Abstract:This paper presents an exponential synchronization scheme between two chaotic systems with different structures and parameters. A unified model consisting of a linear dynamic system and a bounded static nonlinear operator is employed to describe these totally different chaotic systems. A novel state feedback control law is established to exponentially synchronize the two unified models with different parameters. Most chaotic systems with different structures and parameters, such as Hopfield neural networks, cellular neural networks, Chua’s circuits, unified chaotic systems, Qi systems, and chaotic recurrent multilayer perceptrons, can be transformed into this unified model with the synchronization controller designed in a unified way. Two numerical examples are exploited to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design schemes.

Abstract:A method of adaptive synchronization of one-dimensional discrete chaotic systems on complex networks is proposed. The nodes of complex networks are constructed by one-dimensional discrete chaotic systems, we consider a general drive-response synchronization model of one-dimensional discrete chaotic systems on complex dynamical networks. Based on the adaptive control technique, the parameter adaptive laws and property conversion laws are given to achieve synchronization and parameters identification simultaneously. Simulation results show that the arithmetic average and geometric mean of all the nodes states are equal, furthermore, the unknown node parameters can be successfully identified, all nodes are transformed to drive nodes. This indicates that chaos synchronization is reached in the whole networks.

Abstract:Based on the stability theory of fractional order systems, an effective but theoretically rigorous nonlinear control method is proposed to synchronize the fractional order chaotic systems. Using this method, chaos synchronization between two identical fractional order unified systems is studied. Simulation results are shown to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.

By using the synchronization scheme proposed herein, we have realized perfect generalized chaos synchronization in two dimensional coupled maps. Abstract:For solving the chaos synchronization problem between two chaotic systems with bidirectional coupling,a new synchronization method of chaotic systems based on time-delayed feedback was presented.Coupling coefficients between the drive and response systems were assumed identically and states were supposed to be linearly-coupled.Based on the Lyapunov stability theory,the condition was derived for synchronization according to the error dynamic system of the synchronization model.The scope of coupling parameters was obtained by solving Riccati equations. After delay time was selected appropriately,the effects of the states between the response system and the drive system were studied.The results show that the synchronization and control of systems can be guaranteed in the parameter scope.The trace of coupling chaotic systems can be synchronized by the changing delay time of control signal,and the system can be controlled to the fixed point or the period orbit.

Abstract:Based on geometric theory of nonlinear feedback control, a new method to synchronize chaotic systems was put forward. As prerequisite of an appropriate smooth vector field by virtue of nonlinear differential geometry theory to assure the normalization of the receiver system was completed, and then in terms of differences of outputs and their different orders derivatives of the transmitter and receiver, the synchronization error state equations were constructed. By pole assignment, a nonlinear controller to synchronization output signals of two chaotic systems was also given and extended to the whole or part of the states of the two systems. As a result; numerical simulation to the Chua's circuit and its application in secure communication proves the efficacy of the suggested methods.

Abstract:This paper presents some novel synchronization methods for two discrete-time chaotic systems with different time delays, which are transformed into two unified models. First, the H ∞ performance of the synchronization error dynamical system between the drive unified model and the response one is analyzed using the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. Second, the novel state feedback controllers are established to guarantee H ∞ performance for the overall system. The parameters of these controllers are determined by solving the eigenvalue problem (EVP). Most discrete-time chaotic systems with or without time delays can be converted into this unified model, and H ∞ synchronization controllers are designed in a unified way. The effectiveness of the proposed design methods are demonstrated by three numerical examples.

Abstract:In the paper, in light of the LaSalle-type invariance principle for stochastic differential equations, chaos synchronization is investigated for a class of chaotic systems dissatisfying a globally Lipschitz condition with noise perturbation. Sufficient criteria for both complete synchronization and generalized synchronization are rigorously established and thus successfully applied to realize chaos synchronization in the coupled unified chaotic systems. Furthermore, concrete examples as well as their numerical simulations are provided to illustrate the possible application of the established criteria.

Abstract:Based on the Chen chaotic system, this paper constructs a new three-dimensional chaotic system with higher order nonlinear term and studies the basic dynamic behaviours of the system. The modified generalized projective synchronization has been observed in the coupled new three-dimensional chaotic system with unknown parameters. Furthermore, based on Lyapunov stability theory, it obtains the control laws and adaptive laws of parameters to make modified generalized projective synchronization of the coupled new three-dimensional chaotic systems. Numerical simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.

Abstract:Anti-synchronization between different hyperchaotic systems is presented using the Chen and a new system. When the parameters of two systems are known, one can apply active synchronization method. When the parameters are unknown or uncertain, one can apply adaptive synchronization method. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed two schemes.

Abstract:Based on the Chen chaotic system, a new four-dimensional hyperchaotic Chen system is constructed, and the basic dynamic behaviours of the system were studied, and the generalized synchronization has been observed in the coupled four-dimensional hyperchaotic Chen system with unknown parameters. The Routh-Hurwitz theorem is used to derive the conditions of stability of this system. Furthermore based on Lyapunov stability theory, the control laws and adaptive laws of parameters are obtained to make generalized synchronization of the coupled new four-dimensional hyperchaotic Chen systems. Numerical simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.

Abstract:In this paper, generalized synchronization of two chaotic systems is investigated. The auxiliary system approach, which is suggested by H. Abarbanel, N. Rulkov, and M. Sushchik [Phys. Rev. E 53, 4528 (1996)], is used to detect and study generalized synchronization. Based on the Lyapunov method and matrix measure, some less restrictive criteria are obtained to guarantee the asymptotical stability of the error system between the response system and the auxiliary system, which indicates the drive-response systems are synchronized in a general sense. It is shown that the feedback gain can be reduced by means of the matrix measure approach, compared to the norm method. All theoretical results are illustrated by analytical and numerical examples.

Abstract:In this paper, the problem of chaotic synchronization is studied. The systems under consideration have different structure and dynamical feature. Also the systems are subject to disturbances. The problem addressed is the design of a synchronization scheme such that, the response chaotic system has an adaptive controller which can synchronize the driving chaotic system. The nonlinear controller under consideration is composed of the estimations of the two systems’ original parameters. Lyapunov function is developed to confirm the chaotic synchronization scheme. A numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed synchronization scheme.

Abstract:Generalized function projective lag synchronization of different structure hyperchaotic systems with different time delays was studied.Based on Lyapunov stability theory and adaptive control method,the nonlinear controllers were designed,and the output of the drive system was proportionally lagging behind the output of the response system and ratio of the two systems was desired function scaling matrix.Then,this method was applied to secure communication through chaotic masking modulation.Numerical simulations confirm that both the proposed synchronization method and the secure communication scheme are effective.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of synchronization between two different chaotic systems with discontinuous coupling. Based on the stability theory and the comparison theorem of differential equations, we derive less restrictive synchronization conditions than those resulting from the Lyapunov theory. The theoretical results show that generalized synchronization between two different chaotic systems can be achieved if the time-average coupling strength is large enough. Finally, the corresponding numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed schemes.

Abstract:This paper deals with the synchronization of chaotic systems with structure or parameters difference. Nonlinear differential geometry theory was applied to transform the chaotic discrepancy system into canonical form. A feedback control for synchronizing two chaotic systems is proposed based on sliding mode control design. To make this controller physically realizable, an extended state observer is used to estimate the error between the transmitter and receiver. Two illustrative examples were carried out: (1) The Chua oscillator was used to show that synchronization was achieved and the message signal was recovered in spite of parametric variations; (2) Two second-order driven oscillators were presented to show that the synchronization can be achieved and that the message can be recovered in spite of the strictly different model.

Abstract:Aimed at chaotic systems with unknown parameters,an adaptive chaotic synchronization method based on parameters identification and Riccati inequality was proposed. By using Lyapunov stability theory,the rule that chaotic synchronization could be transformed into the resolution of a Riccati inequality was proved.A synchronous chaotic receive system was constructed by a state observer method,and the unknown parameters were identified by steepest descend method.The condition of chaotic synchronous secure communication realization was analyzed by applying the concept of severe positive real function.The corresponding Riccati inequality and equality group was constructed and resolved to obtain the object matrix,and the chaotic system synchronization and the parameter adaptive identification were achieved.Chua's synchronous circuit and two-channel secure communication were simulated.The results show that the proposed method can rapidly realize the synchronization of two chaotic systems with unknown parameters,and can encrypt complexly and received accurately the information signal.

Abstract:A systematic approach to construct two chaotically synchronized systems was developed. An object matrix was found to satisfy a Riccati inequality to design the synchronized chaotic Lipschitz state-observer through using the LMI (linear matrix inequality) toolbox. The proposed method, combining chaotic masking and chaotic modulation, was then applied to secure communication. The complex encrypted information signal was injected into the chaos system and simultaneously transmitted to the receiver after chaotic masking. The information signal was recovered through a complex decrypter in the synchronized receiver. Furthermore, the well-known Chua's circuit was considered as illustration examples to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
