Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
Abstract:Introduction: Postoperative bleeding is a major complication of gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), occurring in 0 to 11.3% of cases. To reduce the incidence of postoperative bleeding, second-look endoscopy (SLE) is routinely performed the day after ESD. However, the effectiveness of SLE in the prevention of post-ESD bleeding remains controversial.
