Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of hydroxychloroquine in the treatment of Sj?gren’s syndrome. Methods The medication information was searched and collected from major databases in domestic and foreign. The meta-analysis was conducted by Review Manage 5.2 and the evidences quality was assessed. Results Medication information showed that hydroxychloroquine used for improving some symptoms of Sj?gren’s syndrome had been included in domestic guidelines. Meta-analysis showed that the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine group was similar to placebo group. Compared with Chinese medicine group, hydroxychloroquine had equal or slightly worse efficacy. More adverse reactions happened in hydroxychloroquine group than other treatment groups. The quality of included studies was generally medium or low. Conclusion The efficacy of hydroxychloroquine used for Sj?gren’s syndrome treatment is limited and there is no advantage on safety.
