Abstract:We construct a generalized Witten genus for spin$^c$ manifolds, which takes values in level 1 modular forms with integral Fourier expansion on a class of spin$^c$ manifolds called string$^c$ manifolds. We also construct a mod 2 analogue of the Witten genus for $8k+2$ dimensional spin manifolds. The Landweber-Stong type vanishing theorems are proven for the generalized Witten genus and the mod 2 Witten genus on string$^c$ and string (generalized) complete intersections in (product of) complex projective spaces respectively.

Abstract:We construct a mod 2 analogue of the Witten genus for 8k+2 dimensional spin manifolds, as well as modular characteristic numbers for a class of spinc manifolds which we call stringc manifolds. When these spinc manifolds are actually spin, one recovers the original Witten genus on string manifolds. These genera vanish on string and stringc complete intersections respectively in complex projective spaces.

Abstract:We prove vanishing results for Witten genera of string generalized complete intersections in homogeneous $\text{Spin}^c$-manifolds and in other $\text{Spin}^c$-manifolds with Lie group actions. By applying these results to Fano manifolds with second Betti number equal to one we get new evidence for a conjecture of Stolz.

Abstract:We study genus 1 Gromov-Witten invariants of Fano complete intersections in the projective spaces. Among other things, we show a reconstruction theorem for genus 1 invariants with only ambient insertions, and compute the genus 1 invariants with 1 marked point. For cubic hypersurfaces of dimension $\neq 4$ and odd dimensional intersections of two quadrics, we obtain a complete reconstruction theorem for genus 1 Gromov-Witten invariants.

Abstract:We consider generalized complete intersection manifolds in the product space of projective spaces, and work out useful aspects pertaining to the cohomology of sheaves over them. First, we present and prove a vanishing theorem on the cohomology groups of sheaves for subvarieties of the ambient product space of projective spaces. We then prove an equivalence between configuration matrices of complete intersection Calabi-Yau manifolds. We also present a formula of the genus of curves in generalized complete intersection manifolds. Some of these curves arise as the fixed point locus of certain symmetry group action on the generalized complete intersection Calabi-Yau manifolds. We also make a blowing-up along the curves, by which one can generate new Calabi-Yau manifolds. Moreover, an approach on spectral sequences is used to compute Hodge numbers of generalized complete intersection Calabi-Yau manifolds and the genus of curves therein.
Gromov--Witten Invariants of Non-Convex Complete Intersections in Weighted Projective Stacks

Abstract:In this paper we compute genus 0 orbifold Gromov--Witten invariants of Calabi--Yau threefold complete intersections in weighted projective stacks, regardless of convexity conditions. The traditional quantumn Lefschetz principle may fail even for invariants with ambient insertions. Using quasimap wall-crossing, we are able to compute invariants with insertions from a specific subring of the Chen--Ruan cohomology, which contains all the ambient cohomology classes. Quasimap wall-crossing gives a mirror theorem expressing the I-function in terms of the J-function via a mirror map. The key of this paper is to find a suitable GIT presentation of the target space, so that the mirror map is invertible. An explicit formula for the I-function is given for all those target spaces and many examples with explicit computations of invariants are provided.

Abstract:We study a family of moduli spaces and corresponding quantum invariants introduced recently by Fan-Jarvis-Ruan. The family has a wall-and-chamber structure relative to a positive rational parameter is an element of. For a Fermat quasi-homogeneous polynomial W (not necessarily of Calabi-Yau type), we study natural generating functions packaging the invariants. Our wall-crossing formula relates the generating functions by showing that they all lie on the Lagrangian cone associated to the Fan-Jarvis-Ruan-Witten theory of W. For arbitrarily small parameter is an element of, a specialization of our generating function is a hypergeometric series called the big I-function which determines the entire Lagrangian cone. As a special case of our wall-crossing, we obtain a new geometric interpretation of the Landau-Ginzburg mirror theorem.

Abstract:In this article, we construct the reduced genus-two Gromov-Witten invariants for certain almost Kähler manifold $(X, \omega, J)$ such that $J$ is integrable and satisfies some regularity conditions. In particular, the standard projective space $(¶^n, \omega_0, J_0)$ of dimension $n \le 7$ satisfies these conditions. This invariant counts the number of simple genus-two $J$-holomorphic curves that satisfy appropriate number of constraints.

Abstract:We construct a global B-model for any quasi-homogeneous polynomial f that has properties similar to the properties of the physic's B-model on a Calabi-Yau manifold. The main ingredients in our construction are K. Saito's theory of primitive forms and Givental's higher genus reconstruction. More precisely, we consider the moduli space M-mar degrees of the so-called marginal deformations of f . For each point sigma is an element of M-mam degrees mar we introduce the notion of an opposite subspace in the twisted de Rham cohomology of the corresponding singularity f(sigma) and prove that opposite subspaces are in one-to-one correspondence with the splittings of the Hodge structure in the vanishing cohomology of f(sigma). Therefore, according to M. Saito, an opposite subspace gives rise to a semi-simple Frobenius structure on the space of miniversal deformations of f(sigma). Using Givental's higher genus reconstruction we define a total ancestor potential A(sigma) ((h) over bar, q) whose properties can be described quite elegantly in terms of the properties of the corresponding opposite subspace. For example, if the opposite subspace corresponds to the splitting of the Hodge structure given by complex conjugation, then the total ancestor potential is monodromy invariant and it satisfies the BCOV holomorphic anomaly equations. The coefficients of the total ancestor potential could be viewed as quasi-modular forms on M-Mar degrees in a certain generalized sense. As an application of our construction, we consider the case of a Fermat polynomial W that defines a Calabi-Yau hypersurface X-w in a weighted-projective space. We have constructed two opposite subspaces and proved that the corresponding total ancestor potentials can be identified with respectively the total ancestor potential of the orbifold quotient X-W/(G) over tilde (W) and the total ancestor potential of FJRW invariants corresponding to (W, G(W)). Here G(W) is the maximal group of diagonal symmetries of W and (G) over tilde (W) is a quotient of G(W) by the subgroup of those elements that act trivially on X-W. In particular, our result establishes the so-called Landau-Ginzburg/Calabi-Yau correspondence for the pair (W, G(W)).
Higher Genus Gromov-Witten Theory of C^n/Z_n II: Crepant Resolution Correspondence

Abstract:We study the structure of the higher genus Gromov-Witten theory of the total space $K\mathbb{P}^{n-1}$ of the canonical bundle of the projective space $\mathbb{P}^{n-1}$. We prove the finite generation property for the Gromov-Witten potential of $K\mathbb{P}^{n-1}$ by working out the details of its cohomological field theory (CohFT). More precisely, we prove that the Gromov-Witten potential of $K\mathbb{P}^{n-1}$ lies in an explicit polynomial ring using the Givental-Teleman classification of the semisimple CohFTs. In <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2301.08389" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2301.08389">arXiv:2301.08389</a>, we carried out a parallel study for $[\mathbb{C}^n/\mathbb{Z}_n]$ and proved that the Gromov-Witten potential of $[\mathbb{C}^n/\mathbb{Z}_n]$ lies in a similar polynomial ring. The main result of this paper is a crepant resolution correspondence for higher genus Gromov-Witten theories of $K\mathbb{P}^{n-1}$ and $[\mathbb{C}^n/\mathbb{Z}_n]$, which is proved by establishing an isomorphism between the polynomial rings associated to $K\mathbb{P}^{n-1}$ and $[\mathbb{C}^n/\mathbb{Z}_n]$. This paper generalizes the works of Lho-Pandharipande <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1804.03168" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1804.03168">arXiv:1804.03168</a> for the case of $[\mathbb{C}^3/\mathbb{Z}_3]$ and Lho <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2211.15878" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2211.15878">arXiv:2211.15878</a> for the case $[\mathbb{C}^5/\mathbb{Z}_5]$ to arbitrary $n\geq 3$.

Abstract:In this paper, the generalized Bloch Conjecture on zero cycles for the quotient of certain complete intersections with trivial canonical bundle is proved to hold. As an application of Bloch-Srinivas method on the decomposition of the diagonal, we compute the rational coefficient Lawson homology for 1-cycles and codimension two cycles for these quotient varieties. The (Generalized) Hodge Conjecture is proved to hold for codimension two cycles (and hence also for 2-cycles) on these quotient varieties.

Abstract:We reconstruct the all-genus Fan-Jarvis-Ruan-Witten invariants of a Fermat cubic Landau-Ginzburg space $(x_1^3+x_2^3+x_3^3: [\mathbb{C}^3/ \mathbold{\mu}_3]\to \mathbb{C})$ from genus-one primary invariants, using tautological relations and axioms of Cohomological Field Theories. These genus-one invariants satisfy a Chazy equation by the Belorousski-Pandharipande relation. They are completely determined by a single genus-one invariant, which can be obtained from cosection localization and intersection theory on moduli of three spin curves. We solve an all-genus Landau-Ginzburg/Calabi-Yau Correspondence Conjecture for the Fermat cubic Landau-Ginzburg space using Cayley transformation on quasi-modular forms. This transformation relates two non-semisimple CohFT theories: the Fan-Jarvis-Ruan-Witten theory of the Fermat cubic polynomial and the Gromov-Witten theory of the Fermat cubic curve. As a consequence, Fan-Jarvis-Ruan-Witten invariants at any genus can be computed using Gromov-Witten invariants of the elliptic curve. They also satisfy nice structures including holomorphic anomaly equations and Virasoro constraints.

Abstract:Let $X$ be a smooth projective surface and $D$ a smooth rational ample divisor in $X$. We prove an all-genus generalization of the genus $0$ WDVV equation for primary Gromov--Witten invariants of the local 3-fold $\mathcal{O}_X(-D)$. The proof relies on a correspondence between all-genus Gromov--Witten invariants and refined Donaldson--Thomas invariants of acyclic quivers. In particular, the corresponding BPS invariants are expressed in terms of Betti numbers of moduli spaces of quiver representations.

Abstract:We show that for singular hypersurfaces, a version of their genus-zero Gromov-Witten theory may be described in terms of a direct limit of fixed point Floer cohomology groups, a construction which is more amenable to computation and easier to define than the technical foundations of the enumerative geometry of more general singular symplectic spaces. As an illustration, we give a direct proof of closed-string mirror symmetry for nodal curves of genus greater than or equal to 2, using calculations of (co)product structures on fixed point Floer homology of Dehn twists due to Yao-Zhao.

Abstract:We prove a genus zero Givental-style mirror theorem for all complete intersections in proper toric Deligne-Mumford stacks, which provides an explicit slice called big $I-$function on Givental's Lagrangian cone for such targets. In particular, we remove a technical assumption called convexity needed in previous quantum Lefschetz theorem.

Abstract:In this article we propose a definition of super Gromov-Witten invariants by postulating a torus localization property for the odd directions of the moduli spaces of super stable maps and super stable curves of genus zero. That is, we define super Gromov-Witten invariants as the integral over the pullback of homology classes along the evaluation maps divided by the equivariant Euler class of the normal bundle of the embedding of the moduli space of stable spin maps into the moduli space of super stable maps. This definition sidesteps the difficulties of defining a supergeometric intersection theory and works with classical intersection theory only. The properties of the normal bundles, known from the differential geometric construction of the moduli space of super stable maps, imply that super Gromov-Witten invariants satisfy a generalization of Kontsevich-Manin axioms and allow for the construction of a super small quantum cohomology ring. We describe a method to calculate super Gromov-Witten invariants of $\mathbb{P}^n$ of genus zero by a further geometric torus localization and give explicit numbers in degree one when dimension and number of marked points are small.
