Abstract:Single-crystalline Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets with a thickness less than 10 nm and a lateral size larger than 20 μm have successfully synthesized via a surfactant-free hydrothermal route by employing K2Ti6O13 nanofibers prepared in advance as titanium sources. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution TEM, and selected area electron diffraction, respectively. The results revealed that the single-crystalline Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets are dominated with (010) facets. In general, the slow exfoliation of TiO6 octahedron lamella and the fast combination of the subnitrate radicals with the Bi3+ ions situated in (010) planes induce the crystallization of the single-crystalline Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets. In addition, the as-prepared single-crystalline Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets propose a narrowed gap of ca. 2.41 eV and after modified by Pt-quantum-dots exhibit excellent visible-light photocatalytic activity. It is believed that the surfactant-free in the hydrothermal system induce more amount of surface state responsible for the narrowed gap and the excellent visible-light photocatalytic activity.
Self-templated Fabrication of Porous Bi5O7I Nanosheets for Enhanced Visible Light CO2 Photoreduction

Abstract:Photocatalytic CO2 reduction is limited by high reaction barriers of CO2 activation, resulting in low conversion efficiency of light energy to chemical energy, especially within the visible light range. To enhance the performance of photocatalytic CO2 reduction, the rational design of the chemical environment on the catalyst surface is conducive to the activation of reactive molecules. Here, we prepared porous Bi5O7I with surface charge-rich Bi(3−x)+ ions by template calcination. The experimental results show that Bi ions accumulated charges on the surface of Bi5O7I have superior adsorption and activation abilities for CO2 molecules than the precursor BiOIO3. Besides, Bi5O7I exhibits better charge transfer capability and roughly double the catalytic activity under visible light irradiation for CO production. This work developed a new facile approach for fabrication of high-performance photocatalysts and provided new insight on the mechanism of CO2 photoreduction.

Abstract:Crystalline (BiO)2CO3 nanosheets were synthesized by a rapid one-step reaction via microwave-assisted hydrothermal method using urea as a morphology mediator and carbon source. The hydrothermal method combined with microwave heating allowed to obtain sheet-like (BiO)2CO3 particles at shorter reaction times when compared to the conventional heating hydrothermal method. The photocatalytic activity of the as prepared samples was evaluated towards degradation of Ponceau 4R (C.I. 16255) under artificial UV-Vis light irradiation. The results show that good photocatalytic efficiency can be obtained for powders prepared with reaction times as low as 2 minutes.

Abstract:AbstractGraphitic carbon nitride (CN), as a nonmetallic photocatalyst, has gained considerable attention for its cost‐effectiveness and environmentally friendly nature in catalyzing solar‐driven CO2 conversion into valuable products. However, the photocatalytic efficiency of CO2 reduction with CN remains low, accompanied by challenges in achieving desirable product selectivity. To address these limitations, a two‐step hydrothermal‐calcination tandem synthesis strategy is presented, introducing carbon quantum dots (CQDs) into CN and forming ultra‐thin CQD/CN nanosheets. The integration of CQDs induces a distinct work function with CN, creating a robust interface electric field after the combination. This electric field facilitates the accumulation of photoelectrons in the CQDs region, providing an abundant source of reduced electrons for the photocatalytic process. Remarkably, the CQD/CN nanosheets exhibit an average CO yield of 120 µmol g−1, showcasing an outstanding CO selectivity of 92.8%. The discovery in the work not only presents an innovative pathway for the development of high‐performance photocatalysts grounded in non‐metallic CN materials employing CQDs but also opens new avenues for versatile application prospects in environmental protection and sustainable cleaning energy.

Abstract:BiOBr nanosheets were synthesized through an ultrafast hydrolysis precipitation method, which significantly reduced energy consumption and time cost compared to traditional hydrothermal synthesis methods. Mover, by adjusting the addition amount of KOH in the synthesis process, BiOBr can grow towards more complex crystal structure. In this paper, BiOBr nanosheets were synthesized through a novel hydrolysis precipitation method, which significantly reduced energy consumption and time cost compared to traditional hydrothermal synthesis methods. The subjected hydrothermal and high‐temperature calcination process promote the generation of surface oxygen vacancies, which inhibited the recombination of photogenerated electron hole pairs and improve the photocatalytic performance of BiOBr. Additionally, by adjusting the addition amount of KOH in the synthesis process, BiOBr can grow towards more complex crystal structure, which also provides a new path for the fabrication of 2D materials.

Engineering Co Single Atoms in Ultrathin BiOCl Nanosheets for Boosted CO2 Photoreduction

Abstract:Engineering single Co atoms in ultrathin single‐crystal BiOCl nanosheets for boosted CO2 photoreduction is reported. The engineered Co atoms significantly modulate the distribution of photogenerated charges on the catalyst surface, enhancing both CO2 adsorption and activation. Such designed photocatalyst achieve a CO formation rate of 183.9 μmol g−1 h−1 without any sacrificial agents, surpassing most reported Bi‐based photocatalysts to date. Despite the development of a range of photocatalysts for CO2 reduction, the practical applications are significantly limited by low conversion efficiencies and their reliance on sacrificial agents, which are rooted in thermodynamic and kinetic challenges related to CO2 conversion. Here, the engineering of Co single atoms in ultrathin single‐crystal BiOCl nanosheets for boosted photocatalytic CO2 reduction is reported. The engineering of Co atoms modulates the distribution of photogenerated charges at the catalyst surface, controlling key surface reaction dynamics and suppressing surface electron‐hole recombination. This modulation also improves light absorption and enhances CO2 adsorption and activation, leading to more efficient surface reactions. Notably, CO2 is stably adsorbed onto the (001) face of BiOCl through a Bi‐O‐C(= O)‐Co‐O coordination unit, which lowers the activation energy for CO2 reduction and reduces the formation energy of COOH− intermediates. As a result, the BiOCl photocatalysts achieve a CO formation rate of 183.9 μmol g−1 h−1, when irradiated with a 300 W Xe lamp without cocatalysts or sacrificial agents. It represents an ≈13‐fold increase compared to that of pristine BiOCl, and surpasses most reported Bi‐based photocatalysts to date. Current work provides valuable insights into engineering of single atoms for developing advanced CO2‐reduction photocatalysts.

Abstract:Efficient photocatalytic conversion of CO2 into energy-rich chemicals is of great significance for both environmental conservation and alleviating the energy crisis. However, convenient synthesis of low-cost, durable and eco-friendly photocatalysts with a novel morphology or structure for highly selective photocatalytic CO2 reduction remains a challenge. Herein, Co3O4 hierarchical nanosheets were synthesized by calcination of novel cobalt metal-organic framework (MOF) nanosheets prepared by a facile oil bath method. In such Co MOF nanosheets, 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid was chosen as the organic linker, rather than the commonly used 2-methylimidazole for ZIF-67. After thermal treatment in air, the obtained Co3O4 inherited the 2D morphology of its MOF template and evolved into hierarchical nanosheets which were composed of small nanoparticles. Benefiting from the large surface area, abundant mesoporous structure and good capability towards the separation and transfer of photo-generated charge carriers induced by less internal oxygen vacancies, the Co3O4 hierarchical nanosheets showed a CO generation rate of 39.70 μmol h-1 in visible-light photocatalytic CO2 reduction, which was superior to that of Co3O4 nanoparticles and commercial Co3O4. What's more, a CO selectivity of 77.3% was achieved, which is among the highest of cobalt-based spinel oxide photocatalysts for CO2 conversion.
Sulfur-doped Bi2O2CO3 nanosheet for enhanced visible-light-driven photocatalytic CO2 reduction to CO with ultra-high selectivity

Abstract:The photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) has emerged as a compelling strategy for the conversion of renewable energy. However, the expeditious recombination of photogenerated charge carriers and the inadequate light absorption capabilities are currently predominant challenges. Herein, we developed a facile hydrothermal approach to synthesize a sulfur doped Bi2O2CO3 nanosheet with a tunable energy band structure designed to enhance visible light absorption. Our findings indicate that the incorporation of sulfur into the catalytic sites induces an electron sink effect, significantly improving the separation efficiency of photogenerated charge carriers. Consequently, this sulfur-doped Bi2O2CO3 catalyst exhibits a remarkable carbon monoxide (CO) yield of 16.64 μmol gcat-1 h-1 with nearly 100 % selectivity under illumination ranging from 420 to 780 nm. Through in-situ characterization techniques and theoretical calculations, it was revealed that sulfur-coordinated bismuth sites greatly enhance CO2 adsorption and decrease the energy barrier for critical intermediates formation (*COOH), thus selectively driving the reaction towards CO production. This work not only advances our understanding of mechanisms underlying photocatalytic reduction of CO2 on sulfur-doped bismuth-based catalysts but also sets a precedent for developing sophisticated photocatalytic systems for enhanced photoreduction reactions.

Abstract:Solar-driven CO2 with H2O conversion into valuable chemical fuels has attracted considerable attention. However, the low separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers and deficient surface-active sites on catalysts result in low CO2 reduction activity. Herein, the bulk Bi2O2(OH)(NO3) material was exfoliated to atomically thin nanosheets for shortening the migration distance of photoinduced carriers and enlarging the specific surface area. Photoreduction CO2 test results showed that the CO yield of nanosheets could be enhanced up to nearly six times compared to that of the bulk catalyst. Moreover, a series of ultrathin Bi2O2(OH)1+x (NO3)1–x nanosheets were constructed based on the surface regulation of the OH– concentration on ultrathin nanosheets. The optimized catalyst had an elevated CO yield of 16.7 μmol/g after irradiation for 3 h, about 10 times higher than that of the bulk catalyst. Further theoretical calculations revealed that the superficial NO3 – has stronger charge accumulation/depletion behavior with the adjacent Bi atom than surface OH–, conducive to the transfer of photogenerated charge from the bulk phase to the catalyst surface. This work may provide a powerful strategy for the design of a surface-controlled 2D ultrathin photocatalyst for efficient CO2 reduction.

In Situ Growth of Co 2 P Nanocrystal on g-C 3 N 4 for Efficient and Stable Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

Abstract:Recently, Co2P has been deemed to be a low-cost and fruitful activator for promoting photocatalytic hydrogen (H2) production activity for graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4). Nevertheless, almost all reported synthesis methods undergo complex processes and the emission of highly toxic phosphorus gas (PH3). Herein, we present a plain and green method to prepare Co2P/g-C3N4 composite through in-situ synthesizing Co2P nanocrystal on g-C3N4 nanosheet under coheating treatment. The Co2P/g-C3N4 composite is demonstrated to show chemical bonding between Co2P and g-C3N4 nanosheet. Interestingly, Co2P/g-C3N4 presents 6.3 times enhanced photocatalytic H2 yield of 4752 μmol/g/h than that for an individual g-C3N4 nanosheet, resulting from an improvement in generating and separating electron and hole pairs by the chemical bonding between Co2P and g-C3N4 nanosheet. Notably, the performance exceeds a majority of nonmetal cocatalyst decorated g-C3N4 nanosheets. More importantly, this composite photocatalyst shows an excellent cycle stability with only 0.4% decrease in hydrogen evolution rate after four cycles. This article delivers a plain means to synthesize Co2P/g-C3N4 composite photocatalyst, easily expanding to other transition metal phosphides.

"Alternated Cooling and Heating" Strategy Enables Rapid Fabrication of Highly-Crystalline G-C3n4 Nanosheets for Efficient Photocatalytic Water Purification under Visible Light Irradiation

Abstract:Highly-crystalline 2-dimensional (2D) graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) nanosheets with low structural imperfection usually possess high photocatalytic activity that benefits from the suppressed electron ehole recombination. However, the conventional exfoliation strategy is incapable for fast and clean preparation of such highly-quality g-C3N4 nanosheets from their bulk-type counterparts. Herein, highly-crystalline few-layer g-C3N4 nanosheets were synthesized only within 10 min by judiciously combining flash freezing and microwave-assisted thermo-exfoliation. Physicochemical characterization showed the ultrathin g-C3N4 nanosheets had high crystallinity, narrowed band gap (2.62 eV), enlarged specific surface area (88.59m(2)/g) and enhanced electron transport ability. The quasi-2D few-layer g-C3N4 nanosheets were more efficient than bulk g-C3N4 in photocatalytic water purification and disinfection, as evidenced by 3-fold enhancement in humic acid photodegradation and fast water disinfection against Escherichia coli under visible-light irradiation. Such improvements were mainly attributed to the reduction of structural defects and enrichment of exposed active sites, which together led to efficient self-suppression of electronehole recombination. Bi2MoO6 Embedded in 3D Porous N,O-Doped Carbon Nanosheets for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

Abstract:Artificial photosynthesis is promising to convert solar energy and CO2 into valuable chemicals, and to alleviate the problems of the greenhouse effect and the climate change crisis. Here, we fabricated a novel photocatalyst by directly growing Bi2MoO6 nanosheets on three-dimensional (3D) N,O-doped carbon (NO-C). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) show that the designed photocatalyst ensured the close contact between Bi2MoO6 and NO-C, and reduced the stacking of the NO-C layers to provide abundant channels for the diffusion of CO2, while NO-C can allow for fast electron transfer. The charge transfer in this composite was determined to follow a step-scheme mechanism, which not only facilitates the separation of charge carriers but also retains a strong redox capability. Benefiting from this unique 3D structure and the synergistic effect, BMO/NO-C showed excellent performance in photocatalytic CO2 reductions. The yields of the best BMO/NO-C catalysts for CH4 and CO were 9.14 and 14.49 μmol g−1 h−1, respectively. This work provides new insights into constructing step-scheme photocatalytic systems with the 3D nanostructures.

Abstract:Novel N-doped (BiO)(2)CO3 hierarchical microspheres (N-BOC) were fabricated by a facile one-pot template free method on the basis of hydrothermal treatment of bismuth citrate and urea in water for the first time. The N-BOC sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, N-2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, and Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy. The N-BOC was constructed by the self-assembly of single-crystalline nanosheets. The aggregation of nanosheets led to the formation of hierarchical framework with mesopores, which is favorable for efficient transport of reaction molecules and harvesting of photoenergy. Due to the in situ doped nitrogen substituting for oxygen in the lattice of (BiO)(2)CO3, the band gap of N-BOC was reduced from 3.4 to 2.5 eV, making N-BOC visible light active. The N-BOC exhibited not only excellent visible light photocatalytic activity, but also high photochemical stability and durability during repeated and long-term photocatalytic removal of NO in air due to the special hierarchical structure. This work demonstrates that the facile fabrication method for N-BOC combined with the associated outstanding visible light photocatalytic performance could provide new insights into the morphology-controlled fabrication of nanostructured photocatalytic materials for environmental pollution control.
Covalently Bonded Bi2O3 Nanosheet/Bi2WO6 Network Heterostructures for Efficient Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

Abstract:The highly efficient spatial carrier separation and abundant active sites are significant for CO2 photocatalytic reduction efficiency. Herein, an ultrathin Bi2O3 nanosheet/Bi2WO6 network heterostructure is successfully synthesized via a covalently bonded epitaxial growth strategy. Due to cosharing of the Bi-O tetrahedron between Bi2O3 and Bi2WO6, this heterostructure exhibits a compact interface, which can provide a highway for the charge transfer and then boost their separation. Moreover, the pores generated from the hierarchical structure afford abundant exposed photocatalytic active sites. Thus, the optimal Bi2O3/Bi2WO6 heterostructure (BOBWO-12) shows superior photocatalytic performance for CO2 reduction with an ultrahigh selectivity as well as the removal of RhB. Notably, the photocatalytic CO generation rate over BOBWO-12 reaches up to 17.39 mu mol.g(-1).h(-1), which is 18.0 and 4.2 times higher than that of bulk-Bi2WO6 and Bi2WO6 nanosheets, respectively, and the selectivity is of about 95.4%. Moreover, the Bi2O3/Bi2WO6 heterostructure also exhibits improved long-term stability, resulting from the firm heterointerface. Our studies present a conventient avenue to construct a high-efficiency heterostructure photocatalyst with a firm interface by the covalently bonded epitaxial growth method for CO2 reduction.
Facile synthesis of BiFeO 3 nanosheets with enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity

Abstract:Single-crystalline BiFeO 3 nanosheets with rectangular shape and exposed {101} facets were successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method with low reaction temperature and short time (130 °C for 14 h). The process has advantages of energy saving, template and surfactant free, and no additional equipment in required. The average side lengths of BiFeO 3 nanosheets are around 140 and 230 nm, and thickness is about 30 nm. As a result, the BiFeO 3 nanosheets photocatalyst reaches as high as 89% of photodegradation efficiency of rhodamine B under 180 min visible light irradiation, which is about 4.68 and 2.41 times that of BiFeO 3 powders prepared by solid-state reaction and sol–gel process respectively. The BiFeO 3 nanosheets photocatalyst also exhibits a high reusability and storage stability for the photodegradation reaction. The internal electric fields produced due to the ferroelectric nature are perpendicular to the surfaces of BiFeO 3 nanosheets, which can promote the separation efficiency of photoinduced charges along [101] direction. While the nanoscale thickness structure can shorten the separation distance of photoinduced charges along [101] direction. These two factors all greatly suppress the recombination rate of e − /h + pairs, then leading to the improved photocatalytic kinetics of BiFeO 3 nanosheets.

Abstract:The flower-like, pinon-like and faceted nanoplates (BiO)2CO3 micro/nanostructures were fabricated by a one-pot template-free method based on hydrothermal treatment of the aqueous mixture of bismuth citrate and sodium carbonate. The morphology of (BiO)2CO3 can be simply controlled by the reaction temperature. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, UV–vis diffuse reflection spectra, and photoluminescence spectra were applied to analyze the microstructures and properties of the samples. The flower-like and pinon-like (BiO)2CO3 superstructures were hierarchically self-assembled by nanoplates and showed increased light absorption owing to the multiple light reflection between the nanoplates. The thickness of nanoplates was increased with the increasing reaction temperatures due to the preferred growth along the (110) plane. The (BiO)2CO3 with various micro/nanostructures showed morphology-dependent photocatalytic activity toward removal of aqueous RhB. The as-prepared flower-like (BiO)2CO3 microspheres exhibited highest photocatalytic activity due to the large surface area, increased light absorption, enhanced charge carriers separation, and special architectures of hierarchical nanoplates microspheres, exceeding that of the P25.
Facile Synthesis of Organic-Inorganic Layered Nanojunctions of G-C3n4/(bio)2co3 As Efficient Visible Light Photocatalyst.

Abstract:Novel g-C3N4/(BiO)2CO3 organic-inorganic nanojunctioned photocatalysts were synthesized by in situ depositing (BiO)2CO3 nanoflakes onto the surface of g-C3N4 nanosheets through a one-pot efficient capture of atmospheric CO2 method at room temperature. The as-synthesized samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), N2 adsorption-desorption analysis and electron spin resonance (ESR). The photocatalytic activity of as-synthesized samples was evaluated by degrading Rhodamine B (RhB) and phenol in aqueous solution under visible-light irradiation. The g-C3N4/(BiO)2CO3 nanojunctions showed much higher visible-light photocatalytic activity than those of pure g-C3N4 and (BiO)2CO3 for the degradation of RhB and phenol. The enhanced photocatalytic activity can be mainly ascribed to the well-matched band structures, dye photosensitization and efficient crystal facets coupling interaction between g-C3N4 {002} and (BiO)2CO3 {002}. The ˙O2(-) radicals were identified as the main active species. Furthermore, the pure (BiO)2CO3 with highly exposed {002} crystal facets also exhibited excellent visible-light photoactivity for the degradation of RhB, which can be originated from the indirect dye photosensitization. The present work could provide a new strategy for the efficient utilization of atmospheric CO2 in green synthetic chemistry.
One-Pot Template-Free Synthesis, Growth Mechanism and Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity of Monodisperse (bio)(2)co3 Hierarchical Hollow Microspheres Self-Assembled with Single-Crystalline Nanosheets

Abstract:This work presents a one-pot template-free synthesis, detailed characterization, growth mechanism and application of well-defined uniform monodisperse (BiO)(2)CO3 hierarchical hollow microspheres self-assembled with single-crystalline nanosheets. The synthesis was conducted by hydrothermal treatment of bismuth citrate and sodium carbonate in water. Time-dependent evolutions of phase structure, composition, and morphology were investigated systematically and revealed that the growth mechanism of such novel structures involved a unique multistep pathway. First, near amorphous particles were produced through reaction, nucleation, crystallization, and aggregation processes. Then, stacked embryos of intermediate (BiO)(4)CO3(OH)(2) microspheres with attached particles were produced due to dissolution and recrystallization. Subsequently, stacked uniform solid microspheres with small particles attached on edges were generated by the consumption of particles through Ostwald ripening. The stacked microspheres further grew to form monodisperse hierarchical microspheres with a hole in the center, like flower buds. Finally, uniform monodisperse (BiO)(2)CO3 hierarchical hollow microspheres were produced through layers splitting. The aggregation of the self-assembled nanosheets contributed to the formation of 3D hierarchical architecture containing mesopores, which is favorable for efficient reactants transport and photo-energy harvesting. Furthermore, the band gap structure of (BiO)(2)CO3 was revealed by the experimental method combined with density functional theoretical calculation. As expected, the novel (BiO)(2)CO3 hierarchical hollow microspheres exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity due to the special hierarchical morphology, exceeding that of (BiO)(2)CO3 particles and commercial P25. The as-prepared uniform (BiO)(2)CO3 microspheres with well-defined hierarchical hollow structures are also ideal candidates for investigating their architecture-dependent performances in other areas, such as solar energy conversion, catalysis, electronics and so on.
Enhanced Photocatalytic Performance of Bi4Ti3O12 Nanosheets Synthesized by a Self-Catalyzed Fast Reaction Process

Abstract:Single-crystalline Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets with the exposed {001} facets have been successfully prepared using a novel self-catalyzed reaction route, which involves a fast reaction of Bi2O3 and TiO2 at 280 degrees C with the critical assistance of tartaric acid. It is believed that the formation of Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets is driven by the massive heat released during the oxidation of tartaric acid when Bi2O3 and TiO2 are mixed. With this simplified novel process, the synthesis of high quality Bi4Ti3O12 photocatalyst can be accomplished at low temperatures of 280 degrees C in less than 10 min. The as-obtained optimum nanosheet photocatalyst exhibits high visible light photodegradation of methyl orange, indicated by the 3.92 times higher efficiency than that of the Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets prepared by a widely acknowledged molten salt method. In addition, this Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheet photocatalyst presents high recycling ability and storage stability. The X-ray photoelectron spectrometer and electron paramagnetic resonance analyses reveal that oxygen vacancies are produced on the surface of as-prepared Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets after the self-catalyzed reaction, which then extend the valence band width and reduce the band gap of the Bi4Ti3O12 photocatalyst. It is therefore concluded that the much enhanced photocatalytic activity of the as prepared catalyst is the synergistic effects of the valence band widening that increases the separation efficiency of the photo-generated carriers and the band gap narrowing that broadens the absorption edge of light.

Abstract:The development of advanced photocatalysts for CO2 reduction (CO2R) has attracted intensive interest but is severely plagued by the intrinsically narrow photo-responsive range, inefficient carrier separation of the current supports. Herein, the unconventional atomic surface concaves with Bi-O-Br complex vacancies on thin Bi5O7Br nanotubes were designed and successfully synthesized. This concave-rich structures provide electron localized enrichment regions that could address the above two issues simultaneously. The unique concaves serve as the active sites that enable the exceptional capacity for the capture and activation of CO2 and the formation of key intermediates. Ultimately, an ultrahigh CO yield rate of 30.96 μmol g−1 h−1 was obtained under ambient conditions without anchoring extra metal active species or any sacrificial agents. Our work not only provides a promising support but also proposes a unique structure to optimize the photocatalytic performance.
