Abstract:Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) has been shown to be the most sensitive and specific modality in staging of upper gastrointestinal cancers. However, the accuracy of EUS has recently been questioned and the role of EUS for staging of gastric adenocarcinoma remains controversial. The aim of this study was thus to assess the accuracy of EUS in staging gastric adenocarcinoma and to correlate EUS staging with overall survival.
