Abstract:Objective:To observe the relationship between serum and urinary angiogenin(ANG)levels and clinical stage in hemangioma infants.Methods:52cases of hemangioma infants(24proliferative phase and28 involutional phase)and 14 cases of vascular malformation infants and 36 healthy control subjects were enrolled in this study. The levels of ANG,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)in the serum and urine were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results:The serum and urinary ANG levels of hemangioma infants in proliferative phase were the highest(P <0.01),but there were no significant differences among the involutional phase infants, vascular malformation infants and healthy controls(P >0.05).There were no significant differences among groups with regard to the levels of VEGF and bFGF in serum and urine. Conclusion:The serum and urinary ANG levels of hemangioma infants in proliferative phase was higher than those in the involutional phase and vascular malformation infants, whereas no significant difference between the involutional phase hemangioma and vascular malformation infants. The serum and urinary ANG levels might provide important evidence for clinical stage diagnosis of hemangioma.
