Abstract:By refining the generalized Riccati transformation technique, we obtain new oscillation criteria for a class of second-order half-linear delay dynamic equations with damping on a time scale. Assumptions in our theorems are less restrictive, these results complement and improve related contributions to the subject. In particular, the results obtained amend related results reported in the literature.

Abstract:This article concerns the oscillation of solutions to second-order half-linear dynamic equations with a variable delay. By using integral averaging techniques and generalized Riccati transformations, new oscillation criteria are obtained. Our results extend Kamenev-type, Philos-type and Li-type oscillation criteria. Several examples are given to illustrate our results.

Some sufficient conditions for oscillation of the studied equation are established. Abstract:In this paper, we deal with the asymptotic and oscillatory behavior of quasi-linear delay differential equations of fourth order. We first find new properties for a class of positive solutions of the studied equation, $ \mathcal{N}_{a} $. As an extension of the approach taken in [ 1 ] , we establish a new criterion that guarantees that $ \mathcal{N}_{a} = \emptyset $. Then, we create a new oscillation criterion.

Abstract:By using averaging functions and an inequality due to Hardy, Littlewood and Polya, several new oscillation criteria are established for the half-linear damped differential equation[r(t)\y'(t)\(alpha-1)y'(t)]' + p(t)\y'(t)\(alpha-1)y'(t) + q(t)\y(t)(alpha-1)y(t) = 0,where r is an element of C-1 ([t(0), infinity); (0, infinity)), alpha > 0 and p, q is an element of C[t(0), infinity). Our results extend and improve the oscillation criteria of Kamenev, Li and Philos for linear equations. Several examples are inserted in the text to illustrate our results.
