Abstract:In view of the present situation of the university students' living-area,whose scale rapidly expanding,function continously strengthened and the connotation unceasingly enriched.The author conducted an analysis on the following aspects: the relationship between living and education,the construction,basic elements and functions of living-area.Citing the new campus planning of Nantong University as an example,this work put forward four method: web-connecting paths,multi-(level)dimensions of living-area,setting empty-areas and creating occasions,aimed at solving the core problem of how to embody the concept of modern education and establish good education environment.

Abstract:In the history of university development, the transition from German classic university concept to American modern university concept is a continuous and interactive course. Both of the concepts construct the innovative thinking orientation and behavior model of people from modern universities. Chinese universities are lack of both classic and modern concepts. Therefore, our innovative university construction is facing two major tension forces between classic and modern university concepts and the one between classic university concept and the Chinese traditional culture. Keeping and going beyond classic university concept is the principle to be carried through in the construction of Chinese innovative universities.

Abstract:The Jingshi Daxuetang established in 1898 displayed the form but not the real- ity of a university.The so called"form"refers to the fact that it borrowed relevant system of a modern university and introduced relevant instruction contents from Japan indirectly. While,"reality"so called was still under the influence of traditional ideas,not free from the old-fashioned bureau nature.The phenomenon mentioned above can be reflected in Qinding Jingshi Daxuetang Zhangcheng(regulations of Peking University made in 1902)and Jingshi Daxuetang zhangcheng made in 1904.Not until the appearance of Daxue Ling chiefly made by Cai yuanpei at the beginning of the Republic of China can the university idea of modern u- niversity see the transition from tradition to modern.

Abstract:Since the new century, architectural studies have been confronting by and addressing a set of new issues-namely environmental protection, inheritance of regional culture and rapid urbanization. As the major curriculum of architectural education, architectural design is also need to respond to the above challenges. This article discusses the adjustment and reform that architectural design course, in an age of transition, should be made in clarifying teaching purposes, setting up curriculum design project and training students’ design ability. And, at the end of the article, the teaching practice in the basic design courses at Tsinghua University in recent years is introduced.

Abstract:Since entering the new millennium, people have put forward higher requirements for the practicability and appreciation of architecture. This means that the traditional architecture is bound to usher in the tide of all-round reform. In order to adapt to the changes of the times, architectural design education must actively adjust, change the malpractice of only focusing on internal audit and relatively ignoring the external demand, and take meeting the market demand as the key goal of cultivating students. The author has been involved in architectural design education for many years and has a clear understanding of the current situation of the major. At the same time, he has long been concerned about the changes in the market demand of the major. On this basis, we can analyse the existing problems from the perspective of innovation, and then put forward suggestions to solve the problems combined with the changes of market demand. Finally, this paper looks forward to the future of digital architecture.

Abstract:The modern academy system model is the inevitable trend of the development of colleges and universities, which is widely welcomed by educational circles and points out a new direction and path for top-notch innovative talent cultivation. This study adopts a qualitative research method. Through case studies and semi-structured interviews, it analyses the shortcomings of the university for the cultivation of top innovative talents in the reform of the academy system and proposes measures to improve the cultivation of the Shuyuan system in terms of the objectives, full-time teachers, and research facilities.

Abstract:Related surveys show that at present, with the continuous improvement and optimization of urban development level, the number and scale of construction projects in China are gradually increasing. Based on this, all sectors of society pay more and more attention to architecture and design, which effectively promotes the development and exploration of architecture and design education in colleges and universities. The researchers pointed out that at present, there are still some deficiencies in the teaching process of architecture and design major in colleges and universities in China. Based on this, educators should actively make changes and adjustments in teaching concepts, and then formulate and improve targeted optimization strategies in combination with teaching practice, so as to lay a solid foundation and guarantee for the cultivation of architecture and design platform in China. This study analyzes the teaching situation of architecture and design specialty in China at present, and puts forward corresponding optimization suggestions, aiming at further realizing the reasonable training of architectural design talents in China.

Abstract:Modern information technology is advancing and intervening in every aspect of society at a rapid pace, including the field of education. With the rapid development of multimedia technology, communication technology and network technology, the application of modern information technology in higher education has become more and more extensive. The development, update and application of modern information technology is bound to break the traditional teaching model with teachers as the center and as the main body, so that the role of teachers will be transformed from crammer to leader of learning. Modern information technology has become an important tool for teachers to help students learn. It is not limited by time and space, and provides convenient conditions for students' selective learning and teachers' contact with actual teaching. It is an inevitable trend of education development to promote the modernization of education with information technology and use information technology to change the traditional education model. This paper analyzes the role of modern information technology in higher education teaching, and gives prospects and suggestions on how to better use information technology to carry out education and teaching.
