Simulating-Oriented Workflow Model

Abstract:Enterprise Model Simulating is the base of Enterprise Model Optimization and Enterprise Information Diagnosis. Illogical factors can be analyzed through simulating, and then the model can be optimized and reengineered. However, the majority of current Process Model Simulating Systems need build complex Simulating Environments. Aiming at this, the paper brings forward a Simulating-Oriented Workflow Model, which expands the Process Model with Simulating Environments and which integrates the Process Model and Simulating Environments together. Not only does the Simulating-Oriented Workflow Model describe the interrelationships of activities of Business Process, but also it defines the resources, organizations, schedules and transactions, which are needed in the virtual computer executing. Thus the model pays great conveniences for simulating. In this paper, the Simulating-Oriented Workflow Model is proposed, the relationships of Process Model and Simulating Environments are analyzed, the realization of the simulating system based on this model is briefly illuminated, and the merits of the Simulating-Oriented Workflow Model are discussed at the end.
