Abstract:Objective To study the correlation between serum bilirubin and restenosis after stent implantation of coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods Two hundred and fourtynine patients with CHD were divided into Instent-restenosis (ISR) of CHD group and non-ISR of CHD group according to their angiography findings.Theirserum bilirubin levels were compared and correlation between serum bilirubin level and ISR of CHD was studied.Results The serum bilirubin level was significantlylower in ISRof CHD group than in non-ISR group (P ＜ 0.05),in TBIL (9.9322 ± 3.8748μmol/L) to (12.08 ±4.6679μmol/L)、DBIL (3.1744 ± 1.60μmol/L) to (3.8949 ± 1.825μmol/L)、IBIL (6.757 ±2.822μmol/L) to (8.174 ± 3.388μmol/L).Conclusions The serum bilirubinlevel is lower in CHD patients with ISR than in CHD patients with non-ISR,which is an indepent risk factor for ISR of CHD.

Abstract:Objective We sought to assess the relationship between serum total bilirubin level and the degree of coronary artery stenosis on patients with acute myocardial infarction.Methods A total of 291 patients with acute myocardial infarction who had underwent coronary angiography entered the study.The level of serum TBIL,TC,LDL,HDL and TG were collected.We use the stenosis number of involvement coronary and scores to evaluate the severity of coronary artery.Results Serum TBIL in single-vessel disease is higher than double-vessel disease and three-vessel disease,Serum TBIL level was gradually decreased among the three groups.The analysis of variance for inter-group comparison is significantly different(F=3.269,p=0.039),but double-vessel disease and three-vessel have no statistics significance(p=0.746).Analysis of the relationship between three scores and bilirubin,the results show that three scores have no correlation with TBIL.Conclusions Serum TBIL is correlated with the AMI patient with single-vessel disease.

Abstract:Objective - To investigate the relationship between blood lipid levels with severity of coronary artery atherosclerosis in a Chinese population sample.Methods and results - According to coronary angiography results, 363 patients (287 men and 76 women) with coronary artery atherosclerosis were divided into four groups: the single-vessel group (I, n = 125), the double-vessel group (II, n = 113), the triple-vessel group (III, n = 107) and the multivessel group (IV, n = 18). The severity of coronary artery atherosclerosis was quantified with a modified Gensini score on the basis of angiographic imaging. Serum triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) were measured before angiography in all groups. Levels of serum TC, LDL-C and non-HDL-C of the II, III and IV group were significantly higher than those of the I group (4.78 +/- 0.82 mmol/L and 4.87 +/- 1.50 mmol/L and 4.73 +/- 0.99 mmol/L vs. 4.38 +/- 0.93 mmol/L, 2.91 +/- 0.68 mmol/L and 2.74 +/- 1.23 mmol/L and 2.64 +/- 0.84 mmol/L vs. 2.30 +/- 0.77 mmol/L, 3.58 +/- 0.75 mmol/L and 3.59 +/- 1.41 mmol/L and 3.43 +/- 0.94 mmol/L vs. 3.17 +/- 0.91 mmol/L; p < 0.05); the mean levels of TC, LDL-C and non-HDL-C associated positively with the Gensini score.Conclusion - Serum lipid levels correlate positively with the severity of coronary artery atherosclerosis in a Chinese population sample. Patients with higher levels of serum TC, LDL-C and non-HDL-C have more severe coronary atherosclerosis, compared with those with low levels of serum TC, LDL-C and non-HDL-C.

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the relationship of serum bilirubin with coronary atherosclerosis.Methods:A total number of 66 patients who had undergone coronary artery angiography were enrolled into this study.The serum concentration of total bilirubin were detected.Results:The serum levels of TBIL in the lowest quartile of Gensini score group were significantly higher than that in the second,third and highest quartile group(P<0.05).Concluslon:The serum levels of TBIL and IBIL had significant negative correlation with the degree of stenosis.

Abstract:Objective To study the serum bilirubin level and the relationship among bilirubin,lipid comprehensive indexes(LCI) and coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods The patients(n=96) with CHD after coronary arteriography were divided into group 1 [with emergency coronary arteriography due to acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)]and group 2(with selective coronary arteriography due to suspected or diagnosed CHD) according to the symptoms,markers in myocardial injury,electrocardiograms(ECG) and coronary arteriography.The levels of serum total bilirubin(TBIL),indirect bilirubin(IBIL) and direct bilirubin(DBIL),and the ratio of the total cholesterol(TC) to[ high density lipoprotein-cholesterol+TBIL(HDL-C+TBIL) or low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) to(HDL-C+TBIL) ]were calculated.The degree of CHD was reviewed by using Gensini scoring system.Results The level of TBIL in group 1 was higher significantly than that in the patients with Gensini scores over 35 in group 2(P0.05).In group 2 in the patients without taking antihyperlipidemic agents at present the ratio of TC to(HDL-C+TBIL) or LDL-C to(HDL-C+TBIL) in the first,second and third quartile groups was lower significantly than that in the fourth quartile group(P0.05),while the ratio among the first,second and third quartile groups was not different statistically(P0.05).The correlation between Gensini score and TC to(HDL-C+TBIL)(r=0.539,P0.001),and that between Gensini score and LDL-C to(HDL-C+TBIL)(r=0.488,P0.001) were higher than the correlation between traditional LCI and stenosis scores.Conclusion The feedback of TBIL in the patients with acute STEMI is higher.The correlation between Gensini scores and TC to(HDL-C+TBIL) or LDL-C to(HDL-C+TBIL) is higher than that between traditional LCI and CHD.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation of serum total bile acid (TBA) levels with the inflammation grades of liver tissue in chronic liver diseases.Methods Cyclophorase assay was used to detect the serum TBA levels in 172 patients with various chronic liver diseases,and the inflammation grades of liver tissue were determined by liver biopsy.The correlation between serum TBA levels and the inflammation grades of liver tissue was evaluated using SPSS 12.0 software.Results Serum TBA level was positively correlated with the inflammation grade of liver tissue ( r =0.275,P ＜ 0.01 ).The inflammation grade reached G2 when serum TBA was 20 μmol/L.Conclusion Serum TBA level may be useful for evaluating the inflammation grade of liver tissue in chronic liver diseases.

Abstract:Objectives: Previous studies have reported that serum total bilirubin provides some protection against coronary artery disease (CAD); however, the relationship between serum levels of total bilirubin and culprit/target plaque vulnerability in patients with CAD remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the association between total bilirubin and tissue characterization of coronary plaque in patients with CAD. Methods: We enrolled 85 consecutive patients with CAD who underwent coronary angiography and intravascular ultrasound analyses [45 with acute coronary syndrome (ACS); 40 with stable angina pectoris (SAP)], and 45 age-matched participants served as the control group. Serum levels of total bilirubin in all participants were measured. The stability of the coronary plaque was compared between the ACS group and the SAP group, and the relationship between serum levels of total bilirubin and the features of coronary plaque was analyzed. Results: Serum levels of total bilirubin in the ACS group were significantly lower than those in the SAP and control groups (P<0.01). Serum levels of total bilirubin were positively associated with fibrous plaques (r=0.386, P<0.001), whereas they were negatively associated with plaque burden (r=-0.413, P<0.001), lipid plaque (r=-0.419, P<0.001), and remodeling index (r=-0.275, P<0.05). Furthermore, an independent association between serum levels of total bilirubin and lipid-rich plaques (odds ratio, 0.78; 95% confidence interval, 0.64-0.95) was observed. Conclusion: Serum total bilirubin levels were found to be inversely associated with coronary plaque vulnerability, and decreased serum levels of total bilirubin may be an important factor for coronary lipid plaque formation, which contributes to the pathogenesis of CAD.

Abstract:Objective To determine the relationship between serum bilirubin and severity of coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods 9 847 consecutive patients underwent coronary angiography were selected.Taking positive coronary angiography(stenosis of major vessels≥ 50%) as diagnostic standard of CAD,all patients were divided into two groups.CAD severity was assessed by Gensini score and number of arteries(0~3) with >50% stenosis in the angiography.The impact of serum bilirubin on the development of CAD and the severity of atherosclerotic process were observed.Results There were 6 419(65.2%) CAD patients in all 9 847 patients.The levels of total bilirubin(TBIL,P<0.001),direct bilirubin(DBIL,P=0.003),indirect bilirubin(IBIL,P<0.001) were lower in CAD group than those in non-CAD group.Furthermore,the lower TBIL,DBIL and IBIL(r1=-0.202,P1<0.001,r2=-0.213,P2<0.001) were,the more severe coronary artery stenosis was.Besides,Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that TBIL and DBIL were independent protective factors of CAD.Conclusions The incidence of CAD is larger with lower level of serum bilirubin.The lower level of serum bilirubin is,the more severe coronary artery stenosis is;TBIL and DBIL are independent protective factors of CAD.
To Explore the Relationship between Clinical Serum Markers and Intracoronary in-stent Restenosis

Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between serum markers and coronary in-stent restenosis after drug-eluting stent implantation. Methods The study enrolled 214 patients who underwent drug-eluting stent implantation and accepted coronary angiography for recurrent chest pain or routine follow-up.The vascular's diameter stenosis ≥50% was used as a definition of restenosis.Patient's clinical data and risk factors for CHD were collected,and the clinical serum markers were detected.Results Among the 214 patients(278 lesions), restenosis occurred in 90 patients(110 lesions) and the restenosis rate was 42.1%.Compared to non-restenosis group,serum markers such as lipoprotein a,conjugated bilirubin,glutamic pyruvictransaminase,aspartate aminotransferase,cholinesterase and fibrinogen in restenosis group had no significant difference;indexes such as serum LDL/HDL,total bile acid,uric acid,alkaline phosphatase and glutaminoacytransferase levels were higher and serum total bilirubin level was lower in restenosis group than those in non-restenosis group(P<0.05).As a result of multivariate regression analysis,diabetes(OR=1.038),high serum level of LDL/HDL(OR=1.542),high total bile acid(OR=1.197),high urine acid(OR=1.113)and long lesion(OR=1.331) were risk factors contributed to restenosis(P<0.05),while high serum total bilirubin level(OR=0.891)was a protecting factor to restenosis(P<0.05).Conclusions Some clinical serum markers such as total bilirubin,total bile acid,urine acid,and LDL/HDL level are closely correlated with in-stent restenosis after drug-eluting stent implantation in coronary artery.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To observe the difference of serum lipid levels between patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) and those without,in Zhejiang province.METHODS:According to coronary angiogram, 602 patients were divided into two groups as group 1 (vessel stenosis > or =50% luminal diameter narrowing of at least one major coronary artery), group 2 (no vessel stenosis or vessel stenosis <50% luminal diameter narrowing ). Their serum triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), lower density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), higher density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) were measured and analysed.RESULTS:Serum lipid levels of the two groups were all close to the proper scopes of Principles for the prevention of dyslipidemia recommended by dyslipemia group of the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Cardiology. Data also showed that levels of serum TC, LDL-C and non-HDL-C in group 1 were alightly higher than those in group 2 (4.70 mmol/L +/- 1.22 mmol/L vs. 4.49 mmol/L +/- 0.96 mmol/L, 2.63 mmol/L +/- 1.00 mmol/L vs. 2.44 mmol/L+/- 0.77 mmol/L, 3.45 mmol/L+/- 1.14 mmol/L vs. 3.22 mmol/L+/- 0.92 mmol/L, P < 0.05, P< 0.01, respectively).CONCLUSION:Hyperlipidemia was not a inherent characteristic for CHD patients in Zhejiang province.

Abstract:Background: Numerous studies have reported that low calcium intake is related to a higher prevalence of cardiovascular disease. However, the relationship between serum calcium and coronary heart disease is unclear. The purpose of this study was to compare serum calcium levels in patients with coronary heart disease and those in healthy individuals.Methods: This retrospective, case-control study conducted in the People's Republic of China comprised 380 cases and 379 controls. Serum calcium levels, blood lipids, and anthropometric measurements were measured in both groups. The Student's unpaired t-test or Chi-square test was used to compare differences between cases and controls. Pearson's partial correlation coefficient was used to determine the association between serum calcium, blood lipids, and blood pressure in both groups.Results: Our results indicate that the average level of serum calcium in cases was higher than in controls. Serum calcium levels showed no correlation with any parameter except for triglycerides in either group.Conclusion: Overall, these data suggest that serum calcium has no influence on coronary heart disease or triglyceride levels in the general population.

Abstract:Backgrounds: The relation between serum total bilirubin (TBi) and mortality in patients with established coronary artery disease (CAD) remains undefined. We try to investigate the role of the subtypes of CAD in the association.Methods: A total of 3013 patients with angiographically obstructive CAD were enrolled. A retrospective analysis was conducted. Patients were divided into 3 groups as follows: stable CAD (SCAD), unstable angina pectoris (UAP) and acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The predictive values of TBi for 30-day and long-term mortality were assessed using logistic and Cox regression, respectively.Results: Higher initial serum TBi levels were significantly associated with increased risk of short-term mortality (OR 2.35, 95% CI 1.15-4.77) in AMI group. However, the association was absent among patients with SCAD and UAP. Serum TBi was able to independently predict the long-term mortality in SCAD (HR 0.34, 95% CI 0.16-0.70) and UAP (HR 0.49, 95% CI 0.31-0.78) groups. However, there was no significant relation between TBi and long-term mortality in AMI groups.Conclusion: The different subtypes of CAD affected the relation between serum TBi and clinical prognosis. Initial serum TBi was positively correlated with short-term mortality of AMI patients, and negatively correlated with long-term mortality in SCAD or UAP patients. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. The Clinical Significance of the Change of Blood-Lipid in Patients with Hepatitis B-related Cirrhosis.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the relation between the clinical significance and the levels of serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C) and very low density lipoprotein(VLDL-C).Method A retrospective analysis of 120 cases of clinical data of patients with liver cirrhosis was performed,and the clinical data of 30 normal healthy individuals in our outpatient clinic were involved as a control group.Result Compared with normal healthy persons,lipid levels in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis were significantly lower(P0.05).Levels of TC,TG,HDL-C and LDL-C were positive correlated with levels of albumin and cholinesterase(P 0.01).Levels of TC,TG and LDL-C were negative correlated with the levels of prothrombin time and MELD(Model for end-stage liver disease) classification(P0.01).Conclusion The levels of blood lipid in patients with hepatitis B-related cirrhosis are significantly lower compared with normal persons.And levels of some blood lipids are significantly correlated with liver damage in patients with hepatitis B liver cirrhosis.
Serum Albumin, but not Bilirubin, is Associated with Diabetic Chronic Vascular Complications in a Chinese Type 2 Diabetic Population

Abstract:To identify the factors associated with serum total bilirubin (STB) and determine whether STB is independently associated with diabetic retinopathy (DR) or diabetic kidney disease (DKD), 1,665 Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) (248 outpatients newly diagnosed with T2DM [NDM] and 1,417 inpatients previously diagnosed with T2DM [PDM]) were studied. Clinical and biochemical information was collected, and a single nucleotide polymorphism (rs6704078) of the UGT1A1 gene was genotyped in 1,059 individuals. Multiple linear regression showed that STB was associated with haemoglobin concentration, platelet count, and serum triglyceride concentration in NDM and PDM patients, and with serum albumin, duration of diabetes, and smoking in PDM patients. In patients with PDM, multiple logistic regression revealed that serum albumin was associated with DR (odds ratio [OR] = 0.92, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.87–0.96, p = 0.001) and DKD (OR = 0.93, 95% CI: 0.88–0.98, p = 0.005) after adjustment for STB, STB-related factors, and risk factors for DR and DKD. In addition, patients with the T allele of rs6704078 had higher STB (13.2 [10.4–17.9] μmol/L versus 11.8 (9.4–14.8) μmol/L; p < 0.001) and similar risks of DR or DKD to those without the T allele. Thus, serum albumin, but not STB, is associated with DR and DKD.

Abstract:Objectives: The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has caused a large number of deaths. Some patients with severe or critical COVID-19 have been observed to have elevated bilirubin levels. Studies on the association of bilirubin level and mortality in patients with COVID-19 are limited. This study aimed to examine the role of bilirubin levels in COVID-19 severity and mortality. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan, China. Cox regression analyses and logistic regression analyses were conducted to investigate the risks for mortality and disease severity, respectively. Kaplan-Meier analyses with log-rank tests were performed to assess the association between bilirubin level and survival. Results: In total, 1,788 patients with COVID-19 were included in the analysis. 5.8% (4/69) of patients in the elevated serum total bilirubin (STB) group died, compared to 0.6% (11/1,719) of patients in the non-elevated STB group. The median alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activities in the elevated STB group were 29 U/L [interquartile range (IQR): 16-45 U/L] and 22 U/L (IQR: 13-37 U /L), respectively, which were significantly higher than the median ALT (median: 23, IQR: 15-37) and AST (median: 20, IQR: 16-26) activities in the non-elevated STB group (both p < 0.05). Patients with an elevated STB level showed increased mortality [hazard ratio (HR): 9.45, P = 0.002], elevated conjugated bilirubin (CB) levels (HR: 4.38, P = 0.03), and an elevated ratio of CB to unconjugated bilirubin (UCB, CB/UCB) (HR: 2.49, P = 0.01). CB/UCB was positively correlated with disease severity (odds ratio: 2.21, P = 0.01). Conclusions: COVID-19 patients with elevated STB and CB levels had a higher mortality, and CB/UCB was predictive of disease severity and mortality. Thus, it is necessary to pay special attention to COVID-19 patients with elevated bilirubin levels in clinical management.

Abstract:Background: Previous studies have suggested that serum total bilirubin (STB) levels are associated with heightened chronic kidney disease (CKD) and mortality in both the general population and nephropathy patients. However, these results remain inconsistent. The aim of our study was to investigate whether STB was a predictor for progression of CKD and mortality by meta-analysis. Methods: We performed a systematic literature search in PubMed, Web of Science, MEDLINE, EMBASE, Google Scholar, and Cochrane Library's database up to June 30, 2019. Pooled risk ratios (RR) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI) were extracted for the highest vs. lowest category STB levels within the physiological range, and a random-effects model was applied to calculate the dose–response relationships. A pooled hazard ratio (HR) was used to investigate the association between STB levels and mortality in dialysis patients. Results: A total of 16 studies, wherein participants were followed from 21 months to 7 years, were eligible for inclusion in the study. For the categorized STB, 11 studies with 41,188 participants were identified and analyzed. Patients with the highest STB levels were associated with a lower risk of CKD (RR = 0.64; 95% CI 0.55–0.73) compared to those with the lowest STB levels. Furthermore, based on seven studies, a pooled RR of 0.89, 95% CI (0.80–0.99) was observed for the continuous STB levels (per 0.2 mg/dL increase). Four studies that included 51,764 participants illustrated that there was no association between STB levels and all-cause mortality (HR = 0.77; 95% CI 0.42–1.41). A prominent negative linear relationship (X 2 = 14.70; P = 0.0001) was found between STB levels and risk of CKD. Subgroup analyses showed that there were no significant differences in the subgroup adjustment factor except for sample size. Conclusions: Elevated STB levels within a physiological range are associated with lower risk of CKD regardless of the study characteristics and coincide with a liner dose–response relationship. However, whether high STB levels are a protective factor against mortality remains inconclusive. Large-scale randomized controlled trails are needed to target STB levels for predicting renal outcomes.

Abstract:This study developed a population pharmacokinetic model for sodium tanshinone IIA sulfonate (STS) in healthy volunteers and coronary heart disease (CHD) patients in order to identify significant covariates for the pharmacokinetics of STS. Blood samples were obtained by intense sampling approach from 10 healthy volunteers and sparse sampling from 25 CHD patients, and a population pharmacokinetic analysis was performed by nonlinear mixed-effect modeling. The final model was evaluated by bootstrap and visual predictive check. A total of 230 plasma concentrations were included, 137 from healthy volunteers and 93 from CHD patients. It was a two-compartment model with first-order elimination. The typical value of the apparent clearance (CL) of STS in CHD patients with total bilirubin (TBIL) level of 10 μmol(L−1 was 48.7 L(h−1 with inter individual variability of 27.4%, whereas that in healthy volunteers with the same TBIL level was 63.1 L(h−1. Residual variability was described by a proportional error model and estimated at 5.2%. The CL of STS in CHD patients was lower than that in healthy volunteers and decreased when TBIL levels increased. The bootstrap and visual predictive check confirmed the stability and validity of the final model. These results suggested that STS dosage adjustment might be considered based on TBIL levels in CHD patients.

Abstract:Abstract Background To investigate the expression of serum S-adenosylhomocysteine (SAH), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), serum homocysteine (Hcy), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in coronary heart disease and their relationship with the degree of coronary artery disease. Methods A total of 132 patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) from March 2020 to April 2021 were included in this retrospective study. The experimental group was composed of CHD patients, including single-vascular group (46 cases), dual-vascular group (49 cases), and multi-vascular group (37 cases). 145 healthy subjects during the same period for physical examination constituted the control group. Results The levels of SAH, IL-1β, Hcy, TNF-α and BDNF in single-vascular group, dual-vascular group and multi-vascular group were higher than that in control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P < 0.05). The serum levels of SAH, IL-1β, Hcy, TNF-α and BDNF in multi-vascular group were higher than those in single-vascular group and dual-vascular group, and the serum levels of SAH, IL-1β, Hcy, TNF-α and BDNF in dual-vascular group were higher than those in single-vascular group, with statistical significance ( P < 0.05). Kendall’s tau-b correlation showed that the levels of SAH, IL-1β, Hcy, TNF-α and BDNF were positively correlated with the number of stenosis vessels (r = 0.421, 0.533, 0.301, 0.265, 0.678, P = 0.016, 0.009, 0.023, 0.036, 0.004). Conclusion SAH, IL-1β, Hcy, TNF-α and BDNF in serum of patients with CHD can be used as effective biological indicators to monitor the degree of CHD and severity of coronary stenosis.

Abstract:Background Data on the association between serum bilirubin and the risk of stroke are limited and inconclusive. We aimed to evaluate the association between serum bilirubin and the risk of first stroke and to examine any possible effect modifiers in hypertensive patients. Methods and Results Our study was a post hoc analysis of the CSPPT (China Stroke Primary Prevention Trial). A total of 19 906 hypertensive patients were included in the final analysis. Cox proportional hazards models were used to estimate the hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% CIs for the risk of first stroke associated with serum bilirubin levels. The median follow‐up period was 4.5 years. When serum total bilirubin was assessed as tertiles, the adjusted HR of first ischemic stroke for participants in tertile 3 (12.9–34.1 μmol/L) was 0.75 (95% CI, 0.59–0.96), compared with participants in tertile 1 (<9.3 μmol/L). When direct bilirubin was assessed as tertiles, a significantly lower risk of first ischemic stroke was also found in participants in tertile 3 (2.5–24.8 μmol/L) (adjusted HR, 0.77; 95% CI, 0.60–0.98), compared with those in tertile 1 (<1.6 μmol/L). However, there was no significant association between serum total bilirubin (tertile 3 versus 1: adjusted HR, 1.45; 95% CI, 0.89–2.35) or direct bilirubin (tertile 3 versus 1: adjusted HR, 1.27; 95% CI, 0.76–2.11) and first hemorrhagic stroke. Conclusions In this sample of Chinese hypertensive patients, there was a significant inverse association between serum total bilirubin or direct bilirubin and the risk of first ischemic stroke.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlations of dislipidemia with disease stages and HBV-DNA in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB). Methods Serum samples were collected from 142 CHB patients and 44 healthy controls at Ningbo Second Hospital from January 2011 to October 2012,and the levels of TCHO,HDL-C,LDL-C,ApoA1,ApoB,ApoE,lipo and HBV-DNA were detected.The detected data were statistically analyzed. Results Regardless of disease stages and viral loads,the serum ApoE level was higher in CHB patients than that in the healthy controls(P<0.05),while the levels of other indicators were lower(P<0.05).The serum ApoE concentration was correlated positively with disease progression,but the levels of T-CHO,HDL-C,and ApoA1 were correlated negatively with disease stages.The serum ApoA1 concentration was correlated positively with HBV-DNA,but the levels of T-CHO,LDL-C,ApoB and ApoE were correlated negatively with the viral loads. Conclusion Dislipidemia is affected multiple factors such as liver synthesis function and HBV-DNA in CHB patients.
