Progress of Purification of Phosphatidycholine by Supercritical Carbon Dioxide and Ethanol Mixture

Abstract:The purification of phosphatidylcholine(PC) by supercritical carbon dioxide and ethanol mixture extraction was reviewed. The products extracted by this mixture solvent have high content of PC and free of toxic organic solvent residual. Hence, they can be applied in the pharmacy industry. Compared with the alcohol fraction and column chromatography, the purification of PC by SC-CO 2 and ethanol mixture extraction has good prospect of application.
