Multistability Behaviors and Adaptive Sliding Mode Synchronization of Fractional-Order Chua’s Circuit Based on Coupled Memristors in Flux-Charge Domain

Abstract:In this paper, a fractional-order improved Chua’s circuit based on a pair of parallel coupled memristors is constructed and its mathematical model is established from the perspective of flux-charge domain. Four alterable constants are used to depict the initial values of coupled memristors, inductance, capacitances in the flux-charge model, and the infinite equilibrium points and stability are analyzed. Moreover, the complex dynamics are analyzed by the power spectrum, Lyapunov exponent spectra, basins of attraction, the bifurcation diagram. Especially, when the initial value of coupled memristors is chosen as the bifurcation parameter, the symmetric and asymmetric coexisting attractors are found, and the coexistence of many attractors is observed by changing the alterable constants. An adaptive sliding mode control technique is also proposed to synchronize systems with uncertain parameters and numerical simulations are taken to show the effectiveness of the synchronization algorithm. Finally, the fractional-order coupled analog circuit is undertaken to verify theory analyses.
