Academic Inheritance and Reconstruction--Take The Art History in Chinese Anti-Japanese War as an Analysis Case

Abstract:Chinese modern literature research has always been a historical process. The disciplines and specialties involved are the results of several generation scholars’ efforts and careful management. The relationship between each individual discipline leader and his team are co-existing and co-influencing. In the early 1980s, Mr. De Fazhu help home famous literature historian Tian Zhongji modify The Art History in Chinese Anti-Japanese War. In the process, these two figures, representing two generations of scholars, adhered to the academic public, respected history, rigorously pursued study and sincerely treated each other, leaving us a typical text in a modern literature historical text in a particular age. This paper reviews the modifying process, savors the revision content, and investigates the process of academic inheritance and looks back the experiences in compiling literary history. The present research will provide important implication on the research on modern and contemporary literature and the discipline construction.
