Researching on the Change of Government’s Funding Way for Higher Education---Discussing on the Preservation or Abolition of the“985”,“211”Project

Abstract:Since the“211”and“985”projects have been implemented in the early 1990s,they have speeded up the development of higher education,especially the high-quality higher education,and has achieved an obvious achievement in China. But with the development of China,China’s higher education is facing the new challenges and requirements;the mode of development must be transformed urgently to enlarge the university’s autonomy and improve the quality and school in characteristics and advantages,which have become the main line of the develop-ment of China’s higher education for the time being. But there are inherent contradictions between the funding ways of“211”and“985”project and the new development mode. Based on the analysis of the funding mode of“211”and“985”project and searching the problems a feasible path of transformation the mode of funding for high-er education of our country was put forward,and a clear response to the abolition of“985”,“211”project is given at last.
