Abstract:multimedia network teaching breaks in the pattern of traditional education makes a breakthrough the limiting of the teacher and teaching material,extends time and space,and makes students gain knowledge from multi-position,multi-irrigation medium,and deeply administrative levels.It is more advantageous than other teaching methods in making courseware demonstrating,simulating ex-periments,etc.But they consciously or unconsciously move or delete some system files and modify property of some hardware equipment.It results the computer can’t correctly work,student’s workstation often have malfunction,and it causes a lot of trouble to teaching work and administrating network.The paper raises solving measure of some common problems in multimedia network teaching

Abstract:In response to the continuous development of computer science and multimedia technology, many problems related to computer multimedia security are gradually exposed in the development. Through the existence of hidden dangers of computer multimedia security, a computer is constructed based on the network security active defense model. For a multimedia security protection system, select four modules in the system for design and description. Finally, the experimental results show that the system designed in this study can realize the security protection of computer multimedia, and the system is simple to operate and has strong practicability and meets the expected design effect.

Abstract:Multimedia signal processing and Internet technology are popular in our daily lives. However, a lot of security problems have emerged correspondingly, including covert communication using multimedia files, copy-move forgery in digital images and videos, and biometric attacks. To address these problems, many techniques about multimedia information security were proposed by using the methods such as steganography, watermarking, encryption, privacy protection, and deep learning. Nevertheless, there are still some obvious shortcomings in research methodologies. Current studies for multimedia content security are usually based on strict conditions that are nearly impossible to be satisfied in real applications. Furthermore, high computation complexity of the currentmethodsmakes it difficult to handle the big data in the cloud computing environment. All these drawbacks limit the real applications of these techniques for multimedia security, and deserve additional in-depth investigations.

Abstract:Nowadays, multimedia technology is widely applied in everywhere. With increasing availability of spatial data, there is an urgent need to develop way and means for providing easy accessibility and promote spatial data sharing. In this paper, we analyze the multimedia application, discuss the multimedia technology in video and audio. Abstract:As one of a serial of reports,this paper is a survey on multimedia researches and applications in China,2007.Since multimedia is a cross research area,papers about multimedia technology are distributed on various journals.We checked 3 034 papers published on 9 Chinese journals in 2007,from which we have selected 516 related to multimedia technology and applications.Then we made analysis on them and the statistics were compared with those from 2003 to 2006.The catagories have been modified to make the papers selected focus more on multimedia researches.Looking into the data,we can find that digital watermarking,virtual reality,multimedia data retrieval,multicast,streaming media,interactive mode and interface,identification using biometrics earn high attention of researchers in China.Meanwhile,multimedia application systems are diversified and intergraded with daily life gradually.We present here an overview on the progress in multimedia technology in China,2007.This article can be used by researchers as a thoroughly references,and also will be helpful for people in technical planning and management.

Abstract:Multicast is very useful way for large-scale distributing multimedia over the network. It can significantly reduce the bandwidth required to transmit same multimedia over the network to multiple receivers. This property makes multicast competitive and attractive. We propose a simple and efficient scheme in order to resolve the issue mentioned above. In our scheme, the content provider generates two different watermarked packets for even' data packet firstly. Next, he encrypts every two watermarked packets by two different keys, respectively. Finally, he multicasts all of encrypted packets with encrypted keys to intended receivers. In the receiver, only one of every pair of encrypted packets is decrypted relying on the ID stored in tamper-resistant hardware. Every receiver obtains unique watermarked packets because every ID is unique. So, the watermarked packets can be used to trace those receivers who make redistribution of received multimedia content illegally.

Abstract:Security is increasingly becoming an important issue in the design of multimedia applications. However, existing scheduling schemes for real-time multimedia services over heterogeneous networks generally do not take into account security requirements when making control decisions. In this paper, we develop and evaluate a security-aware multimedia scheduling scheme in heterogeneous environment. Firstly, we exploit a multimedia transmission model in the context of heterogeneous wireless networks. Then, a security-aware scheduling scheme is proposed by taking into account applications' timing and security requirements in addition to precedence constraints. Furthermore, the proposed scheme is applied to heuristically find resource allocations, which maximize the quality of security and the probability of meeting deadlines for all the multimedia applications. Additionally, extensive experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Abstract:Abstract The emergence of the Internet has had a huge impact on people’s lives and work. In the 21st century, human society has fully entered the Internet age. Through the Internet, people can realize zero-distance, data transmission and information sharing without time and space restrictions. The network has become an important tool for modern people to obtain information, disseminate and share information, and has been applied to almost all fields, from scientific research to astronomy, national defense, medical care, small to home entertainment, production office, web browsing must use the network. However, network security issues have always restricted the application of the network. The network has the characteristics of openness, complexity and speciality. Some lawless elements will steal other people’s information and finance through cyber attacks. The network security problem cannot be ignored. It is important to do a multi-dimensional dynamic risk assessment of network security. This paper will conduct research and analysis on the key technologies of network security multi-dimensional dynamic risk assessment.

Abstract:Multimedia applications have been exploding with the development of various media source coding standards, channel coding techniques, cross-layer techniques and recent advances of social media networks. The popularity and diversity of multimedia applications invokes new challenges in delivering the media content to users. This thesis addresses several essential challenges in multimedia communication, including transmission, authentication and access control issues for multimedia applications. With the popularity of wireless network and mobile devices, in many multimedia applications it is common to deliver the multimedia content to various users with heterogeneous network bandwidth and media consumption environments, aspects of which include display size, computation capacity etc. It is desired that each user can consume media content compatible with its heterogeneous environment to achieve optimal quality of service. Because of the special characteristics of multimedia content such as the unequal importance of the encoded media slices and the special requirements of transmission over heterogeneous networks, traditional data based broadcasting and multicasting schemes are no longer capable to address these emerging challenges. In another aspect, the security issues in media communication are becoming increasingly important, especially on wireless networks, where it is less expensive for malicious intruders to manipulate the media content, because of special features of wireless networks such as limited bandwidth, time-varying error prone channel status and open-to-air access mode. In this paper, by security, we mean authentication of the multimedia content to prevent malicious attacks on multimedia content and access control to prevent illegal access of multimedia content. There is a pressing need to develop efficient media security schemes along with multimedia transmission schemes so that the multimedia communication is not impaired by malicious attacks or unauthorized access. This thesis consists of three studies. In the first study, we present a joint designed transmission-authentication system named Joint Media Error and Authenticity Protection (JMEAP) that is able to achieve both reliable and secure transmission of media content over heterogeneous networks. We jointly consider the three major components of the media transmission system: media source coding, error protection channel coding and media authentication in the system. With a prior knowledge of these components, we can fully utilize the inherent correlation between them and achieve optimal rate allocation between these components. We have studied the characteristics of JPEG2000 encoded image and H.264/AVC video clips and applied the framework on these multimedia formats. In the second study, we present a study on a network coding based multirate multicasting scheme that is capable of delivering layered encoded multimedia content to various users using network coding. We propose an efficient forward-backward protocol for the nodes in the transmission system to efficiently collaborate with each other to deliver proper network coded packets to receivers to achieve near optimal performance. In the third study, we present a collusion resilient access control scheme for multi-dimension scalable multimedia. The access control scheme consists of two components, a multiple dimensional key generation scheme and an attribute-based key distribution scheme. The multimedia content can be scalable encoded single format media such as a H.264/SVC encoded video stream or a mixture of several possible scalable media formats, such as webpage content or the social media content. Based on the theory of partial ordered set (poset), we have built an efficient key generation scheme to reduce the number of keys to deliver to users, while following the key derivation requirements for scalable encoded multimedia. Based on attribute property based encryption, we have built a collusion resistant key distribution scheme to deliver the user key to various users.

Abstract:Mobile Social Networks (MSN) are attractive applications which enable users to share data with a group of friends and stay connected. WeChat, QQ are among the most popular applications of MSNs where personal multimedia files are shared among group contacts. However, the security risks accompanying such developments have raised concerns in people. The providers typically store users’ data, and offer few options for the users to custom and manage the dissipation of their data over the network. In this paper, we design a data sharing framework in which individuals retain ownership of their data. The scheme gives users flexible and granular access control over their data, and more importantly it provides protection from the untrusted data provider server. Experiments show the efficiency of our scheme.

Abstract:Mobile devices such as smartphones are widely deployed in the world, and many people use them to download/upload media such as video and pictures to remote servers. On the other hand, a mobile device has limited resources, and some media processing tasks must be migrated to the media cloud for further processing. However, a significant question is, can mobile users trust the media services provided by the media cloud service providers? Many traditional security approaches are proposed to secure the data exchange between mobile users and the media cloud. However, first, because multimedia such as video is large-sized data, and mobile devices have limited capability to process media data, it is important to design a lightweight security method; second, uploading and downloading multi-resolution images/videos make it difficult for the traditional security methods to ensure security for users of the media cloud. Third, the error-prone wireless environment can cause failure of security protection such as authentication. To address the above challenges, in this article, we propose to use both secure sharing and watermarking schemes to protect user's data in the media cloud. The secure sharing scheme allows users to upload multiple data pieces to different clouds, making it impossible to derive the whole information from any one cloud. In addition, the proposed scalable watermarking algorithm can be used for authentications between personal mobile users and the media cloud. Furthermore, we introduce a new solution to resist multimedia transmission errors through a joint design of watermarking and Reed- Solomon codes. Our studies show that the proposed approach not only achieves good security performance, but also can enhance media quality and reduce transmission overhead.

Abstract:Multimedia communication network has gained remarkable popularity by a wide spectrum of users nowadays. It is easier that the potential threats conceal within the large-scale net flow of multimedia communication traffic. Once vulnerability exploitation occurs, the latent risk will be brought to the surface, causing a series of safety problems. Thus, the vulnerability analysis and threat prediction are becoming critical issues. Recently years, many investigations have been made. However, they are not sufficient. To provide a comprehensive view of the threat scenario and present a quantitative risk-aware approach, we propose a novel method for threat identification, and further we build a quantitative security risk model with it. Actually, two algorithms are proposed, namely dynamic Bayesian attack graph based threat prediction algorithm, and threat prediction based security risk quantification algorithm. The first algorithm aims to provide full prediction information with threat scenario. The second algorithm quantifies the threat in the first algorithm into the security risk from two levels: host and network. The examples indicate that our method is feasible and scalable, which enables a manager to quantify the risks of any identified threat or ongoing attack and to recognize the vulnerable multimedia devices to keep secure multimedia communication.

Abstract:with the prosperity of multimedia services over mobile network, more and more multimedia content could be downloaded or played, but no good mechanism is applied to protect intellectual properties of content producers and authors. We propose a system to provide multimedia downloading service and implement digital rights management. Experimental results show that our system achieve strong encryption and high level of security while keeping computational efficiency.

Abstract:The advances in information technology, computational capability, and communication networks have enabled large-scale data collection and distribution of vast amounts of multimedia data available to consumer and enterprise applications. With the proliferation of multimedia data and ever-growing requests for multimedia applications, reliable and efficient tools and techniques are urgently sought for multimedia content analysis and retrieval, as well as secure media streaming, distribution or communication. Though many research efforts have been devoted to these aspects, it is still far from maturity and there exist many open issues. In this paper, an overview of the challenges and issues as well as future trends on multimedia content access and distribution will be discussed. The focuses include: (i) how to bridge the gaps between the semantic meaning and low-level media characteristics; (ii) how to handle user perception subjectivity problem; (iii) how to provide multimedia network communication support for media streaming and P2P (peer-to-peer) media distribution; and (iv) how to ensure various aspects of secure media, including acquisition, processing, storage, and communication.
