Abstract:In this paper, we use the algebraic manipulations and the properties of Chebyshev polynomials to obtain two interesting identities involving the power sums of the integral of the first kind Chebyshev polynomials, and partly solved an open problem proposed by Xiaoxue Li in a paper published recently. As some applications, we obtained some identities involving Fibonacci numbers and Lucas numbers.

Abstract:The present paper is concerned with the convergence problem of the variants of the Chebyshev–Halley iteration family with parameters for solving nonlinear operator equations in Banach spaces. Under the assumption that the first derivative of the operator satisfies the Hölder condition of order p, a convergence criterion of order 1+p for the iteration family is established. An application to a nonlinear Hammerstein integral equation of the second kind is provided.

Abstract:The various properties of classical Dedekind sums S ( h, q ) have been investi-gated by many authors. For example, Yanni Liu and Wenpeng Zhang: A hybrid mean value related to the Dedekind sums and Kloosterman sums, Acta Mathematica Sinica, 27 (2011), 435–440 studied the hybrid mean value properties involving Dedekind sums and generalized Kloosterman sums K ( m, n, r; q ). The main purpose of this paper, is using the analytic methods and the properties of character sums, to study the computational problem of one kind of hybrid mean value involving Dedekind sums and generalized Kloosterman sums, and give an interesting identity.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate applications of the ordinary derivative operator, instead of the $q$-derivative operator, to the theory of $q$-series. As main results, many new summation and transformation formulas are established which are closely related to some well-known formulas such as the $q$-binomial theorem, Ramanujan's ${}_1\psi_1$ formula, the quintuple product identity, Gasper's $q$-Clausen product formula, and Rogers' ${}_6\phi_5$ formula, etc. Among these results is a finite form of the Rogers-Ramanujan identity and a short way to Eisenstein's theorem on Lambert series.

Abstract:Our main focus here is a new type of degenerate poly-Euler polynomials and numbers. This focus stems from their nascent importance for applications in combinatorics, number theory and in other aspects of applied mathematics. We construct a new type of degenerate poly-Euler polynomials by using the degenerate polylogarithm functions. We also show several combinatorial identities related to this polynomials and numbers.

Abstract:After constructions of p-adic q-integrals, in recent years, these integrals with some of their special cases have not only been utilized as integral representations of many special numbers, polynomials, and functions but have also given the chance for deep analysis of many families of special polynomials and numbers, such as Bernoulli, Fubini, Bell, and Changhee polynomials and numbers. One of the main applications of these integrals is to obtain symmetric identities for the special polynomials. In this study, we focus on a novel extension of the degenerate Fubini polynomials and on obtaining some symmetric identities for them. First, we introduce the two-variable degenerate w-torsion Fubini polynomials by means of their exponential generating function. Then, we provide a fermionic p-adic integral representation of these polynomials. By this representation, we derive some new symmetric identities for these polynomials, using some special p-adic integral techniques. Lastly, by using some series manipulation techniques, we obtain more identities of symmetry for the two variable degenerate w-torsion Fubini polynomials.

Abstract:By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators and the bipartite entangled state representation, we derive some new identities about operator Hermite polynomials in both the single- and two-variable cases. We also find a binomial-like theorem between the single-variable Hermite polynomials and the two-variable Hermite polynomials. Application of these identities in deriving new integration formulas, but without really doing the integration in the usual sense, is demonstrated.

Abstract:In [4], B. C. Berndt and A. Zaharescu introduced the twisted divisor sums associated with the Dirichlet character while studying the Ramanujan's type identity involving finite trigonometric sums and doubly infinite series of Bessel functions. Later, in a follow-up paper [20], S. Kim extended the definition of the twisted divisor sums to twisted sums of divisor functions. In this paper, we derive identities associated with the aforementioned weighted divisor functions and the modified K-Bessel function in light of recent results obtained by the first author and B. Maji [1]. Moreover, we provide a new expression for L ( 1 , χ ) from which we establish the positivity of L ( 1 , χ ) for any real primitive character χ. In addition, we deduce Cohen-type identities and then exhibit the Voronoï-type summation formulas for them.

Abstract:In this work, we investigate and discuss Weierstrass-type functions ℘2k to the power of m, and then derive a general formula for identities among them. Applications of this general formula include not only producing many of the familiar identities among Weierstrass-type functions, but also infinitely many new ones. Moreover, it is observed that new Bernoulli identities could be constructed systematically by means of the new identities among Weierstrass-type functions.

Abstract:The Cauchy identities play an important role in the theory of symmetric functions. It is known that Cauchy sums for the $q$-Whittaker and the skew Schur polynomials produce the same factorized expressions modulo a $q$-Pochhammer symbol. We consider the sums with restrictions on the length of the first rows for labels of both polynomials and prove an identity which relates them. The proof is based on techniques from integrable probability: we rewrite the identity in terms of two probability measures: the $q$-Whittaker measure and the periodic Schur measure. The relation follows by comparing their Fredholm determinant formulas.
