Abstract:•Patients with schizophrenia have high levels of plasma hsCRP, low levels of IL-10 and high ratio of hsCRP to IL-10;•Ratio of hsCRP to IL-10 is applicable as a biomarker to distinguish schizophrenia from control group;•Plasma hsCRP, IL-10 and their ratio are associated with psychopathology in schizophrenic patients.
