Abstract:Effective Alzheimer's disease (AD) treatment is dependent on a timely and precise diagnosis. While ensemble learning (EL) has the potential to increase the efficacy of learning systems, deep learning (DL) has shown promise as a way to diagnose AD at an early stage. This paper proposes a novel DL-based ensemble technique for rapid and precise AD diagnosis from MRI data. Pre-processing, segmentation, feature extraction, feature selection, and AD detection are the five primary phases of the suggested model. First, histogram equalization, Gaussian filtering, and skull stripping procedures are used to pre-process the raw MRI picture. The Region of Interest (ROI) is then isolated from the pre-processed image using the improved attention-based U-NET model. To precisely locate the ROI region in the image, the weight function of U-NET is optimized using a new hybrid optimization model referred to as Equestrian Ecosystem Optimization (EEO). Texture features, such as the Improved Gray-Level Run Length Matrix (I-GLRLM) and the Gray-Level Size Zone Matrix (GLSZM), as well as shape features, such as Zernike moments and perimeter analysis, are then extracted from the isolated ROI sections. The Equestrian Ecosystem Optimisation (EEO), which chooses the best features from the extracted set of data, is produced by combining the Horse Herd Optimisation Algorithm (HOA) and Artificial Ecosystem-based Optimisation (AEO). Finally, the newly proposed ensemble model is utilized in this research effort, which combines the optimized Artificial Neural Network (O-ANN), Capsule CNN (Convolutional Neural Network), and autoencoder to detect AD in MRI pictures. The suggested model is put into practice using the PYTHON platform, and the outcomes are assessed for accuracy, sensitivity, precision, FPR, and FNR.
