Abstract:The ground surface nuclear magnetic resonance (SNMR) technology is a kind of non-invasive geophysical method, which can directly detect groundwater and has the advantages of high resolution and unique solution. However,SNMR signal is usually nV-level and needs to be amplified with a gain of several ten-thousands in order to be detected.Especially,in the environment of strong electromagnetic interference, the amplifier is extremely easy to saturate. In order to obtain effective ground magnetic resonance signal, this paper analyzes the reason why the amplifier is easy to saturate, puts forward a real-time resisting saturation method based on piecewise amplification technology. The hardware system is designed using an FPGA to control the gain of the programmable amplifier in real time, which realizes the system gain adjusting adaptively. The adjusting rate is up to 50kS/s.In the following stage a 24-bit high speed ADC module is adopted to collect the signal. The actually measured dynamic range of the circuit is 132.44dB.Finally,laboratory test and field experiment were conducted to verify the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method not only inhibits the amplifier saturation, but also improves the signal-to-noise ratio further in complex electromagnetic environment. The method proposed in this paper lays a solid foundation for maximizing effective data acquisition and high-precision inversion interpretation of underground aquifer.
