Abstract:This paper establishes an extreme $C^k$ reducibility theorem of quasi-periodic $SL(2, \mathbb{R})$ cocycles in the local perturbative region, revealing both the essence of Eliasson [Commun.Math.Phys.1992] and Hou-You [Invent.Math.2012] in respectively the non-resonant and resonant cases. By paralleling further the reducibility process with the almost reducibility, we are able to acquire the least initial regularity as well as the least loss of regularity for the whole KAM iterations. This, in return, makes various spectral applications of quasi-periodic Schrödinger operators wide open.

Abstract:We consider the reducibility problem of quasi-periodic cocycles (α ,A) on 𝕋^d× U(n) in C^k class, with k large enough and α being a Diophantine vector. We show that if (α ,A) is conjugated to a constant cocycle (α ,C) via (θ ,X)↦ (θ , B(θ )X) , with a map B:𝕋^d→ U(n) being measurable, then it can be conjugated to (α ,C) in C^k^' (k^'<k) class for almost all C , provided that A is sufficiently close to constants. When d=1 , such a conclusion can even be extended to the global case: if (α ,A) is conjugated to a constant cocycle (α ,C) via measurable B:𝕋^d→ U(n) , it can be conjugated to (α ,C) in C^k^' (k^'<k) class, for almost all α and C .

Abstract:We prove that infinitely differentiable almost reducible quasi-periodic cocycles, under a Diophantine condition on the frequency vector, are almost reducible to a sequence of real constant cocycles with a sequence of real conjugations, up to a period doubling.

Abstract:Avila's Almost Reducibility Conjecture (ARC) is a powerful statement linking purely analytic and dynamical properties of analytic one-frequency cocycles. It is also a fundamental tool in the study of spectral theory of analytic one-frequency Schrödinger operators, with many striking consequences, allowing to give a detailed characterization of the subcritical region. Here we give a proof, completely different from Avila's, for the important case of Schrödinger cocycles with trigonometric polynomial potentials and non-exponentially approximated frequencies, allowing, in particular, to obtain all the desired spectral consequences in this case.

Abstract:Sarnak's M\"obius disjointness conjecture states that M\"obius function is disjoint to any zero entropy dynamics. We prove that M\"obius disjointness conjecture holds for one-frequency analytic quasi-periodic cocycles which are almost reducible, which extend \cite{LS15,W17} to the noncommutative case. The proof relies on quantitative version of almost reducibility.

Abstract:In the present paper, we establish a reduction theorem for linear Schr\"odinger equation with finite smooth and time-quasi-periodic potential subject to Dirichlet boundary condition by means of KAM technique. Moreover, it is proved that the corresponding Schr\"odinger operator possesses the property of pure point spectra and zero Lyapunov exponent.

Abstract:Reducibility methods, aiming to simplify systems by conjugating them to those with constant coefficients, are crucial for studying the existence of quasiperiodic solutions. In KAM theory for PDEs, these methods help address the invertibility of linearized operators that arise in a Nash-Moser/KAM type scheme. The goal of this paper is to prove paradifferential reducibility results, enabling the reduction of nonlinear equations themselves, rather than just their linearizations, to constant coefficient form, modulo smoothing terms. As an initial application, we demonstrate the existence of quasiperiodic solutions for certain hyperbolic systems. Despite the small denominator problem, our proof does not rely on traditional Nash-Moser/KAM-type schemes. To achieve this, we develop two key toolsets. The first focuses on the calculus of paracomposition operators introduced by Alinhac, interpreted as the flow map of a paraproduct vector field. We refine this approach to establish new estimates that precisely capture the dependence on the diffeomorphism in question. The second toolset addresses two classical reducibility problems: one for matrix differential operators and another for nearly parallel vector fields on the torus. We resolve these problems by paralinearizing the conjugacy equation and exploiting, at the paradifferential level, the specific algebraic structure of conjugacy problems, akin to Zehnder's approximate Nash-Moser approach.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish the reducibility of a class of linear coupled quantum harmonic oscillator systems under time quasi-periodic, non-Hamiltonian, reversible perturbations. This essentially means that for most values of the frequency vector, these systems can be reduced to autonomous reversible systems with constant coefficients with respect to time. Our proof relies on an application of Kolmogorov–Arnold–Moser (KAM) theory for infinite dimensional reversible systems.

Structured quantitative almost reducibility and its applications

Abstract:We establish \textit{structured quantitative almost reducibility}, tailored for analytic quasiperiodic $SL(2,\mathbb{R})$-cocycles, which effectively addresses the challenge of infinitely many \textit{normal frequency} resonances. This method paves the way for optimal arithmetic reducibility results for such cocycles, thereby resolving Jitomirskaya's conjecture. From a spectral perspective, it leads to optimal arithmetic Anderson localization for a class of quasiperiodic long-range operators on higher-dimensional lattices. In particular, using structured quantitative almost reducibility, we establish a sharp quantitative version of Aubry duality, enabling us to uncover new spectral insights for almost Mathieu operators with Diophantine frequencies. For example, we precisely determine the exponential decay rate of spectral gaps in non-critical cases, thus addressing a question raised by Goldstein. Additionally, we reveal the optimal asymptotic growth of extended eigenfunctions for subcritical almost Mathieu operators.

Abstract:In this paper we prove an infinite dimensional KAM theorem, in which the assumptions on the derivatives of the perturbation in [24] are weakened from polynomial decay to logarithmic decay. As a consequence, we can apply it to 1D quantum harmonic oscillators and prove the reducibility of the linear harmonic oscillator, T= d(2)/dx(2) + x(2), on L-2(R) perturbed by the quasi-periodic in the time potential V(x, omega t; omega) with logarithmic decay. This proves the purepoint nature of the spectrum of the Floquet operator K, where K : = -i Sigma(n)(k-1) omega(k) partial derivative/partial derivative theta(k) - d(2)/dx(2) + x(2) + epsilon V(x, theta; omega) is defined on L-2(R) circle times L-2(T-n), and the potential V(x, theta; omega) has logarithmic decay as well as its gradient in omega.
Uniform quasi-multiplicativity of locally constant cocycles and applications

Abstract:In this paper, we show that a locally constant cocycle $\mathcal{A}$ is $k$-quasi multiplicative under the irreducibility assumption. More precisely, we show that if $\mathcal{A}^t$ and $\mathcal{A}^{\wedge m}$ are irreducible for every $t \mid d$ and $1\leq m \leq d-1$, then $\mathcal{A}$ is $k$-uniformly spannable for some $k\in \mathbb{N}$, which implies that $\mathcal{A}$ is $k$-quasi multiplicative. We apply our results to show that the unique subadditive equilibrium Gibbs state is $\psi$-mixing and calculate the Hausdorff dimension of cylindrical shrinking target and recurrence sets.

Abstract:In this paper we consider the linear quasi-periodic system where , is a constant matrix with different eigenvalues, g is a matrix Lie subalgebra of , with Letting and , we prove that if belonging to Sobolev spaces with each fixed is sufficiently small in given norm and satisfies Diophantine condition, then there exists a Cantor set with almost full Lebesgue measure such that for any , there exists a quasi-periodic transformation of the form , with , which reduces above system into a constant system where is a constant matrix close to A . Different from classical smooth results, our result requires smallness conditions only on a fixed low Sobolev norm ( -norm) of the first perturbation. It is worth mentioning that our system does not need second Melnikov's condition explicitly. As an application, we apply our results to smooth quasi-periodic Schrödinger equations to study the Lyapunov stability of the equilibrium and the existenc of quasi-periodic solutions. The result can be regarded as the generalization of the stability result in [37] to the smooth category.

Abstract:Inthis paper, we consider the reducibility of a class of nonlinear almost periodic Hamiltonian systems. Under suitable hypothesis of analyticity, non-resonant conditions and non-degeneracy conditions, by using KAM iteration, it is shown that the considered Hamiltonian system is reducible to an almost periodic Hamiltonian system with zero equilibrium points for most small enough parameters. As an example, we discuss the reducibility and stability of an almost periodic Hill's equation.

Abstract:In this paper we use a KAM theorem of Grébert and Thomann (Commun Math Phys 307:383–427, 2011 ) to prove the reducibility of the 1d wave equation with Dirichlet boundery conditions on [0,π ] with a quasi-periodic in time potential under some symmetry assumptions. From Mathieu–Hill operator’s known results (Eastham in The spectral theory of periodic differential operators, Hafner, New York, 1974 ; Magnus and Winkler in Hill’s equation, Wiley-Interscience, London, 1969 ) and Bourgain’s techniques (Commun Math Phys 204:207–247, 1999 ), we prove that for any ϵ small enough, there exist a 0<m_ϵ≤ 1 and one solution u_ϵ(t,x) with ‖ u_ϵ(t_n,x)‖ _H^1(𝕋)→∞ , |t_n|→∞ , where u_ϵ(t,x) satisfies 1d wave equation u_tt-u_xx+m_ϵu-ϵcos 2t u=0, with Dirichlet boundery conditions on [0,π ] .

Abstract:For reversible systems of infinite dimension we prove an infinitely dimensional KAM theorem with an application to the network of weakly coupled oscillators of friction. The KAM theorem shows that there are many invariant tori of infinite dimension, and thus many almost periodic solutions, for the reversible systems.

Abstract:The notions of coKähler manifolds and 3-cosymplectic manifolds are odd-dimensional analogues of the ones of Kähler manifolds and hyperKähler manifolds, respectively. In this paper, we obtain reduction theorems of coKähler manifolds and 3-cosymplectic manifolds. We show that Kähler and coKähler (hyperKähler and 3-cosymplectic) reductions admit a natural compatibility with respect to ``cylinder constructions". We further prove the compatibility of Kähler and coKähler reductions with respect to the "mapping torus construction".
