Abstract:A long Nd-doped phosphate glass waveguide laser pumped by laser diodes is demonstrated. The Nd:glass waveguide provides around 18W CW output with M y 2 × M x 2 = 16 × 3.2 Influence of the thermal lensing and pump distribution is also discussed.
