Abstract:We find that the SU(2)(q) coherent state and SU(1,1)(q) coherent state in the sense of statistics can be classified as p-binomial state and q-negative binomial state, respectively. Their relations with the q-Euler distribution and q-Heine distribution are discussed.

Abstract:By choosing a suitable single-mode boson realization of SU(1,1) algebra we show that the associated SU(1,1) coherent state can be directly reformed as a negative binomial state. The q-deformed negative binomial state is introduced, and the relationship between this state and the SUq(1,1) coherent state is also demonstrated.

Abstract:Using the q analog of the Holstein-Primakoff boson realization of the su(2) generators, we show that a type of q-deformed binomial state that corresponds to the Heine distribution can be identified as an su(2${)}_{\mathit{q}}$ coherent state. This fact is a q extension of the fact that the ordinary binomial state is a particular su(2) coherent state when the Holstein-Primakoff transformation is employed.

Abstract:Entangled SU(2) and SU(1,1) coherent states are developed as superpositions of multiparticle SU(2) and SU(1,1) coherent states. In certain cases, these are coherent states with respect to generalized su(2) and su(1,1) generators, and multiparticle parity states arise as a special case. As a special example of entangled SU(2) coherent states, entangled binomial states are introduced and these entangled binomial states enable the contraction from entangled SU(2) coherent states to entangled harmonic oscillator coherent states. Entangled SU(2) coherent states are discussed in the context of pairs of qubits. We also introduce the entangled negative binomial states and entangled squeezed states as examples of entangled SU(1,1) coherent states. A method for generating the entangled SU(2) and SU(1,1) coherent states is discussed and degrees of entanglement calculated. Two types of SU(1,1) coherent states are discussed in each case: Perelomov coherent states and Barut-Girardello coherent states.

Abstract:We study the fidelity susceptibility of two SU(2)-invariant reduced density matrices. Due to the commuting property of these matrices, analytical results for reduced fidelity susceptibility are obtained and can be applied to study quantum phase transitions in SU(2)-invariant systems. As an example, we analyze the quantum criticality of the spin-1 bilinear-biquadratic model via the fidelity approach.

Abstract:In this paper, von Neumann entropy is used to study three kinds of bipartite qutrit model, which represent SU(3) strongly correlated model, three-level Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model, and spin-1 model. Abstract:We study the statistical properties in the superpositions of SU(1,1) coherent states ｜ζ，k〉and ｜ζ，k〉. The even SU(1,1) coherent state (｜ζ，1/4〉) and odd SU(1,1) coherent state (｜ζ，3/4〉) correspond to squeezed vacuum state and squeezed one photon number state, respectively. It is shown that the superposed states can exhibit much stronger squeezing and antibunching for the suitable phase of ζ and the relative phase in superposition. We also propose a method of generating such superposed states.

Abstract:The mathematical and quantum properties of two kinds of quantum states generated by repeated application of the q-analogue bosom inverse operators on the q-coherent state were discussed. It is found that the excited states of q-coherent state show anti-bunching effect but no squeezing. For the photon-depleted states of q-coherent state there is squeezing but no anti-bunching for all finite q-values.

Abstract:A one-dimensional model for two-band SU(2) bosons with isospin exchange interaction is solved by means of the nested Bethe-ansatz method. The features of the ground state and low-lying excitation state are discussed explicitly by numerical and analytical method. The thermodynamics of the system is analyzed by means of the thermodynamic Bethe-ansatz method, and some physical quantities, such as magnetization, specific heat, etc. are obtained explicitly in some special cases.

Abstract:We introduce new kinds of states of quantized radiation fields, which are the superpositions of negative binomial states. They exhibit remarkable nonclassical properties and reduce to Schrodinger cat states in a certain limit.The algebras involved in the even and odd negative binomial states turn out to be generally deformed oscillator algebras.It is found that the even and odd negative binomial states satisfy the same eigenvalue equation with the same eigenvalue and they can be viewed as two-photon nonlinear coherent states. Two methods of generating such the states are proposed.``

Abstract:In this paper, the quantum statistical properties of a class of superposed q-deformed generalized coherent states |ψ>=a|β>+beiφ|βeiδ> are studied. The results show that the superposition of q-deformed coherent generalized states generally exhibits squeezing and anti-bunching effects. The change of the phase difference between two generalized coherent states, the phase difference between two superposition coefficients, and both the amplitude and phase of the inner product of two generalized coherent states play important roles in squeezing effect and anti-bunching effect.

Abstract:We study the nonclassical properties and algebraic characteristics of the negative binomial states introduced by Barnett recently. The ladder operator formalism and displacement operator formalism of the negative binomial states are found and the algebra involved turns out to be the SU(1,1) Lie algebra via the generalized Holstein-Primarkoff realization. These states are essentially Perelomov's SU(1,1) coherent states. We reveal their connection with the geometric states and find that they are excited geometric states. As intermediate states, they interpolate between the number states and geometric states. We also point out that they can be recognized as the nonlinear coherent states. Their nonclassical properties, such as sub-Poissonian distribution and squeezing effect are discussed. The quasiprobability distributions in phase space, namely the Q and Wigner functions, are studied in detail. Abstract:The properties of the even and odd negative binomial states are investigated. Mainly we concentrate on the statistical properties for such states and we consider the squeezing phenomenon by examining the variation in the quadrature variances. Using the Pegg–Barnett formalism of phase operator, the phase probability distributions of the states are discussed, and also the phase and number squeezing with different parameters are studied. The numerical computation results show that the phase probability distributions for the even and odd NBSs can clearly exhibit the different features of quantum effects.

Abstract:On the basis of Bethe ansatz solution of two-component bosons with SU(2) symmetry and δ-function interaction in one dimension, we study the thermodynamics of the system at finite temperature by using the strategy of thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA). It is shown that the ground state is an isospin "ferromagnetic" state by the method of TBA, and at high temperature the magnetic property is dominated by Curie's law. We obtain the exact result of specific heat and entropy in strong coupling limit which scales like T at low temperature. While in weak coupling limit, it is found there is still no Bose-Einstein Condensation (BEC) in such 1D system.

Abstract:Combining quantum mechanics and the normal distribution in statistics we study the coherent state from the point of view of statistics and by using the integration method within ordered product of operators. We find that the pure coherent state |z >z| exhibits a bivariate normal distribution of randon variables in (q,p) phase space, z=(q+ip)/√2, with a real k-parameter which is related to the quantization scheme, and the correlation coefficient is ik. For k=±1, |z >z| respectively is arranged as P-ordering (all P stand on the left of all Q) and Q-ordering (all Q stand on the left of all P), while in the case of k=0, |z >z| is arranged as the Weyl-ordering. In the cases of P-ordering and Q-ordering, in the classical correspondence function of |z >z||z=(q+ip)/√2 the bivariates (q,p) are correlated, only in the case of Weyl correspondece, (q,p) are independent. In other words, the Weyl ordering of operators is liable to decouple the correlation in bivariates.

Abstract:Some time ago, Rideau and Winternitz introduced a realization of the quantum algebra su_q(2) on a real two-dimensional sphere, or a real plane, and constructed a basis for its representations in terms of q-special functions, which can be expressed in terms of q-Vilenkin functions. In their study, the values of q were implicitly restricted to q in R^+. In the present paper, we extend their work to the case of generic values of q in S^1 (i.e., q values different from a root of unity). In addition, we unitarize the representations for both types of q values, q in R^+ and generic q in S^1, by determining some appropriate scalar products.
