Abstract:The leafhopper genus Cuanta Dworakowska, 1993 is recorded from China for the first time. Three species, C. plana, C. curva. and C. centralis spp. nov., are described and illustrated as new to science. A check-list and key to all species of Cuanta are provided.The leafhopper genus Cuanta was established by Dworakowska in 1993 with Cuanta angusta Dworakowska, 1993 as its type species, and hitherto was a monotypic genus recorded only from India. In identifying specimens kept in the Entomology Museum of Northwest A&F University, we found 3 new species in this genus and thus extend its distribution from India, the type locality, northward to the Qingling Mountains, which form the boundary between the Oriental and Palaearctic Regions in China.
