Abstract:An economic, efficient and green silver oxide nanoparticle catalyzed three-component coupling reaction of aldehydes, amines and alkynes was developed. This method provided various propargylamines in moderate to high yield at room temperature in air. The silver oxide nanoparticles could be separated simply and reused without significant decrease of activity.

Abstract:An efficient and practical method for the synthesis of medicinally important acridines from readily available o-aminoaryl ketones and arylboronic acids was developed using copper(II)-mediated relay reactions that involve intermolecular Chan-Lam cross-coupling and subsequent intramolecular Friedel-Crafts-type reactions. A sole promoter, i.e., Cu(OTf)2, was used; therefore, strongly acidic and basic conditions, nonreadily available or expensive substrates, additives, and noble-metal catalysts were not needed.

Abstract:In this research project, we first synthesized the magnetic manganese nanocatalyst by immobilizing the MnCl 2 on the surface of magnetic Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles modified with catechol and piperazine/phenanthroline ligand [Fe 3 O 4 @Catechol/PZ-Phen-MnCl 2 ], then we evaluated its catalytic performance in the synthesis of propargyl amines through the A 3 and KA 2 -coupling three-component reactions aromatic aldehydes or ketones, with alkynes, and amines. FT-IR, SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, TGA, VSM, ICP-OES and elemental mapping analyzes confirmed the successful synthesis of Fe 3 O 4 @Catechol/PZ-Phen-MnCl 2 nanocatalyst. The results of the coupling reactions confirmed that the Fe 3 O 4 @Catechol/PZ-Phen-MnCl 2 nanocomposite is a very efficient catalyst for the preparation of various derivatives of propargyl amines. This method has significant features compared to the previous methods, which can be mentioned as follows: synthesis of products with very high efficiency, carrying out the reaction under mild conditions and compatible with the environment, using green and recyclable catalyst, can being applicable to a wide range of substrates and providing NMR analysis for all propargyl amine products.

Abstract:A general and efficient synthesis of α‐amino‐α‐aryl carbonitriles through the three‐component reaction of arynes, aroyl cyanides, and DMF in a single step is described. DMF was not only used as the solvent, but it also participated in the reaction as a component. Used as the cyanide sources, the aroyl cyanides solved the toxicity and solubility problems associated with the use of HCN or metal cyanides in the Strecker synthesis. This procedure furnished α‐amino‐α‐aryl carbonitriles in moderate to good yields with broad substrate scope. Moreover, this reaction could be performed under mild conditions with high atom economy.

Abstract:A novel copper(I)-catalyzed three-component reaction for the efficient synthesis of 3-amino-2-pyrones and 2,5-dihydrofurans from propargyl alcohols, aldehydes, and amines has been developed. The starting materials are easily available and the scope of this method is broad. Through mechanistic studies, it is believed that the three-component reaction consists of an A3-coupling to propargylic amine, alkyne-allene isomerization, and intramolecular cyclization of the allenol to form a furan. In case of using ethyl glyoxalate as the aldehyde, a ring-opening, lactonization, and isomerization process affords the 3-amino-2-pyrones.
