Abstract:Objective To isolate and identify the antitumor components of an Antarctic marine-derived fungus Penicillium chrysogenum PR4-1-3.Methods The extract of the fungus was purified by solvent extraction,column chromatography and preparative HPLC guided by the bioassay results.Their structures were established by physicochemical properties and spectral analysis.The proliferation inhibition activities were evaluated by SRB method.Results Five aromatic phenol quinone compounds were identified as secalonic acid D(1),secalonic acid F(2),chrysophanol(3),emodin(4) and citreorosein(5).All of these compounds showed cytotoxic activities.In addition,the antivirus activities of compounds 1 and 2 were evaluated by CPE method.Compound 1 showed moderate antivirus activity,and the inhibition ratio against H1N1 virus was 50% at the concentration of 50 μg·mL-1.Conclusion All the compounds are the first time to report isolated from Antarctic microorganism,and it's the first report of slight antivirus activity for compound 1.
