Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, {[Cd(C8H4O4)(C6H6N4S2)2]·H2O}n, the CdII ion is located on a twofold axis, and is coordinated by two diaminobithiazole ligands and two terephthalate dianions in a distorted octahedral geometry. The terephthalate dianion, located on an inversion centre, bridges the CdII ions to form polymeric chains.

Abstract:The title polymeric complex [Co(C8H4O4)(C7H6N2)(2)](n) has been prepared and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction method. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 7.7865(12), b = 20.4215(18), c = 13.4880(14) angstrom, beta = 103.298(2)degrees, V = 2087.3 (4) angstrom(3), M-r = 459.32, Z = 4, D-c= 1.462 g/cm(3), mu = 0.859 mm(-1), F(000) = 940, R = 0.0636 and wR = 0. 1639 for 1278 observed reflections (I > 2 sigma(I)). The complex assumes a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry, formed by two phthalate anions and two benzimidazoles (bzim). The phthalate anions bridge the neighboring Co(II) atoms to form the polymeric chains. The centroid distance of 3.471(3) angstrom between the parallel bzim rings of adjacent polymeric chains suggests the existence of pi-pi stacking.

Abstract:The title complex, [Eu(C6H4O2)(3)(H2O)(2)], has a double carboxylate-bridged infinite-chain structure, with one chelating carboxylate group on each Eu ion centre, which also binds to two water molecules to yield an eight-coordinate square-antiprismatic geometry, with Eu-O bond lengths in the range 2.338 (3)-2.594 (3) Angstrom. The pyridine N atoms of the isonicotinate groups do not coordinate to the Eu ions; instead, they direct the formation of Eu III coordination polymers via hydrogen bonding with coordinated water molecules.

Abstract:The three-dimensional coordination polymer, [Eu-2(C6H2O4S) (3)(H2O)(4)](n), has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. The asymmetric unit comprises one Eu3+ cation, two aqua ligands and one and a half thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylate anions (the half-anion being completed by a twofold rotation axis). The Eu3+ cation is eight-coordinated in a distorted dodecahedral geometry. The crystal structure features O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:The title polymeric compound, {[ Eu2Cu(C7H3O4)(4)(H2O)(6)]center dot 2H(2)O} (n), was prepared by a hydrothermal reaction at 453 K. The Eu-III ion has a double-capped trigonal prismatic coordination geometry with an NdNO7 core, while the Cu-II ion is located on an inversion center and assumes a squareplanar coordination geometry. The pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylate dianions bridge the Eu-III and Cu-II ions, forming a three-dimensional polymeric structure.

Abstract:The structure of N-(oxabutyl-2-ene acid)-2,3-benzo-10-aza-1,4,7,13-tetraoxacyclopentadeca-2-ene (L) was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is triclinic, space group P1 with cell dimensions of a = 0.80821(13) nm, b = 1.08777(13) nm, c = 1.09263(13) nm, alpha = 113.045(50)degrees, beta =95.428(11)degrees, gamma = 91.162(12)degrees, V= 0.8782(2) nm(3), Z= 2, mu,(MoK alpha) = 0.107 nm(-1), D-x = 1.382 g cm(-3). The ligand L has an intramolecular hydrogen bond [O(7)-(HO)-O-...(5)] resulting in the formation of a seven-membered ring.
