Abstract:As the third molecular marker technology, single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) has been used in many areas and owning the bright future. This thesis introduced the definition, classification, character, the method of detection and the using in crop of, SNP, discussed the application of SNP on construction of high- density genetic map, trait mapping, analysis of disease association and marker-assisted breeding, gave the theory basis for the studies in field of SNP.
