optional routes. Secondly, the basic ant colony algorithm is improved, and a dynamic path planning method combining global planning information and local planning is proposed. It mainly includes the improvement of the heuristic function and the improvement of the update method of pheromone. Finally, through simulation experiments and case validation experiments, it is concluded that the improved algorithm outperforms the traditional ant colony algorithm. In the case validation part, a local area of Beijing is selected to simulate a natural distribution environment, and the path optimization experiments are validated by building an actual road network model. The results show that the model can plan the optimal path for logistics distribution according to the road congestion. The data analysis shows that the route optimization model proposed in this paper can effectively reduce the distribution cost of enterprises, increase vehicle loading, and increase the profit and industry competitiveness of logistics enterprises.

Abstract:Based on GIS as the main carrier, our real time computer simulation system of urban logistics distribution vehicle routing optimization precisely measures and marks the information of distribution site, providing true and available information for routing optimization, performing low cost and highly efficient operation on vehicle scheduling by the distribution center through optimization algorithm. The system can satisfy the demand of urban logistics distribution routing optimization under the multi- constraints condition of variable distribution cites and complex urban roads by simulating numerous distribution cites up to scores of thousands according to different plans and different regions and counting the information of vehicle routing and loading by different plans for contrast analysis so as to adjust and optimize the distribution routing, regions, period and vehicles in order to accomplish the equilibrium distribution and management of many relevant indexes such as vehicle load capacity, distribution work capacity and distribution time.

Abstract:Following the extensive urbanization, more and more people swarm into cities. Demands for urban infrastructure and land use, therefore, will change rapidly and drastically, and most urban planning should be regulated or remade. Under the new situation, location of public service facility should be paid more attention to, while the general software platform could not assist it well. Therefore, a new kind of traffic network system is proposed, which is composed of both vehicle traffic model and pedestrian traffic model, and corresponding algorithms are built or rebuilt. Moreover, the evaluation indices are proposed to evaluate different location planning scheme. Finally, new models and methods are used in location analysis for urban public service facilities in case cities, and show the effectiveness.
