Abstract:• Health disparities are present in the three primary settings (neonatal intensive care unit [NICU], pediatric intensive care unit [PICU], and cardiac intensive care unit [CICU]) that care for critically ill children in the United States. • We describe over 50 studies which were designed to evaluate health disparities based on sociodemographic exposures.
