Cyber-A(nima): Modelling, reasoning and applications

Abstract:A concept of Cyber-A(nima) is presented with its modelling, reasoning and applying approaches in this article. Cyber-A(nima) is dedicated to reflect the nature of an individual person (or any individual entity broadly) with inner humanity concepts. The inner humanity terms are constructed semantically to represent the person's humanity concepts in nature. The inner humanity instances are associated with and transformed from outward personal information, which are collected from user inputs, Internet resources, application systems, and portable equipment. Application-oriented and role-based user models are developed from Cyber-A(nima) to be humanized. The humanity-based user models have been used to innovate traditional filtering and reasoning approaches and algorithms to address the existing performance challenges such as cold start, data sparsity, and grey sheep. The approaches and algorithms are further applied in a number of applications to improve their performance. To verify the feasibility of the proposed Cyber-A(nima) concepts and techniques, a cyber-anima-based private cloud browser, a cyber-anima-centric application, an anima-desire-intention(ADI) recommender, a humanity-based search engine, and several cyber-anima-based recommenders for travel services, healthcare services, and educational services are presented as typical application models and examples.
