Abstract:The main result of this note is the proof of degenerate quantum integrability of quantum spin Calogero–Moser systems and the description of the spectrum of quantum Hamiltonians in terms of the decomposition of tensor products of irreducible representations of corresponding Lie algebra.

Abstract:It is shown that spin Calogero–Moser systems are completely integrable in a sense of degenerate integrability. Their Liouville tori have dimension less than half of the dimension of the phase space. It is also shown that rational spin Ruijsenaars systems are degenerately integrable and dual to spin Calogero–Moser systems in a sense that action-angle variables of one are angle-action variables of the other.

Abstract:The subject of this paper is degenerate integrability in Hamiltonian mechanics. We start with a short survey of degenerate integrability. The first section contains basic notions. It is followed by a number of examples which include the Kepler system, Casimir models, spin Calogero models, spin Ruijsenaars models, and integrable models on symplectic leaves of Poisson Lie groups. The new results are degenerate integrability of relativistic spin Ruijsenaars and Calogero–Moser systems and the duality between them. Bibliography: 30 titles.

Abstract:In this paper we construct certain quantum spin systems on moduli spaces of $G$-connections on a connected oriented finite graph, with $G$ a simply connected compact Lie group. We construct joint eigenfunctions of the commuting quantum Hamiltonians in terms of local invariant tensors. We determine sufficient conditions ensuring superintegrability of the quantum spin system using irreducibility criteria for Harish-Chandra modules due to Harish-Chandra and Lepowsky & McCollum. The resulting class of quantum superintegrable spin systems includes the quantum periodic and open spin Calogero-Moser spin chains as special cases. In the periodic case the description of the joint eigenfunctions in terms of local invariant tensors are multipoint generalised trace functions, in the open case multipoint spherical functions on compact symmetric spaces.

Abstract:We introduce spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with root systems of simple Lie algebras and give the associated Lax representations (with spectral parameter) and fundamental Poisson bracket relations. The associated integrable models (called integrable spin Calogero-Moser systems in the paper) and their Lax pairs are then obtained via Poisson reduction and gauge transformations. For Lie algebras of $A_{n}$-type, this new class of integrable systems includes the usual Calogero-Moser systems as subsystems. Our method is guided by a general framework which we develop here using dynamical Lie algebroids.

Abstract:Quantum Calogero-Moser spin system is a superintegable system with the spectrum of commuting Hamiltonians that can be described entirely in terms of representation theory of corresponding simple Lie group. In this paper the underlying Lie group G is a compact connected, simply connected simple Lie group. It has a natural generalization known as quantum Calogero-Moser spin chain. In the first part of the paper we show that quantum Calogero-Moser spin chain is a quantum superintegrable systems. Then we show that the Euclidean multi-time propagator for this model can be written as a partition function of a two-dimensional Yang-Mills theory on a cylinder. Then we argue that the two-dimensional Yang-Mills theory with Wilson loops with "outer ends" should be regarded as the theory on space times with non-removable corners. Partition functions of such theory satisfy non-stationary Calogero-Moser equations.

We call them two sided spin Calogero-Moser systems. One important type of such systems correspond to $K_1=K_2=K$ where $K$ is a subgroup of fixed points of Chevalley involution $theta: Gto G$. The other important series of examples come from pair $Gsubset Gtimes G$ with the diagonal embedding. We explicitly describe examples of such systems corresponding to symplectic leaves of rank one when $G=SL_n$.

Abstract:Quantum integrable systems and their classical counterparts are considered. We show that the symplectic structure and invariant tori of the classical system can be deformed by a quantization parameter $\hbar$ to produce a new (classical) integrable system. The new tori selected by the $\hbar$-equidistance rule represent the spectrum of the quantum system up to $O(\hbar^\infty)$ and are invariant under quantum dynamics in the long-time range $O(\hbar^{-\infty})$. The quantum diffusion over the deformed tori is described. The analytic apparatus uses quantum action-angle coordinates explicitly constructed by an $\hbar$-deformation of the classical action-angles.

Abstract: We construct a class of interacting spin Calogero-Moser type systems. They can be regarded as a many particle system with spin degrees of freedom and as an integrable spin chain of Gaudin type. We prove that these Hamiltonian systems are superintegrable.

Abstract:For integrable inhomogeneous supersymmetric spin chains (generalized graded magnets) constructed employing Y(gl(N|M))-invariant R-matrices in finite-dimensional representations we introduce the master T-operator which is a sort of generating function for the family of commuting quantum transfer matrices. Any eigenvalue of the master T-operator is the tau-function of the classical mKP hierarchy. It is a polynomial in the spectral parameter which is identified with the 0-th time of the hierarchy. This implies a remarkable relation between the quantum supersymmetric spin chains and classical many-body integrable systems of particles of the Ruijsenaars-Schneider type. As an outcome, we obtain a system of algebraic equations for the spectrum of the spin chain Hamiltonians.

Quantum Integrable Systems on a Classical Integrable Background

Abstract:In this paper, we develop the framework for quantum integrable systems on an integrable classical background. We call them hybrid quantum integrable systems (hybrid integrable systems), and we show that they occur naturally in the semiclassical limit of quantum integrable systems. We start with an outline of the concept of hybrid dynamical systems. Then we give several examples of hybrid integrable systems. The first series of examples is a class of hybrid integrable systems that appear in the semiclassical limit of quantum spin chains. Then we look at the semiclassical limit of the quantum spin Calogero--Moser system. The result is a hybrid integrable system driven by usual classical Calogero--Moser (CM) dynamics. This system at the fixed point of the multi-time classical dynamics CM system gives commuting spin Hamiltonians of Haldane--Shastry model.

Abstract:We discuss integrable many-body systems in one dimension of Calogero-Moser-Sutherland type, both classical and quantum as well as nonrelativistic and relativistic. In particular, we consider fundamental properties such as integrability, the existence of explicit solutions as well as action-angle and bispectral dualities that relate different such systems. We also briefly discuss the early history of the subject and indicate connections with other integrable systems.

Abstract:The one-dimensional system of particles with a $1/x^2$ repulsive potential is known as the Calogero-Moser system. Its classical version can be generalised by substituting the coupling constants with additional degrees of freedom, which span the $\mathfrak{so}(N)$ or $\mathfrak{su}(N)$ algebra with respect to Poisson brackets. We present the quantum version of this generalized model. As the classical generalization is obtained by a symplectic reduction of a free system, we present a method of obtaining a quantum system along similar lines. The reduction of a free quantum system results in a Hamiltonian, which preserves the differences in dynamics of the classical system depending on the underlying, orthogonal or unitary, symmetry group. The orthogonal system is known to be less repulsive than the unitary one, and the reduced free quantum Hamiltonian manifests this trait through an additional attractive term $\sum_{i<j}\frac{-\hbar^2}{(x_i-x_j)^2}$, which is absent when one performs the straightforward Dirac quantization of the considered system. We present a detailed and rigorous derivation of the generalized quantum Calogero-Moser Hamiltonian, we find the spectra and wavefunctions for the number of particles $N=2,3$, and we diagonalize the Hamiltonian partially for a general value of $N$.

Notes on the degenerate integrability of reduced systems obtained from the master systems of free motion on cotangent bundles of compact Lie groups

Abstract:The reduction of the `master system' of free motion on the cotangent bundle $T^*G$ of a compact, connected and simply connected, semisimple Lie group is considered using the conjugation action of $G$. It is proved that the restriction of the reduced system to the smooth component of the quotient space $T^*G/G$, given by the principal orbit type, inherits the degenerate integrability of the master system. The proof can be generalized easily to other interesting examples of Hamiltonian reduction.

Abstract:Classical integrable Hamiltonian systems generated by elements of the Poisson commuting ring of spectral invariants on rational coadjoint orbits of the loop algebra$$\widetilde{\mathfrak{g}\mathfrak{l}}^{ + *} (2,\mathbb{R})$$ are integrated by separation of variables in the Hamilton-Jacobi equation in hyperellipsoidal coordinates. The canonically quantized systems are then shown to also be completely integrable and separable within the same coordinates. Pairs of second class constraints defining reduced phase spaces are implemented in the quantized systems by choosing one constraint as an invariant, and interpreting the other as determining a quotient (i.e. by treating one as a first class constraint and the other as a gauge condition). Completely integrable, separable systems on spheres and ellipsoids result, but those on ellipsoids require a further modification of order$$\mathcal{O}(\hbar ^2 )$$ in the commuting invariants in order to assure self-adjointness and to recover the Laplacian for the case of free motion. for each case — in the ambient space ℝn, the sphere and the ellipsoid — the Schrödinger equations are completely separated in hyperellipsoidal coordinates, giving equations of generalized Lamé type.

Asymptotic Boundary KZB Operators and Quantum Calogero-Moser Spin Chains

Abstract:Asymptotic boundary KZB equations describe the consistency conditions of degenerations of correlation functions for boundary Wess-Zumino-Witten-Novikov conformal field theory on a cylinder. In the first part of the paper we define asymptotic boundary KZB operators for connected real semisimple Lie groups G with finite center. We prove their main properties algebraically using coordinate versions of Harish-Chandra’s radial component map. We show that their commutativity is governed by a system of equations involving coupled versions of classical dynamical Yang-Baxter equations and reflection equations. We use the coordinate radial components maps to introduce a new class of quantum superintegrable systems, called quantum Calogero-Moser spin chains. A quantum CalogeroMoser spin chain is a mixture of a quantum spin Calogero-Moser system associated to the restricted root system of G and an one-dimensional spin chain with two-sided reflecting boundaries. The asymptotic boundary KZB operators provide explicit expressions for its first order quantum Hamiltonians. We also explicitly describe the Schrödinger operator.

Abstract:In this paper the quantum integrals of the Hamiltonian of the quantum many‐body problem with the interaction potential K/sinh2(x) (Sutherland operator) are constructed as images of higher Casimirs of the Lie algebragl(N) under a certain homomorphism from the center of U (gl(N)) to the algebra of differential operators in N variables. A similar construction applied to the affine gl(N) at the critical level k=−N defines a correspondence between higher Sugawara operators and quantum integrals of the Hamiltonian of the quantum many‐body problem with the potential equal to constant times the Weierstrass function. This allows one to give a new proof of the Olshanetsky–Perelomov theorem stating that this Hamiltonian defines a completely integrable quantum system. A new expression is also given for eigenfunctions of the quantum integrals of the Sutherland operator as traces of intertwining operators between certain representations of gl(N).

Abstract:There is a widespread perception that dynamical evolution of integrable systems should be simpler in a quantifiable sense than the evolution of generic systems, though demonstrating this relation between integrability and reduced complexity in practice has remained elusive. We provide a connection of this sort by constructing a specific matrix in terms of the eigenvectors of a given quantum Hamiltonian. The null eigenvalues of this matrix are in one-to-one correspondence with conserved quantities that have simple locality properties (a hallmark of integrability). The typical magnitude of the eigenvalues, on the other hand, controls an explicit bound on Nielsen’s complexity of the quantum evolution operator, defined in terms of the same locality specifications. We demonstrate how this connection works in a few concrete examples of quantum spin chains that possess diverse arrays of highly structured conservation laws mandated by integrability.
