The problem encountered in this field is that a good result is usually hard to obtain when primaries and multiples have overlap. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive multiple subtraction method based on constrained independent component analysis (CICA). In this method, the prediction error obtained by multidimensional prediction error filters (PEFs), which measure the lateral continuity of the primaries, is adopted as a constraint term in the objective function of CICA.
