Our main focus is on establishing the Poincaré–Birkhoff–Witt Theorem for the double Yangian and constructing its central elements in the form of coefficients of the quantum contraction. Abstract:On the occasion of the birth centenary of the discovery of electron, I discuss its role in the area of Elementary Particle Physics. I emphasize that the discovery of electron marks the end of the speculation era lasting more than 2500 years. The key developments leading to the discovery of electron by J.J. Thomson are mentioned. The standard model is briefly described. It is emphasized that this model is unsatisfactory in several respects, however no further progress beyond standard model is possible unless there is a dramatic advance in instrumentation.

Abstract:We give a new presentation of the Yangian for the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}_{1|2m}$. It relies on the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the $R$-matrix presentation. The defining relations between the Gaussian generators are derived from a new version of the Drinfeld-type presentation of the Yangian for $\mathfrak{osp}_{1|2}$ and some additional relations in the Yangian for $\mathfrak{osp}_{1|4}$ by an application of the embedding theorem for the super-Yangians.

Abstract:In this note, we generalize the notion of quantum Berezinian to the double Yangian ${\rm DY}(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$ of the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$. We show that its coefficients form a family of algebraically independent topological generators of the center of ${\rm DY}(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$.

Abstract:Abstract Let $\mathfrak {g}$ be a complex semisimple Lie algebra with associated Yangian $Y_{\hbar }\mathfrak {g}$ . In the mid-1990s, Khoroshkin and Tolstoy formulated a conjecture which asserts that the algebra $\mathrm {D}Y_{\hbar }\mathfrak {g}$ obtained by doubling the generators of $Y_{\hbar }\mathfrak {g}$ , called the Yangian double, provides a realization of the quantum double of the Yangian. We provide a uniform proof of this conjecture over $\mathbb {C}[\kern-1.2pt\![{\hbar }]\!\kern-1.2pt]$ which is compatible with the theory of quantized enveloping algebras. As a by-product, we identify the universal R -matrix of the Yangian with the canonical element defined by the pairing between the Yangian and its restricted dual.

Abstract:In this work we extend two dual color decompositions of Yang-Mills amplitude to one-loop level. Starting from double-copy expression we translate the Yang-Mills integrand into the dual Del Duca-Dixon-Maltoni formulation and subsequently to the dual color-ordered formula. The dual trace factors are obtained after simultaneously solving the one-loop Kleiss-Kuijf relations, the reflection relation, and the relation that expresses the kinematic factors in the dual Del Duca-Dixon-Maltoni form.

Abstract:We explicitly construct cut-and-join operators and their eigenfunctions -- the Super-Schur functions -- for the case of the affine super-Yangian $\mathsf{Y}(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_{1|1})$. This is the simplest non-trivial (semi-Fock) representation, where eigenfunctions are labeled by the superanalogue of 2d Young diagrams, and depend on the supertime variables $(p_k,\theta_k)$. The action of other generators on diagrams is described by the analogue of the Pieri rule. As well we present generalizations of the hook formula for the measure on super-Young diagrams and of the Cauchy formula. Also a discussion of string theory origins for these relations is provided.

From quantum loop superalgebras to super Yangians

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to generalize a statement by Drinfeld, asserting that Yangians can be constructed as limit forms of the quantum loop algebras, to the super case. We establish a connection between quantum loop superalgebra and super Yangian of the general linear Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{M|N}$ in RTT type presentation. In particular, we derive the Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt(PBW) theorem for the quantum loop superalgebra $\mathrm{U}_q\big(\mathfrak{Lgl}_{M|N}\big)$. Additionally, we investigate the application of the same argument to twisted super Yangian of the ortho-symplectic Lie superalgebra. For this purpose, we introduce the twisted quantum loop superalgebra as a one-sided coideal of $\mathrm{U}_q\big(\mathfrak{Lgl}_{M|2n}\big)$ with respect to the comultiplication.

Abstract:Scattering amplitudes in Yang-Mills-Einstein theories have been investigated mostly for compact gauge groups. While non-compact gauge groups are not physically viable in Yang-Mills theory, non-compact gaugings feature prominently in the supergravity literature, where any choice of perturbative vacuum spontaneously breaks the gauge group to a compact subgroup. In this paper, we formulate double-copy constructions for several five-dimensional N=2 supergravities with non-compact gauge groups. On one side of the double copy, we employ amplitudes from a super-Yang-Mills theory with a massive hypermultiplet. On the other, we use amplitudes from particular non-supersymmetric Yang-Mills-scalar theories with massive fermions, chosen to obey constraints coming from color/kinematics duality. Supergravities with massive self-dual tensors in five dimensions are also considered, showing that tensors are straightforwardly realized as double copies of gauge-theory fermions with suitable choices of signs in the corresponding solutions of the Dirac equation. We present several examples of these constructions, noting in particular the appearance of Heisenberg groups in the supergravity gauge symmetry and, in some cases, the possibility of exotic tensor-vector matter couplings.

Abstract:We study 1-loop MHV amplitudes in 𝒩 = 4 super Yang-Mills theory and in 𝒩 = 8 supergravity. For Yang-Mills we find that the simple form for the full amplitude presented by Del Duca, Dixon and Maltoni naturally leads to one that has physical residues on all compact contours. After expanding the simple form in terms of standard scalar integrals, we introduce redundancies under certain symmetry considerations to impose the color-kinematics duality of Bern, Carrasco and Johansson (BCJ). For five particles we directly find the results of Carrasco and Johansson as well as a new compact form for the supergravity amplitude. For six particles we find that all kinematic dual Jacobi identities are encapsulated in a single functional equation relating the expansion coefficients. By the BCJ double-copy construction we obtain a formula for the corresponding 𝒩 = 8 super-gravity amplitude. Quite surprisingly, all physical information becomes independent of the expansion coefficients modulo the functional equation. In other words, there is no need to solve the functional equation at all. This is quite welcome as the functional equation we find, using our restricted set of redundancies, actually has no solutions. For this reason we call these results virtual color-kinematics duality. We end with speculations about the meaning of an interesting global vs. local feature of the functional equation and the situation at higher points.
Twisted super Yangians of type AIII and their representations

Abstract:We study the super analogue of the Molev-Ragoucy reflection algebras, which we call twisted super Yangians of type AIII, and classify their finite-dimensional irreducible representations under certain conditions. These superalgebras are coideal subalgebras of the super Yangian $\mathscr{Y}(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$ and are associated with symmetric pairs of type AIII in Cartan's classification. We establish the Schur-Weyl type duality between degenerate affine Hecke algebras of type BC and twisted super Yangians.

Abstract:We find Bethe vectors for quantum integrable models associated with the supersymmetric Yangians $Y(\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$ in terms of the current generators of the Yangian double $DY(\mathfrak{gl}(m|n))$. More specifically, we use the method of projections onto intersections of different type Borel subalgebras in this infinite dimensional algebra to construct the Bethe vectors. Calculating these projection the supersymmetric Bethe vectors can be expressed through matrix elements of the universal monodromy matrix elements. Using two different but isomorphic current realizations of the Yangian double $DY(\mathfrak{gl}(m|n))$ we obtain two different presentations for the Bethe vectors. These Bethe vectors are also shown to obey some recursion relations which prove their equivalence.
Generalized classical Yang-Baxter equation and regular decompositions

Abstract:The focus of the paper is on constructing new solutions of the generalized classical Yang-Baxter equation (GCYBE) that are not skew-symmetric. Using regular decompositions of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras, we construct Lie algebra decompositions of $\mathfrak{g}(\!(x)\!) \times \mathfrak{g}[x]/x^m \mathfrak{g}[x]$. The latter decompositions are in bijection with the solutions to the GCYBE. Under appropriate regularity conditions, we obtain a partial classification of such solutions. The paper is concluded with the presentations of the Gaudin-type models associated to these solutions.

Abstract:The affine Yangian of is isomorphic to the universal enveloping algebra of and can serve as a building block in the construction of new vertex operator algebras. In [1], a two-parameter family generalization of = 2 supersymmetric algebra was constructed by "gluing" two affine Yangians of using operators that transform as (□, ) and ( , □) w.r.t. the two affine Yangians. In this paper we realize a similar (but non-isomorphic) two-parameter gluing construction where the gluing operators transform as (□, □) and ( , ) w.r.t. the two affine Yangians. The corresponding representation space consists of pairs of plane partitions connected by a common leg whose cross-section takes the shape of Young diagrams, offering a more transparent geometric picture than the previous construction.

Abstract:We propose commuting sets of matrix-valued difference operators in terms of trigonometric ${\rm GL}(N|M)$-valued $R$-matrices thus providing quantum supersymmetric (and possibly anisotropic) spin Ruijsenaars-Macdonald operators. Two types of trigonometric supersymmetric $R$-matrices are used for this purpose. The first is the one related to the affine quantized algebra ${\hat{\mathcal U}}_q({\rm gl}(N|M))$. The second is a graded version of the standard $\mathbb Z_n$-invariant $A_{n-1}$ type $R$-matrix. We show that being properly normalized the latter graded $R$-matrix satisfies the associative Yang-Baxter equation. Next, we discuss construction of long-range spin chains using the Polychronakos freezing trick. As a result we obtain a new family of spin chains, which extends the ${\rm gl}(N|M)$-invariant Haldane-Shastry spin chain to q-deformed case with possible presence of anisotropy.
