Abstract:Objective: To explore the cognitive function of patients with childhood schizophrenia.Method: 15 patients with childhood schizophrenia with the main symptom of delusion(case group)and 15 normal children(control group)were assessed by neuropsychological tests(including auditory verbal learning test,digital span test,digital symbol test and Raven standard reasoning test).Results: The results of the tests of auditory verbal learning,digital span,digital symbol and Raven standard reasoning test in case group were worse than control group.The largest effect size of perceptual discrimination was- 2.10.Then,the effect size of comparison of reasoning,abstract reasoning,immediate memory,digital symbol,relation series,digital span,comparison of class and delayed memory probability were- 1.68,- 1.59,- 1.50,- 1.44,- 0.85,- 0.77,- 0.58,- 0.30,0.32.Conclusion: To different degrees intelligence,logical reasoning,memory,attention,executive function are impaired in patients with childhood schizophrenia.
