Abstract:We initiate a study on a range of new generalized derivations of finite-dimensional Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. This new generalization of derivations has an analogue in the theory of associative prime rings and unites many well-known generalized derivations that have already appeared extensively in the study of Lie algebras and other nonassociative algebras. After exploiting fundamental properties, we introduce and analyze their interiors, especially focusing on the rationality of the corresponding Hilbert series. Applying techniques in computational ideal theory we develop an approach to explicitly compute these new generalized derivations for the three-dimensional special linear Lie algebra over the complex field.

Taking G as an automorphism group, the concept of G-derivations, which is a derivation under both the bilinear and trilinear operations is defined for Lie-Yamaguti algebras. Then some important properties of G-derivations are studied along with their relationship with other generalized derivations of Lie-Yamaguti algebras.

Abstract:In this note, we will prove that a finite dimensional Lie algebra $L$ of characteristic zero, admitting an abelian algebra of derivations $D\leq Der(L)$ with the property $$ L^n\subseteq \sum_{d\in D}d(L) $$ for some $n\geq 1$, is necessarily solvable. As a result, if $L$ has a derivation $d:L\to L$, such that $L^n\subseteq d(L)$, for some $n\geq 1$, then $L$ is solvable.

Abstract:In this paper we describe the derivations of orthosymplectic Lie superalgebras over a superring. In particular, we derive sufficient conditions under which the derivations can be expressed as a semidirect product of inner and outer derivations. We then present some examples for which these conditions hold.

Abstract:Given a commutative algebra $A$, we exhibit a canonical structure of post-Lie algebra on the space $A\otimes Der(A)$ where $Der(A)$ is the space of derivations on $A$, in order to use the machinery given in [Guin & Oudom 2008] and [Ebrahimi-Fard & Lundervold & Munthe-Kaas 2015] and to define a Hopf algebra structure on the associated enveloping algebra with a natural action on $A$. We apply these results to the setting of [Linares & Otto & Tempelmayr 2023], giving a simpler and more efficient construction of their action and extending the recent work [Bruned & Katsetsiadis]. This approach gives an optimal setting to perform explicit computations in the associated structure group.

Abstract:This paper initiates the study of 2-local derivations on Lie algebras over fields of prime characteristic. Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a simple Jacobson-Witt algebra $W_n$ over a field of prime characteristic $p$ with cardinality no less than $p^n$. In this paper, we study properties of 2-local derivations on $\mathfrak{g}$, and show that every 2-local derivation on $\mathfrak{g}$ is a derivation.

Abstract:We prove that every 2-local derivation from the algebra $M_n(\mathcal{A})(n>2)$ into its bimodule $M_n(\mathcal{M})$ is a derivation, where $\mathcal{A}$ is a unital Banach algebra and $\mathcal{M}$ is a unital $\mathcal{A}$-bimodule such that each Jordan derivation from $\mathcal{A}$ into $\mathcal{M}$ is an inner derivation, and that every 2-local derivation on a C*-algebra with a faithful traceable representation is a derivation. We also characterize local and 2-local Lie derivations on some algebras such as von Neumann algebras, nest algebras, Jiang-Su algebra and UHF algebras.

Abstract:The present paper is devoted to study 2-local derivations on infinite-dimensional Lie algebras over a field of characteristic zero. We prove that all 2-local derivations on the Witt algebra as well as on the positive Witt algebra are (global)derivations, and give an example of infinite-dimensional Lie algebra with a 2-local derivation which is not a derivation.

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to study cohomological theory of n-Lie algebras with derivations. We define the representation of an n-LieDer pair and consider its cohomology. Likewise, we verify that a cohomology of an n-LieDer pair could be derived from the cohomology of associated LeibDer pair. Furthermore, we discuss the (n−1)-order deformations and the Nijenhuis operator of n-LieDer pairs. The central extensions of n-LieDer pairs are also investigated in terms of the first cohomology groups with coefficients in the trivial representation.

Abstract:The additive (generalized) $\xi$-Lie derivations on prime algebras are characterized. It is shown, under some suitable assumption, that an additive map $L$ is an additive (generalized) Lie derivation if and only if it is the sum of an additive (generalized) derivation and an additive map from the algebra into its center vanishing all commutators; is an additive (generalized) $\xi$-Lie derivation with $\xi\not=1$ if and only if it is an additive (generalized) derivation satisfying $L(\xi A)=\xi L(A)$ for all $A$. These results are then used to characterize additive (generalized) $\xi$-Lie derivations on several operator algebras such as Banach space standard operator algebras and von Neumman algebras.

Abstract:We establish a correspondence between automorphisms and derivations on certain algebras of generalised power series. In particular, we describe a Lie algebra of derivations on a field $k(\!(G)\!)$ of generalised power series, exploiting our knowledge of its group of valuation preserving automorphisms. The correspondence is given by the formal Taylor expansion of the exponential. In order to define the exponential map, we develop an appropriate notion of summability of infinite families in algebras. We show that there is a large class of algebras in which the exponential induces the above correspondence.

Abstract:In this work, we introduce the notion of local and $2$-local $\delta$-derivations and describe local and $2$-local $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation of finite-dimensional solvable Lie algebras with filiform, Heisenberg, and abelian nilradicals. Moreover, we describe the local $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation of oscillator Lie algebras, Schr{ö}dinger algebras, and Lie algebra with a three-dimensional simple part, whose radical is an irreducible module. We prove that an algebra with only trivial $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation does not admit local and $2$-local $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation, which is not $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation.

Abstract:This paper mainly studies the ResLieDer pair in characteristic 2, that is, a restricted Lie algebra with a restricted derivation. We define the restricted representation of a ResLieDer pair and the corresponding cohomology complex. We show that a ResLieDer pair is rigid if the second cohomology group is trivial and a deformation of order $n$ is extensible if and only if its obstruction class is trivial. Moreover, we prove that the central extensions of a ResLieDer pair are classified by the second cohomology group. Finally, we show that a pair of restricted derivations is extensible if and only if its obstruction class is trivial.

Abstract:We prove that if Δ is a norm-continuous weak ∗ -2-local derivation on a von Neumann algebra M and satisfies Δ(p+iμq)=Δ(p)+iμΔ(q) for every pair of projections p and q in M , and every μ∈R , then Δ is a derivation. We further show that every weak-local derivation of an R∗ -algebra is a derivation and that every weak-2-local inner derivation on a unital R∗ -algebra is a derivation. Finally, we show that if φ is a 2-local Lie ∗ -isomorphism of a factor M with no central summands of type I 1 or I 2 , then φ only has one of two forms: (1) θ+λ where θ is a ∗ -isomorphism and λ is a ∗ -linear map from M into CIM which annihilates every commutator of M or (2) - θ+λ where θ is a ∗ -anti-isomorphism and λ as before.

Abstract:In this paper we study non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz -algebras with one-dimensional derived subalgebra, where is a field with . We prove that such an algebra is isomorphic to the direct sum of the two-dimensional non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz algebra and an abelian algebra. We denote it by , where . This generalizes the result found in Demir et al. (Algebras and Representation Theory 19:405-417, 2016), which is only valid when . Moreover, we find the Lie algebra of derivations, its Lie group of automorphisms and the Leibniz algebra of biderivations of . Eventually, we solve the coquecigrue problem for by integrating it into a Lie rack.
